All these liveblogging entries makes me think there's a new value-add that conferences could offer to both speakers and participants: rent out court stenographers to record the event live, and allow remote participants to view the event in real time for a small fee. Afterwards, allow for quick and simple greping through the transcripts (say, a week afterwards). That would give the speakers the ability to store and save off their talks, and people that couldn't make the event in person get an idea of what they missed.

(Oh, my god - did I just used the phrase "value-add" in a non-sarcastic way?)
