May be slighlty off topic (at least off the headline) but Mozilla simply rocks. i have been running it for a month or so. Super fast, no pop-up ads, clean and simple interface. Death to Explorer!

Actually people have jumped the gun on this one. Various sites are now reporting that there is no deal between Apple and Sun for StarOffice but that Sun is working on a OSX port of OpenOffice.

BTW, my favorite new Mozilla trick is to bookmark a group of tabs. Create a window of all your favorite blogs (for example) in their own tabs, and then hit command-shift-D. Select 'bookmark this group of tabs' and voila, one click on a bookmark gives you instant access to ALL your favorite pages. Spiffy. Now if I could only figure out how to make this bookmark open on launch.

People, there is no spoon.

At the moment Sun have nothing to do with the OSX port (although they contributed the initial code for it whilst they were still hoping to release StarOffice for OSX). It's an entirely community run open source effort at the moment.

Has it occurred to anyone that Sun is a Microsoft in sheep's clothing? They've tried to do the computing world what Microsoft has tried to do, except that Sun sucks at it. So we reward failure by getting all exuberant because it's rumored that they're going to port a package to a favored platform?

The idea of Sun porting any Java powered app to OSX does not thrill me in the least.
