Our local union was only 11 carriers and very little pull, but we always did a decent job. 4 years ago a few carriers decided to join a much larger local and trust that numbers are everything. We are 90 miles from this large office that we joined and several years later totally regret this move to join the big local.

My question here is, is there anything we can do as an office with little to no representation now with the big distant local union to get our own local back? We feel the only way out of this larger local that only cares about its own facilities members (hindsight is 20/20) is to drop out completely but we do not want to do this because we are firm believers in the national union. Any ideas how to go about getting our little local back and get out from under the distant monster local?
