What's the difference between this and looking up how to make bombs, or to shoplift, or to do other destructive things? As a matter of fact, when I was seriously suicidal, I was able to quickly find Geo Stone's web site via Google. Stone has written what's considered by psychological professionals and the thanatophiliac as the authoritative guide to suicide. His web site contains large excerpts from the book. I also found many "what can go wrong" pages, which balanced it out. Stone's book was on the shelf at my local Borders, alongside the suicide prevention books. What's the point of having Google exempt documents on suicide methodology or other stories which might "trigger" a sensitive person when the information is already out there in bookstores, movies, etc.? I believe your intentions are good, but you're looking in completely the wrong place to help. Edited 12-11-2002 03:16 AM
