This episode is one of my favorite ones and includes a Homorism that I use often: Ahhhhhhh, shriiiiiimp [excessive drooling]. I just love those all-u-can-eat shrimp bars!

Sorry, Steve. For those missing scenes you'll have to buy the GOLD Edition full-season DVDs. :-)

Even more tantalizing/frustrating - they produce the episodes to run long so they can do final tweaking close to the air date. There was some hope that the DVDs would include those full(er) episodes, but so far they haven't.

You may have seen the occasional Fox promo for an upcoming episode where the scene in the ad does not appear in the episode itself. That's why.

The fact that the DVDs don't include this extra stuff may be an artifact of the archiving or production methods of the earliest seasons - maybe by season 4 or 5 they will be including this stuff.

They trim [all?] of the syndicated episodes for time so that they can show more ads :(.

Are the DVD episodes absolutely intact and uncut?

I've noticed that stuff if cut from the syndicated shows. e.g., Groundskeeper Willie telling his tractor that he'd marry it if it weren't against the laws of nature. Or some of Homer's hallucinations just after he eats the Guatamalan Insanity Peppers.

Wow, it's catching, Cory.

If you've ever read alt.tv.simpsons, you wouldn't feel quite so geeky.

Is this the end of Zombie Shakespeare?
