Given "skin's particularly potent ability to stimulate the immune system if grafted from one person to another", I wonder if it's worth it. I can understand going on a major regimen of immunosuppresant drugs in exchange for getting a new heart, but I'm not sure I'd make that tradeoff just to avoid a "mask-like" appearance. Though I think there was a doctor somewhere who claimed that the immunosuppresants were prolonging the rejection response in heart transplants, and that not prescribing them unless they were really needed worked better.

Anyway, I hope I never have to make the choice!
