Just because people mis-use a term doesn't make the term meaningless. The term "ovo-lacto vegetarian" is used as you'd think it was, as is vegan. If someone claims to be a vegetarian but eats chicken or fish, then they are simply lying so they can seem more sensitive or aware (or something - honestly I can't see why anyone bothers). You cannot claim to be a pacifist if you support war; you cannot claim to be a vegetarian if you eat the flesh of dead animals.

Stupid lawsuit that McDonald's settled for purely PR reasons. The word vegetarian has become largely meaningless ... many people who call themselves vegetarian also eat fish, others eat eggs. Wait long enough and you will find vegetarians who say they also eat beef.

I really don't think I can put off my personal geneology research any longer. Being such a mongrel as I am, I'm sure I'm a member of some group that has been offended by some corporation at some point in time. Let the gravy train lawsuits begin.
