If it's a hoax, then how do you explain statistics that prove that genuflectors are consistently the highest scorers in the NFL?

Subtle indeed. It may be a parody, but there's nothing there that I would put past an earnest creationist. As far as I'm concerned, the jury is out. A whois on the domain (which is excellent, and might be evidence of a prank--jesussave.us) is unenlightening.

Come on. "My uncle is a man named Steve, not a monkey" alone should be enough to make it pretty obviously a hoax...

The folks at the Talk Origins newsgroup talked about this last year and came to the conclusion (they had their reasons, and it sounded convincing) that it's a subtle parody. Subtle, that is, because the real stuff it parodies is not far from it in style and substance.

You gotta admit that Pokemon business does cause problems for evolution that modern biologists are just beginning to come to grips with. I read about it in Modern Biologist.

It's not a joke, which is sad on many levels. Ken at MoreDork was pulling your leg. Take a closer look, these folks are serious...

I'm still not convinced. His only evidence that it's fake is that "Diamond Jack" isn't as recognized as he should be. That only means he's a clown. Every time you pick up a book on creationism, it claims to be written by a PhD Biochemist. Doesn't mean he knows what he's talking about. Just because these guys beleive his story doesn't mean he isn't sincere. Just that he (and they) are idiots.
If the whole site is a fake, it's incredibly thorough. It has links to lots of legtimate fundamentalist sites. I need a better argument than that Jack's a fool to start thinking it's a hoax.

yes it is a joke, but there are real creation science fairs. But there is also this: http://www.creation.on.ca/cdp/events.htmland this http://www.tccsa.freeservers.com/adventure/fair_info.htmlHome School Science Fair Guidelines February 15 & 16, 2003 Har Mar Mall Home School Creation Science Fair The purpose of the Twin Cities area Home School Creation Science Fair is to provide an opportunity for students to display their creativity, work and scientific process skills acquired in their studies. It is an event to spark the interest of all students about the different areas of study that they can pursue in the future. The fair will reinforce the compatibility of real scientific thought and the truth of the Bible. General Guidelines 1. This fair is open to all Home School students in the greater Twin Cities area. 2. Each student may enter only one project. 3. There will be only individual projects, and team projects will not be allowed. 4. Each exhibit should include a Scripture reference. Some ideas are not specifically mentioned in the Bible, but there are verses that develop principles that can be related to your project. The intent is to relate all areas of science to the Creator of the universe. 5. Students must be with their projects during judging and initial public viewing. 6. The Science Fair Board retains the right to reject any unsafe or inappropriate project. and this http://www.alcs.pvt.k12.wi.us/about2.htmElementary - The Elementary School Program (grades K through 5) includes course work in Bible, language arts (using a traditional phonics reading approach), history and social studies, mathematics, science (taught from a perspective of discovering God=s creation), science fair (held every other year), health, computer, physical education, art, library and music. Beginning in 5th grade, students may participate in band and various sports. Currently, our 5th graders compete in basketball in the Madison Area Independent Sports League (MAISL).

It's a joke. This guy stumbled on it first: http://www.hencethename.com/ken/2002_04_21_old.html [ 4/26/2002 08:10:40 PM ] Hmm.. I may have been duped. It has come to my attention that the OBJECTIVE: Christian Ministries website (The host of the article mentioned in my last post) may be a complete and total fabrication. Which is rad. So, the site is a fake site meant to combat the fake Landover Baptist Ministries, and then, by extrapolation, this site http://www.geocities.com/hands_off_lb/ is fake too. You know, the more I look into this, the more I realize how much I've been had! Billy Graham? No way can anyone be that crazy. And I really got to hand it to Fred Phelps for taking us all in with that whole Westboro Baptist http://www.godhatesfags.com/Manifesto of Westboro Baptist Church We are a TULIP Baptist Church! We believe -- and vigorously preach -- the 5 Points of Calvinism! Anyone preaching otherwise is a Hell-bound false prophet, a messenger of Satan, to whom we say, Anathema Maranatha! and, Let him be accursed of God! church gag. That's some funny shit, and to think I thought it was real! That whole bible thing? Yeah right! Like anyone seriously believes that the world was created in seven days. Pffft! How gullible I've been! To think that all this time I've been convinced that there was this whole group of people who believed that every word in this "bible" was completely true. What a fool I've been! Liz says, some people have waaaayyyyy too much time on their hands. But go check out "Diamond" Jack Holgroth, Game Theoretician (part of the site) cool photo.
