I remember back in the mid/late 80's, my friend and I skipping school constantly to go follow the Pogues.  We ended up getting soimewhat friendly with Joey Cashman (their tour manager) and getting backstage at the Edinburgh Playhouse and the Glasgow Barrowlands!!!  At one concert in Glasgow, Shane even dedicated the song "Bottle of Smoke" to me!!  WOW!!  Yup, we met the boys several times backstage or outside the concerthalls (no, it's not as sordid as it sounds - we were about 16 or 17 at the time!!- all innocent - except for the Heineken given to us by Kirstie McCall!! (Fairytale of New York)   ssshhhh).
I remember Spider signing my jeans and getting a BIG snog from Shane outside the tour bus at the Edinburgh Playhouse - my friend was horrified as she was the biggest Shane fanatic in the planet at the time, ha ha!!!

I now live in the States and this site has brought back a lot of fond and fun memories for me!!
