Mac people are willing to pay for something that works better. That's why they bought a Mac in the first place.
In any case, the cool thing about Konfabulator is not that it comes with cool widgets. It's that you can change the widgets, make your own, and use the ones others have made. On "classic" Mac OS, there was an indispensible utility called OneClick that let you create floating palettes, then write scripts triggered by buttons on those palettes. Unless you've seen it, you wouldn't believe just how sophisticated some of the utilities people made with OneClick turned out to be.
Konfabulator (plus AppleScript and GUI Scripting) is pretty damn near the same thing for Mac OS X.
Oh yeah. I paid $80 for OneClick. It was worth every penny.
