Yes, it's eccentric and emphasizes new connections rather than the old ones that seemed too obvious to mention. Some things had to be farther aprat from each other than they might be in terms of social connections, but that was in order to fit in some areas and themes that I think some people are not so aware of.

BUT, I'm delighted by the comments and will try to incorporate many of them. One solution is to create some more little logos to append to the fetishes -- for bondage, power exchange, etc.. These are such huge topics that they pretty much overlap every single one of the fetish groups. Rather than try to put them all on top of yet another color field, I could add little handcuffs or something to all of the ones that involve some sort of bondage.

A few of Eli's other comments will be incorporated into the next generation of the map. And the voyeurism thing too. Though that again might be another logo, as so many of the fetishes involve that as well.

Oh, yes. And I forgot to say that the map does not include any acts involving sexual intercourse per se (mile-high club etc.) That's sex, not fetishism. If I wanted to include all of the places and ways that people fuck I wouldn't call it a fetish roadmap. Sure the line is blurred with some of these topics, but that's the nature of the beast.

Very few of the things on there are new to me, but it seems
also that a lot is left out and important connections are
not made, while some odd connections are made, and some
things are misemphasized.

Consider: leather, rubber wear, latex, spandex (general tight
and/or wet look cloths) form a continuum, but they are
not grouped that way here. Lycra is oddly put near object
transformation. There is an overlap of the leather/rubber
end of that spectrum with bondage, and an overlap of bondage
with S&M. But bondage isn't here, just S&M. And medical
proceedures seem way to far from S&M. Transgenderization
(particularly feminization) is left out, it should be near
age play, and overlap a lot with embarassment (I would call
it humiliation) and a little bit with S&M and medical
proceedures. Bukake should be in humiliation. Giantesses
and Amazon women should be here, near feet, trampling, and
growth; unless that is what they are calling 'macrophiles'.
Body modifications are a bit scant, where are tattoos for
example? Sleeping women and drunk women are probably bigger
than this makes them out to be, and should have a connection
to dirty/clean embarassment (pants wetting). Public nudity
can have an embarassment aspect, but can also be bold,
daring exhibitionism which should have a link to voyuerism.

And I have to wonder where she gets her information concerning
gender and orientation preferences being associated with
some of these things.

More things: mile high club; sex on boats or trains; underwater
sex; public sex; group sex; swinging; teachers; why is Lolitas
in hurt/comfort? I really could go on and on.
