Growing up in Texas, it was common in my old neighborhood to berate intellectuals and nerdy academic types by claiming that they were too smart to tie their own shoes. I think this article puts that to myth to rest quite nicely, thankyaverymuch! (take that you damn rednecks, Reversing the orientation of the first half-knot!)
