aha: very nicely done.
Of course that is an obvious problem. Don't forget elongation
and compression due to changes in movement speed -- the bane of
the old hand-pulled scanners. I'm sure the idea is to track
movement and speed and compensate in software. Though there
is obviously nothing much that can be done if one delibrately
leaves out areas, and picking the device up off the page will
probably cause problems.
To it is not so much that the thing could be used wrongly,
but that it can be used at all.

I think this could be extremely cool. I particularly like the
idea of printing on non-standard items. Print 'Ex Libris' tags
directly into my books; print my personal contact info on the
back of my business card when needed; print tags directly on
wrapping paper; make those plain post office postcards more
interesting.

I immediately thought of the possible applications of this for graffiti. It would be a lot like the quick tagging in the video game Jet Grind Radio, but in real life. People could design really elaborate digital "tags," and quickly apply them to "any surface." I am not advocating vandalism, but it seems inevitable that a technology like this would be used that way.
