Speed up OS X's Mail.app by rebuilding Address Book

 I do not have the stated file in the stated location in 10.2.8, but using 'locate' I did find the following and deleted them.

~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/ABPerson.index
~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/ABPerson.skIndex

 I tried the second option and it's definitely speeded up. Is the first option worth doing if I've already done the second? It doesn't seem so.

 Hey all, I'm currently using entourage but have been toying with the idea of switching over to Mail. I'll need to synch with a palm (that will also synch with a windows machine at work.) This is something I'm not currently doing and I've heard it is difficult to make it work correctly with entourage. Anyone want to give some friendly advice or helpful considerations?
