Yes, Marineland sat out on the edge of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, southwest of Downtown L.A. Went there a few times as a kid.

From the the website, it appears that Marineland is in Los Angeles. Oracle now sits where Marine World Africa USA used to be. The park moved in the late 80's to Vallejo, and is now called Six Flags Marine World.

I worked at Oracle from 1997 - 2000. The road past the campus is still called Marine World Parkway.

It was indeed strange to imagine the pond up front full of cavorting dolphins and such.

I remember going to that Marineland for field trips. I haven't lived in Sunnyvale since 1977. A trip back in 1996 was very, very freaky.
