King County in Washington does the same sort of reporting, but it appears to me to be more detailed. For example:

I've wanted this for a long while, but not for restraunts, but for takeaways. Imaging a yellow pages style thing with food ratings and hygeine listings.

Basil: Terry, the kitchen is filthy.
Terry: Filthy Towers, eh?
Basil: Now, look!
Terry: Look, all kitchens are filthy, Mr. Fawlty. In fact the better the kitchen the filthier it is. Have you ever read George Orwell's experiences at Maxim's in Paris?
Basil: No. Do you have a copy? I'll read it out in court!

Could be lack of a hairnet or because she was wearing nail polish. I was written up for both back in my college waitressing days. The nail polish thing is because the polish could flake off into the food as you're serving it. Supposedly.

"Personal Hygiene-minor" probably means something like "bathroom was out of soap or paper towels."

I wrote a scraper for that site a year ago or so. I wanted to map the city by hygiene level in order seek out the best locales for our dive-bar group. Another half-finished project....
