Here's a blooper in the CNN report: it mentions that the plate also shows "the nucleus-and-atom logo for atomic energy". Say what?

I so want one of these. The Nevada DMV does sell sample plates, but they don't list the nuclear one yet. The website for ordering details is at http://nevadadmv.state.nv.us/platessample.htm

CNN has a close up of the plate here: http://www.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/04/26/...lates.ap/index.html. I wonder if anyone has snagged "KABOOM" or "STRNGLV" yet?

Almost perfect. The only thing that could improve that plate would be the words "live free or die."

I did my best to upres that image and clean it up a bit, but it was mad blurry to begin with. So, here it is at 275 pixels wide.

Here's the best image I could find - not much out there yet http://www.rgj.com/news/files/2002/04/24/8613.jpg.php

It's 350 pixels wide - but it could be cropped. Is that acceptable? Do I get a modicum of gratitude? :)

Sure hope it's something tasteful, say, in the low kiloton range.
