I completely hear you!!! I live in Toronto. I love this city, but it sickens me that more isn't being done for the homeless. But, you have to remember, we have a mayor who apparently believes that there are no homeless in his city, amongst his other very public snafu's. Don't get me started!!!

Apparently the World Youth Day festivites raised a lot less than they expected it would. The organizers had to go looking to the various dicocese across Canada for the reported 2.5million dollar shortfall.

Your "favourite city"? Leaving that aside, I'll suggest this latest action by media hogs OCAP will do, uh, squat to actually help the homeless in Hogtown. Instead, check out this guy: http://www.jacklayton.ca/

M-J, I dunno why you think that supporting Jack and supporting OCAP are mutually exclusive. IIRC, I've seen Jack at more than a few OCAP rallies over the year (wasn't he a fixture at the Homes Not Domes rallies?)
