I loved Terry Bisson's _Smart Meat_ short in _Bears Discover Fire_. Good company!

Great blurb: "as funny as humanity's efforts to improve itself"!

Great blurbs, and I love that cover. Whoever did that artwork at 4W8W deserves a pay raise. I'm really looking forward to this. Do you have a TOC list yet?

You've chosen some of my all-time favorite stories. Mothaship is a great favorite but I like them all. The guys who think the only thing you can write is geekspeak wonders are going to be amazed. Can't wait to get it.

Will this one be free as well? ;-)

Kidding. I will buy this along with all your other work plus the new Kelly Clarkson CD as soon as I get some spare cash.

I'll be doing a Creative Commons release of 6 of the 9 stories.

I'm glad to hear that, Cory; that gives me an internal excuse to actually buy the book. Otherwise, I'm can't justify having it taking up space in my house, since i can just jam it onto a hard drive instead. At San Francisco land prices, each book one owns essentially has an associated monthly rental fee based on the space it takes up.

I note, lost admist the noise "Introduction by Bruce Sterling". This is, well, completey unsurpising. :)

I don't know what mojo you have, Cory, but you are batting 1.000 on covers.

Fabulous cover. Manages to be a grabber and subtle at the same time. Cory owes the designer a big sloppy kiss.
