I've never brought that many CDs as it is. If downloading music ever did anything to me to harm or help the music industry, it'd help. Before I started D/Ling I might've brought 3 CDs a year. Now that I can download one or two tracks to see how the band is before I buy a CD I buy more like 5-10 a year. I couldn't get to the article... but I do think that if anything d/ling music would help sales.

When are they going to learn/admit this? My music purchases went through the roof once I was able to preview tracks online. No way am I gonna pay $15 to $18 for an album by a band I've never heard, and how else would I get exposed to eclectic acts than through MP3s? (Not like I spend that much anyway, since I start my searches at gemm.com, heh.)
