I knew it was a "joke" right away, 'cause there was no mention of selling pelts.

Follow the link, guys -- this is a joke site; i.e., these aren't facts, they're "facts."

Other examples:

FACT: Canadians are more likely than any other nationality to spit in public, especially on the windshields of other people's cars.
(Source: New York Times - June 15th, 1998)

FACT: If you try to order a quarter-pounder in a Canadian McDonald's, you won't get a quarter-pound hamburger. You see, Canadians use the metric system for units of measurement. If you ask a Canadian for a "quarter-pounder," he will kick you in the knee and take your wallet and any jewelry you are wearing.

This is also true in interior Alaska. You can actually sign up on a list that allows you to claim the next moose, bear or reindeer that collides with a moving vehicle. An easy way to hunt. You just have to be willing to plow your 4-wheel drive out to gods-knows-wheres to pick up the body.

The only people I ever knew to eat roadkill were my sister and brother-in-law. He was from Finland. She (like me) is from New Jersey. They were married, lived, and got divorced in Maine. Which is nearly Canada. QED!

She later said that she only married him for the lifestyle.

It's got to be easterners. No one I know ever ate roadkill in BC, and I grew up in the middle of nowhere.
