BEFORE ANYONE CONSIDERS MOMSWIN, CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
For those who don’t have time: DON’T DO IT-That’s the short version. For those who have time and want the FULL SCOOP on how these scams operate, read on:

First of all, keep the following things in mind:
#1 Valid companies don’t have to use “testimonials”
#2 Testimonials are only stories, and there is NO proof that ANY of them are fact or fiction.
#3 Those “testimonials” on “momswin.com” could have been written, word for word, by Bill Gould, ex-owner, er-eh, and brain washer, of Equinox International. They, like melalucca momswin used underhanded means, like these EMPLOYMENT sites to fool people into buying their products. Momswin claims sound IDENTICAL, and I even wonder if this person is an ex-Equinox person. The “equinox” claims were that our environment is being destroyed – true – and that ONLY THEIR products were the best at protecting it – FALSE!! Besides, do a web search on Equinox and see where they are now, or read the last couple paragraphs of this if you want to skip ahead. The water filter they conned people into paying upwards of $80-120 “representative” cost (depending on the model) was valued at $20 PER FEDERAL TESTING! That is compared to OTHER ONES that Equinox claimed paled by comparison. The soap they sold for $5 a bar is plainly the EXACT SAME that is sold by a company out of Vermont (maybe even called the Vermont Soap company). A call to that company revealed they DID, in fact, produce the soap for Equinox, just packaged in a different box and with the addition of an extra sudsing agent. For that, “representatives” were conned into paying $5 “cost” for something they were supposed to mark up and sell to others. Keep in mind what constituted a “representative”. That was the person who was conned into signing on after coming to a so-called “interview” after answering a “help wanted ad”. The interview wasn’t. (That sentence WAS intentionally worded that way). People were herded into a group and shown movies of how we’re killing our environment; then how Bill Gould, oh King of the Wisest is trying to save the entire planet Earth and share his secrets to wealth at the same time with the few select people who choose to do exactly as HE SAYS. Exactly means spending the exact amount of money he, and his DOWNLINE say. That means $5K of purchases so you can supposedly get a profit on your eventual downline. Only, you don’t ever get a % because the person who conned you into it is actually getting all the so-called ‘bonuses’. There really aren’t “Bonuses” anyway—they’re just rebates on purchases. The good old American way, people: Spend $10 to save $1, but, hey, let’s add the Bill Gould, Equinox, Mellalluca, Rainbow, Momswin, and every other pyramid MLM scheme out there BS testimonial crap statements that you hear that are “going to make you a million”. I’ll pretend I’m one of ‘those’ people and tell you all you need to know to make a million using ANY of those companies that you can interchangeably insert into the blank, as follows:

Join __________, the best thing ever known to women (or man). THEN, once you join, you’ll find out the SECRET to success. BUT, I can’t tell you the secret until you meet with me in person. [Of course, that’s when I put on the charm, and give you the big BS below:]:

You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t need money, which means you haven’t been successful in the past. Obviously, your family didn’t teach you to succeed, and neither did those friends and others who supposedly love you. They’ve taught you how to be negative, and they’ll be the first to tell you how you’ll lose out if you do this, and you’re crazy. You’ve never been positive before now, and it’s time you start trying. Get all those negative thoughts out of your head and listen to the following, because you are going to want to start thinking positive, making millions, and saving the world, all at the same time. Isn’t that great?! You can do ALL of that at the same time!

Let me show you how bad our environment is with this movie, and these articles, and this water test that show all the poison and crap in our water. NOW, look at what OUR water purifier can do—better than anyone else’s because I’ve invested so much money into it. [No mention that I also happen to own the research co, AND the co that manufactures the units, so I win all around!]

Now, if you want to buy one of the water purifiers as a retail customer, it’s $180. BUT, if you’re a representative, it only costs $125, and the person who invited you here today can explain how that can happen. [Truth: The person who lied and pretended they were placing a “help wanted ad” – like the person did on this site who placed the ad for momswin.com when you were really reading a scam to get you into an mlm like melalucca – will con you into paying $5K for products by saying you’ll make bonuses, get products at cost, and that you have to try the products before you’ll be able to convince others that they are good products]

Try this…try that. Isn’t that nice? [They’ll pass a few products around the room to entice you. Once you’ve been conned into spending $5K, they’ll even convince you to open every single one to try them so you won’t be able to return any of them due to a ‘no refund on opened product policy’]

Oh, you’re totally not interested at ALL, okay, well you can leave. [They pretend to let some people leave. They’re really people from other offices, and 1 or 2 people who don’t speak English well. They’re actually kind of prejudice in one way, and prey upon most other minorities in another. Anyone unfortunate enough to speak English well or have a large family in the US that they can sell to is susceptible, and they make sure to find that out RIGHT AWAY.]

Can I ask you something? [He starts with the questions. He doesn’t tell you until later that this is his famed tactic. You’ll later be trained to always answer questions with questions. If you try to turn them down, they barrage you with the million “why’s” like an annoying little 2-year old. Don’t forget this, either: If you initially say no and you have a job, they’ll get you fired by calling you at work nonstop like the one did with me, and then you need to do something because you have no way at all to make money]

We have offices all over the country [Then why weren’t they listed as “Equinox” in the phone book? Or “Mellalluca”? and on and on. Answer: because the company escapes all liability and puts it on their unfortunate representatives. In the Equinox case, the offices have clever misguiding names like, “The Infinity Group” and “Capital Funding” and “Paradigm something-or-other”. They’ll talk you into renting a desk in their office to add to the brainwashing if they can, where they’ll get you to pay for part of their phone and office expenses if you fall for it. I didn’t, and saved my soul because I still had an outside live where they couldn’t always control me and add that additional brainwashing. THAT is how I kept coming back to the truth I had sensed from DAY#1—that I had been taken for a ride!]

We have a proven training program for success. If you want those yachts, mansions, leer jets and cars like I showed in the movie you saw than you HAVE to stick to the program! [Notice they did NOT say it was a FREE training PROGRAM. As one relative after another asks, “WHY should YOU PAY for training TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS?!!”, you angrily respond in perfectly brainwashed fashion, “because I have to learn from those who have succeeded if I want to succeed”. Of course, you are told to go to training after training, where they tell you the exact same things repeatedly, and most are the same things you heard for free the first time you ever heard about the company: that you need to think positively and get those negative influences out of your life and SELL, SELL, SELL to other REPRESENTATIVES (i.e., $5K orders – NOT to END USERS!) King Tut is commanding you to keep building the base of his pyramid and you, his slaves, follow the leader….and give him all your riches to do so. You are repeatedly told the same thing over and over about getting those negative people out of your life, and how the people in this room are your family now….You PAY DEARLY!! You may not realize how bad things are until you are bankrupt, or you lose your friends and family and wonder why nobody answers when you call, or nobody returns your calls. It seems like everyone is avoiding you. THEY ARE! They want YOU back, but don’t want to deal with that SALES BRAINWASHER who has been told to give up every phone # in the history of his/her life to try to con into joining along ‘to help them’.]

“Don’t forget the way you get bigger bonuses: Just get 10 of your friends (and you get beyond the first level and get x% more), and when they get 10 of their friends you get x% more and get THIS much $ !!! Then they get 10 of their friends and you get x% more and you’re making well into 6 figures a year and you’ll never have to work again. I can’t ever work in an office again because I’ve been doing this for so long.” “Sound like a pyramid? Oh no: The Federal Government is a pyramid…The Catholic Church is a pyramid. Besides, some of the most successful companies EVER were MLM’s. Just look at Amway – one of the most successful co’s in the history of the country. Only ___________ is trying to sell products that are HEALTHY AND make you rich. If those that love you don’t want to help you become rich, and don’t want to be healthy and help you become healthy, than they must not really love you, and you may as well just get all those negative influences out of your life. They just don’t want you to be rich. They don’t want you to be happy. You need to get them out of your life if they don’t want to help you. They’ve been the thing that’s held you back all these years……”

THAT is the exact, almost word-for-word, line of reasoning that Equinox used to become a $200million/year SCAM, that made it to #1 on Inc-500 magazines upcoming companies one year in the late 90’s (1997?). THEY FOOLED INC MAGAZINE!! THE PROBLEM: The sales were NOT to end-users. Translation in case that is too hard to comprehend: They were NOT about selling products for people to use. They were about selling huge orders to sales reps, who sold huge orders to more sales reps, who sold more huge orders to more sales reps……all under the impression that they were going to ‘make it rich’. At least one person killed himself or herself over the Equinox effect on his/her life. Many divorces resulted and families disintegrated, as did friendships. Money and CULT BRAINWASHING have a way of doing that to people.

Good news: In 1998, after several years of my own unrelenting letters to several States Attorneys Generals and the Federal Trade Commission, and others as well, the agencies ‘got it’ and ‘got them’. Though Bill Gould, Equinox Owner told his followers he’d win all the way until trial time, which was expected to go on for many months, he suddenly agreed to forfeit all assets but $50K after only 2 ½ weeks of Government testimony – or, should I restate, the testimony of me and 399 others who had the guts to come forward. He went from being a $200mil ‘superpower’ that made it by scamming people and ruining their lives, to someone who was forced to turn over virtually everything he owned – well, except for the $ he has hidden somewhere. Hopefully the Feds find that someday. Many of us had long since given up on that money, and had gone bankrupt because of that crap, but didn’t want that bastard ruining a single other person’s life, and testified for that simple reason. We were successful since he was banned from EVER operating a business in this country again.

Search any names you’re even THINKING of spending money on at RIP OFF REPORTS.com; BBB at www.bbb.org, and check the Federal Trade Commission for complaints as well as your Consumer agencies and any consumer agencies in the state where such companies are located as well as States Attorneys Generals’ offices. Believe me, if there are complaints, you’ll find them and save yourself.

For security reasons, as my family always feared for my life, I’ll have to sign this one as “Anonymous on the East Coast”.

I have just moved to our 5th generation ranch at the request of my Father and Uncle. Because it is so far into any community the travel daily is time consuming, expensive, dangerous road travel, and taxes our natural environment by way of pollution. I would like to find out how to find companies in the Kansas area, specifically but not limited to Wichita, that participate in telecommuting.

Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Vickie

Have a house that is a Telecommuter's Dream - A real retreat with access to services, airports and great neighbors. Didn't know if this community might be able to point me to places where consultants/road warriors/telecommuters might hang and be looking for this kind of option. Here's a little bit more. I appreciate your feedback.

Tired of city living? Thinking about moving to the peace and quiet of the country? 4BR, 3BA brick home with view of the mountains near Charlottesville, VA. Easy access to airports and services. House is wired, has hot tub, garage and workshop, fabulous gardens and great, efficient space. Wired. Look at http://www.montaguemiller.com/php-bin/sear...hp?type=home&id=795 or call Barbara Potter at 540-832-3368 (barbpotter@aol.com) .

I am with bob. I love the idea of not wasting time commuting into an office, but it is just not personal and covered with bad motivation. Green is not for the enviroment. Green is for greed.

I am complete not impressed by the motivation behind this program. We are not protecting the enviroment by refraining from commuting.

Global warming is a myth that resently has been provent to be caused by the sun's temperature increasing and not air polution.

But, I am all for lazy working enviroments, so I will jump on this banwagon.

Kenneth Nutt: Talk to your HOA folks. I'm on public assistance housing - I have the same phrase in my contract - however, it's intent is not that I can not work from home, but that I won't have public traffic at home. If you don't ask, the answer is no (quoting my dad - Francis). europrowlr@cox.net

Has anyone run into problems with Home Owners Associations not allowing them to use their homes for professional purposes?

My deed restrictions read "...and no lot shall be used for business or professional purposes of any kind, nor for any commercial or manufacuring purposes."

Is there anyone out there that can help me convince my HOA that this is an out of date resriction.

I am producing a documentary called: "Commuting into the Future: what are the options?" I have received a letter of intent (to broadcast) from New Jersey Network (PBS), I need to raise $150,000 to finish the production. The program seeks to get at the heart of why telework and telecommuting are not being embraced by more individuals and businesses in light of all of the benefits. Does anyone know of any grants for educational television programs that could raise awareness about telework? If you do, could you please email me at: mlschiavi@att.net

Hello.
I am working as a producer in multimedia, an specially interrested in environmental policy, and non pollution soultions in different forms of communications.
I find telecommuting as a good tool for business meetings and industrial meetings to save the environment.

I have started Renewable energy, a site for bort small business and also ressource center for knowledge about sutainable/renewable energy.

Your network in NEPI is extremely important.
Specially with the energy policy of Bush administartion, it is very interresting to se how the environmental democratizing project moves on.

Please keep me informed in developing of eCommute, and if I can be a contact for you in Norway, please let me know.

Best regards Anders Loberg
