Fred: "...it's unwise to have maps with the United States on them..."

I remember a cold-war/detente era urban legend to the effect that Soviet road maps were unreliable, because they contained intentional errors to disorient potential invaders.

I came here intending to post that I wondered how long it would be until somebody said what I see Soliloquy said first.

You could make the same argument, Soliloquy, that it's unwise to have maps with the United States on them, since that's information we also don't want in enemy hands.

Whoa, that is way cool. I did one search after another. Couldn't stop myself! Here are some I tried:<br>

  • Minimum year 2002 (see what's coming up)

  • Maximum year 1800 (old buildings)

  • Chicago (nostalgic)

  • Las Vegas (they're actually pretty small hotels!)

  • Destroyed (includes you-know-what)

Is it wise to give The Bad Guys a database full of good targets? Or should we be betting on them?
