/m3 isn't this just preaching to the choir? It's hardly likely to influence entrenched Bush fans, or to sway any one in the middle - after all, who is likely to buy, or even read when given as a present, a book full of one-sided sarcastic opinions? (A truly fair & balanced, unbiased account wouldn't have quite the comedic effect..)
Perhaps a book like this will inspire or embolden other professionals (no, not newspeople, but stand up comics etc.) to take a tougher look at the administration, but that's about that.
Countering lies? People belief in lies because they want to (whether they be right-wing or left-wing lies, neither are exactly short in supply *cough*).
Believing lies is usually better than the alternative; because the alternative might be unpatriotic thoughts (killing bad. US bad?! Oh my.) or even worse, questions that lead to even more questions.. It's always easier to pick an ideology, a leader (well OK, picking a leader is a bit hard if you're a democrat.. ) and sticking to whatever they think "because I'm sure they know best"..
The political impact of this book is hardly likely to be of an historic nature.. But if the choir gets a few chuckles from it..
