Some modern mobile phones can handle video already. Mine can play mpeg/divx/wmv. Why carry another device for this?

I often gaze at my iPod's monochrome screen and wish that it was a color LCD display, and that the iPod could play video files.
That would be cool.

This has got to be vapourware -- even if it was for real, pushing an electronics product from design to production to market takes longer than 6 months. The company, Handheld, was formed in February 2003, according to their site. To be in time for Christmas, they need to have their products in the channel by September at the latest. Even then, most of the christmas retail shelf space has been planned and promised since spring.
As a friend of mine said the other day ... this is as likely as the Olympics bringing the two Korea's together.

Weird that they aren't saying what the "external media" will be. Won't memory cards cost more than the device itself?
