I don't need my filepile login, and they won't cancel it after repeated requests. What am I bid?

Jeez, there is no difference between the comments at FilePile and an AOL chatroom.

If FilePile wants my login they can have it with my blessings.

Calling it "AOL chatroom" is kind of cheap.
It's a good bit more clever than that.

Filepile is pretty clever, but most of the "messages" are really the pics and uploads. I like it, but end up wading through more [this is bad] than I care for.

I've ignored the first and second rule since membership closed. I figure it really doesn't matter. I talk about filepile all the time, but nobody really understands what I'm talking about.

MCranium, you mentioned your inability to cancel your account on filepile itself. Obviously you *do* use the account, or you wouldn't have even seen the auction at first. You know, the first step to recovery from filepile addiction is admitting you have a problem. The second is realizing it's not a problem.

Seriously though, why ask to have your account removed? Why not just stop using it? I'm positive that's why Andre hasn't granted your repeated requests. Why bother?

I like filepile, although some of the regulars get upset when you vote [this is bad], as if it mattered.

I'm offering my filepile UID to anyone who wants it for $500, which I'll turn around and give to Andre, the owner of filepile, so he can upgrade his machine to alleviate the server timeouts. Anyone interested can email me here.

There are moments in the day when my work gets unbearably boring, and I turn to the pile. Unfortunately, I have to slog through too much noise to get the signal--and signal varies from person to person. For me, the 'noise' usually takes the form of something kind of gross, like people with large pieces of fruit lodged in uncomfortable places.

So, while browsing the pile on a machine I was preparing to image and send to over 70 other machines, I set a cookie.

Now there are 70 classroom machines with access to my old account. Is it too much to ask to hide the cigarettes of someone trying to quit?

Haha! That's hilarious. Your lab could become a new "rapeface" account. If anybody caught on, that is. I suspect most of those cookies will expire before anyone actually tries the pile.

BTW, johnnydark@hushmail.com says he will give away his account for free to the best plea by June 1.

Ah, Andre fixed it. Now no fears of getting fired for distributing pronography on campus.

You missed the bigger point to my post. I voluntarily gave up my FilePile account for someone else to have. That's not cheap. That is goddamned generous. I did not expect a thank you, a pat on the back, or an attaboy, but frankly I deserve one.
