Yeah, I had a PB 5300 which I've had to send back to apple at least 5 different times. first it was the chintzy plastic casing, next it was a bad logic board, then the mouse clicker, and the logic board again . . . and so on. All this for a laptop that I paid a premium price for.
As much as I love the OS, my next 'puter won't be a mac, but a linux box.

Cory, I bought a new iBook today at Carbon, and when they asked if I wanted the extended warranty, I asked if they had read about your trial. They hadn't so, I said no. I hope my iBook lasts longer than yours.

You are just so right. Cory can do as he pleases. It's his site. I take it back. I now care about the laptop. Perhaps you could now decide to care about your pool game instead of meddling in areaa you don't belong!!!!

If more people publicize Apple's crappy service, maybe (maybe) they'll take steps to improve it. Beats cursing the darkness.

This is just a note to "don't care" below: You're a jerk! If you don't like the content of the site, why don't you read elsewhere? Cory puts this up out of the goodness of his heart with little financial incentive, it's interesting content, and frankly, if a blogger can't rant about what's on his mind, what's the point of the blog? Your kind should just read the stile project and grow old, forever engaged to be married while never setting a date!!!

Couldn't do the driveswap, but I spoke to Apple this morning, and they're shipping me a(nother) replacement, and throwing in a RAM upgrade for my trouble.
