The mural's already been replaced with a giant Heineken ad. One rumour has it that some kind of upscale restaurant is opening in the Bamboo's place, but another says that the BamBoo will be torn down and some kind of office tower or condo will be built over it and the adjacent parking lot.

Is that ever weird, I was just about to search for the Bamboo's Pad Thai recipe for dinner tonight. The best Pad Thai I've ever had, ever, anywhere.
They had a Bamboo cookbook and published the recipe but the last time I was in TO Balfour Books was out of stock. If anyone has the recipe, would you mind posting it?

Just found out that Aristotelis, the barbershop next to the BamBoo (a family-owned business that's had its location since the 1930s) is also getting evicted (as is the sunglesses store next door).
This is, unquestionably, the best barbershop in the universe. They'll be moving to the southwest corner of Richmond and Spadina.
The Queen West strip will never be the same.

When I visited the BamBoo in the early 90s, there was a reggae band playing called "The Satellites". I am wondering how I still can buy a CD. Any idea, my frds?!?
