There'll be an ASCII version of the book simultaneous with the hardcover, licensed under Creative Commons terms.

My take on this would be to look at the direction of
SpamAssassin. I've been score-filtering email for
5 years, but SpamAssassin works because it takes the
"score development" up a level to the community.
Yet - I still figure it's early days yet for filters.
Stateful filters are the next step - noting what I
see and how I respond, and modifying filtering
behaviour in accordance with that. Even in the
current state, SpamAssassin is about 95% effective
'out-of-the-box', and a pair of tweaks has mine up
to about 99%. I've only had to whitelist two
"newsletter" addresses.

As long as I 100% own my implants and can set them
up how *I* want them, I don't see a big problem.
Heck, for some people, cell phones might as well
BE implants.

Guess I'll have to go track down DAOITMK when it
arrives.

Anyone know if the launch will include an ebook
version?

Congratulations, Cory.

It *is* a fine book, guys, and a weird one. I read it with that scalp-tingling sensation you get when you come across a fictional world that's very strange and yet dead on. It's a zesty, sexy, fun romp through a society that's post-Singularity and bored, full of wry observations about group dynamics, reputational capital, infectious memes and the usefulness of assassination in the running of an amusement park... and if that won't get you to read it, your on the wrong blog.
