It would be fun to get a bunch of friends to go to this event dressed as Amish, or Kalahari Bushmen.

I remember my physics prof. defining a change in velocity as acceleration, and a change in acceleration as "jerk". What's next? Snap?

I prefer jounce, though snap (then crackle, and then pop) have been suggested as the fourth, fifth, and sixth derivatives of position with respect to time. A neat review is here: http://www.phys.ncku.edu.tw/mirrors/physicsfaq/General/jerk.html

Good review, roni. So what are the corresponding derivatives of information? The commonly accepted first derivative is overload, I suppose.
It's extremely subjective, with a wide range of individual tolerance.
Then there's informational depth, as opposed to detail. How do you compare the air traffic controller with the Zen Master who's overloaded by one good haiku?
