I find "ground breaking for any consumer appliance" totally ground breaking in a Jobs press release about pre-installed software on a personal computer. I should have sold Win95 machines 5 years ago with Virgil pre-installed. Yawn.

Note that the hardware acceleration requires 32mb vram and AGP 2x, which even the iBook that Apple is selling RIGHT NOW doesn't have. I was looking forward to this release because I thought that whatever acceleration that the Rage Mobility 128 chip could offer would at least be used, but stupid me - Jaguar will be as slow as 10.1.4 is now.

Yeah, this really takes the cake! I just bought a $3000 Tibook not 6 months ago and it looks like this newest operating system will completely ignore its graphic chip!!!!

Also, it's 16Mb for Quartz Extreme, not 32Mb. Please get your facts right before you flame.
