Fedup-You are not looking at it from our prospective-We will probably never have full time.I have had 2 postmasters tell me this.RCA's will eventually get full time rural carrier posiition.ptf clerks will probably get full time clerk positions.But we will never because If those crafts get overburdened we will just push the ptf (carriers)out of the way and let them come down to our craft.I do feel sorry for the regular carriers because you don't care about their well being to send them miles from their home.and load the routes down with this mirap crap.What if one of them gets seriously hurt while traveling? Are any of the union reps going to attend the funeral and say we were justified in what we did?The mail volume has ALWAYS went up and down.These offices that only have 2 full time routes,what did they do when it went down? obviously there wasn't enough mail to give them 8 hours a day every day.Why were those routes even made in the first place?BUT...Thank you for responding to this.We learn alot from you.And I appreciate your comments on here and am hoping to learn what you and the other union Reps are thinking.
