Thinking about going to the next dorkbot-sf on June 4th, as they're doing a presentation on the Hiptop. Looking forward anxiously to July, when I get out from under the thumb of my existing mobile phone contract!

I've been trying to get my Tmobile plan "upgraded" for days... the Hiptop ("sidekick", wut-ever) has disappeared from their website, and the sales reps on the phone have no idea what I'm talking about.

$30/mo data-only sounds good, especially for some Deaf friends I know who like the Dangers and don't need voice service. But selling the unit without rebates is stupid. $350??? You can get a Danger for T-Mobile for $150.
