The moot court was a very interesting post, and I'm surprised you haven't gotten any substantive comments about it yet. Anyway, here's mine. The difficulty with calling something "property" is that it's inflexible; it defines a certain thing, space, practice, or whatever as mine, to the world's exclusion. And in spectrum this would be very inefficient, as Lessig says. But the alternative to property is not necessarily a commons. My right NOT to be physically assaulted is not usually seen as a property right--my body as my property--but as part of a bundle of rights that humanity, and citizenship, confer. A bundle of rights gets labeled "property" when it passes certain tests, but it can be useful even far short of that label. So who should define that bundle? Obviously not the FCC, for reasons stated. But we do have a very fine instrument at hand: the common law, which would define the necessary bundle of rights in pragmatic ways that could evolve over time as necessity requires.

Since you may not want to read everything that's on my mind, use any of the tools available to filter Boing Boing. You could, for example, get Boing Boing by email and filter it. You could use RSS and filter it.

a) Configure an RSS reader to give you the "more" feature.

b) Wrap the RSS reader in a site, call it bbrepeats, and you
have bb with 'more links'.

Look at it this way - it's YOUR problem - you solve it.

BoingBoing desperately needs a 'Read More' link on articles over a certain line count. All this liveblogging is breaking my finely honed, high speed weblog post scanning routines...!

I would have loved to have sean it live - but the audio quality on the Real Video feed was so bad I couldn't listen to it. They had the levels set WAAAAY too high.

I REALLY hope this was a problem with the Real-video encoding and that the origonal audio files/tapes/disks are ok.

The other feeds were broken when I tried them.
