Cool site, one nit:
How come the first photo under "Manufacturing, Light" claims it's from 1918, but the picture has flourescent light fixtures in it? Maybe the workers pictured _started_ working in 1918?
The caption says:
Gilbert & Bennett Mfg. Co One hundred years of progress 1818-1918 1918 self-published/ Georgetown CN pg. 83 The 2 employees with the longest continous service at the Blue Island mill are James Jones at the left and Frank Kedrowski at right both with 48 years of service.

Hmmm. Is that out of place? I find one website that tells me that fluorescent lighting was invented in the 1870s, but another tells me they were not marketed until the late 1930s. Unfortunately this sort of historical research the web is not so good at.

Well, the clothing also looked more 1960's than 1918. If they started working in 1918, and had 48 years of service when the photo was taken, that would make it 1966, which fits with the flourescent fixtures, the open collar shirts, etc.
