milovoo - try http://www.mini-itx.com/

these things are great for household servers, media servers, etc. The Martian Netdrive is Mini-ITX based; they only drag is that most mini-ITX is not available in the US yet (like the Hush) and todays sinking dollar makes these things expensive to order from the UK.

Well, in truth the best way to have lots of CPUs is a blade server. This is a single chassis with 1 power supply and 1 ethernet cord etc.. with lots of cards each of which has 1 or 2 CPUs so you can get very high density with very low cable management and space. If you've ever managed a lot of servers you will know cable management is %50 or more of the effort and although mini-pcs are nice they still have lots of cables to manage. Most of the big supercomputer beowulf-type setups are using blade servers now. However they do cost a lot of money. So if your a home user looking to build a 20 CPU SETI farm the mini-pc might be a viable choice. Still.. shudder to think of manageing that many physical boxen a real pain.

Anyone have any good links to these kind of machines,
I'm picturing the Shuttle PC, but are there ones smaller
than that, and as well-designed?
