(an email I received from Mac Jacoby)

To all citizens of Ranger, RHS and Ranger College alumni, all veterans, all class presidents, all classmates, and all that were from Ranger and now have gone. We come to you again for help in asking for your full support on one of the biggest events that will happen in our
town, and we need for you to be there for the event in August.

To all veterans , we have a lot of people coming from around Texas and Washington to honor you. Remember, this is your stone. Don’t pass up being part of a historical event that you and your loved ones will be proud of. Do it for them. As of right now, we have almost 200 veterans from Ranger that will be on the wall. This will be great reunion for
a lot of us. Donations are coming in slow but we will make it. We will send you an update on what will be going on that weekend. Network with all your classmates and tell them they need to meet in Ranger on August 4, 2007, Saturday at 11:00am.

We have bands, we have Generals, we have planes, we have food, we have politicians, we have music, we have military, we have people that want to honor you that day. Show up to see your name on the Sacred Stone.

Our Best Regards,
Commander Joel Jimenez joel-jimenez@sbcglobal.net
Commander Larry Monroe

Hello all been back from Afghanistan for 6 months or so, got Promoted to Inspector at RED River Army Depot and my wife bought me a Honda VTX 1300 cruiser Motorcycle on her birthday (yeah her birthday)Sometimes good little boys get things . My three boys are learning more than I want them to and the youngest is growing up quicker than the other two did. Got sideways on some redbull and vodka on the fourth. Stacy, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I can understand the heartache losing someone so special. I lost both my grandparents on my father's side within 13 months of each other.
Otherwise, we have other news from the Middleton house. We have a new addition as of June 5th. His name is Warren Robert Middleton. He weight 6 lbs 10 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He was born at 1:32 pm. Surprisingly, he has dishwater-blonde hair. He is a sweetie. I am sending pictures to Jennifer to post on the website.
Just wanted to let everyone know. It usually takes a while for me to update things to people, but since I am home and not busy at the moment, I thought I'd let everyone know.

My grandmother, Novilla Templeton, known as Memaw to most, passed Saturday, June 2nd at our farm on Caddo, and the funeral was held June 5th at New-Hope out on Caddo Hwy. My grandfather's side, the Rainey's were founders of that territory, check out Macedonia cementary. Shawna and Angela attended the service, many from my class supported me with phone calls and flowers, thanks Christina, Marlena, and Jennifer King, as she was your Memaw, too. The corn-plant Shawna sent on the behalf of the Class of 1991 is in my grandfather's room as this was the plant Memaw always placed in his room near a picture window, so it could not have been more fitting! I spoke at her funeral and it was the best gift I could have given from my heart, and Ronny Guess was so touched that he told me that I am a very special person, as many were moved as well. God granted 2 things she wished...more time with the family and a quick passing, while in her sleep. That's my comfort that she is in heaven, because of this grace sweet Jesus gave. I am sure she holds the reins to a white horse waiting for my grandfather to come for a ride. Oh, Jeb, your mother was an angel working with New-Hope Church preparing the beautiful luncheon enjoyed by the community, tell her thank you again for me. If I missed anyone in my note, please accept my apologies. Tony, I wished you were there, it was lonely without your comfort.

Quick Update...
1. Jennifer, I am so happy to hear about your son's miracle. God is an awesome GOD, he reigns from Heaven above and gives proof all over our website!
2. My grandmother, Memaw, Novilla Templeton is now on hospice (going on 2 months). I spend weekends in Ranger and may take the Family Leave Act to be there more. She is at home at Caddo.
3. My marriage to Bryan is no longer, as it was not the right choice for me as it would not allow me to rejoice in my second chance at life.
4. I am a Team Captain for March of Dimes this year. The walk is April 21st. I am so proud of my community service efforts over the past year. I want to GIVE as a symbol of my appreciation to the 25 year old girl that gave me life. I also led the Salvation Army efforts for the Ernst & Young, Dallas office.
5. This year I experienced a loss of my step-grandmother, Dorothy Henson, Granny Henson to most. She was a beautiful person who loved me as her own.
6. I did send a letter to the Transplant Agency to the parent's of the young girl, and I await their response. There was a 1-year grace period. If any of you would be interested in reading it, I can post it through Jennifer. Especially, upon any response received.

Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers! We heard the good news from Joshua's neurosurgeon- the fluid is gone (mostly)! This is such a miracle- even better than we had hoped for. He can now go a whole year until the next MRI/CT scan! Yea! No more poking and prodding! This is truly a blessing, and if you don't believe in miracles you gotta meet my little guy. It's amazing!

Thanks again for all the prayers- they do work!

Congrats to Stacy and Sheri! That's great news, but it makes me wish even more that we had a reunion last summer. We do need to get together some time. Jason and I are hoping to move back down closer to "home" in the next two years or so. We just feel so far away- I think we're closer to Donna than to most of y'all in Texas!

And thanks to Craig for all the great compliments. It is a hard job keeping track of everything and getting it all updated, which is why it doesn't happen very often! But, if I didn't enjoy it I wouldn't do it. I do feel it's important in keeping us together, and I enjoy staying in touch with everyone. Personally, it's great to hear all the wonderful things that happen in your lives, and I'm glad we can be there to support each other through the hard times. But, like Craig said, we wouldn't have a web site if y'all didn't give me stuff to put on it!

And I just thought I'd let you know that Joshua's condition hasn't changed much in the last 8 weeks. We're going for another full evaluation by the neurosurgeon in 8 more weeks, and we should know more by then. The last CT showed some blood mixed with the fluid, but there's not more pressure. And really, he's doing great- growing well, learning new words, counting, singing Christmas songs....... being a naughty 2 year old and tearing apart the house. Pretty normal stuff, so we're not too worried. But, please keep praying for him- he's not out of the woods yet. We appreciate all your prayers and support- it means a lot to know that you care, no matter how far away you are. Maybe some day you will all get to meet him if we ever have that reunion!

Please share you updates/news when you get a chance. Sometimes this is the only place I hear what's going on (Sheri)! ;o)

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Hey everyone, been a while since I posted here and wanted to take the opportunity to write to say hello. For a long time several years ago I tried my best to build the Class of '92 website. This was a project that George Bixler started, and then I took over. With little to no help from fellow classmates I made the decision to not work on it anymore. Not a good attitude to have towards it I suppose, but with no information, or help coming in, what kind of info am I supposed to put on it? The website IMO is pretty poor and needs a major facelift, but with no help in combination with no time, I dont see it happening.

I have read many of the messages on this message board, and did not know how behind I was on keeping up with my fellow classmates of '91.

Stacy, I am glad to hear you are doing well, and wish you and your family the best as you continue to recover.

Donna, I am sorry to hear of your brothers passing, and hope that you have gotten all of the loose ends that you mentioned wrapped up, and are getting along with your life now as best anyone could who has lost a loved one.

Shauna, thanks for all you do on your part for keeping your class informed of events, happenings, and your families interests and information.

Shane, I think it is really awesome that you are doing so well for yourself. Sounds as if you are living a fun life, and doing quite well at it. Pretty nice of you to invite your clasmates out to your house for a reunion. I am sure you guys will/did have a blast!

Sheri, congrats on your new marriage!

Tony, thanks for all that you do in the military, and helping people like me to continue to feel safer at home. Knowing there are volunteers in the military like you to defend us makes us all feel safer. Cant say enough thanks to our military men and women.

Special thanks to Jennifer, without her puting the time and efforts into building and mainting this website, the class of '91 would not be as close as you are today. It is a difficult task keeping a website from getting stale, and your continued efforts are appreciated.

To everybody else, I hope you are all doing well, and wish you the best in everything you do.

90's Reunion at Homecoming

That's the link to Homecoming info about the 90's reunion. I've been meaning to get that on the site sooner (along with everything else) but other things have taken top priority. If you can make it, please try to go. I've only heard great things about it, and I hope that they continue to host it. If you do go, please send me pictures and share your stories.

We took Joshua to see a neuropthamologist and his neurosurgeon last week. We got good news (no surgery YET), but with a "wait and see" approach. The fluid in the cyst in his brain is going away, and his eyes are OK (although still dilated). We are still having to monitor things very closely and will do another CT scan in six weeks. Please keep praying for our little guy. I know it's helping.

Thanks!!!

Hey, if I haven't gotten to your updates yet, please don't think that I have forgotten about you! We're having some trouble with Joshua- he's going to have to go back for more surgery. We're trying to get that scheduled now. Plus school started last week so things are pretty crazy right now. I promise to get to each person's updates. I appreciate you sending me info and keeping in touch! It was great to hear from you. Please keep Joshua in your prayers. Thanks!!!

Hello everyone! I am in the process of updating our web site. If you have any new info you'd like to add/change, please send it to me ASAP. I don't get many chances to work on the site anymore, so please take advantage of this time to let me know what's new with you.

I do appreciate those of you who use this message board to keep us posted on the lastest news and info. It helps me out a lot, and it seems to be a great way to keep in touch with everyone. If you haven't signed up to receive an email alert when someone posts a new message, you might want to. It's easier than remembering to check this site!

We are all so thankful that Stacy's recovery is going well. I promise to post the picture she sent so you can all see how great she looks. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

Again, let me know what's new with you! Thanks for keeping in touch!!!

Donna, on a personal note. I, too, had a version of Cardiomyophy. My heart was the size of a large grapefruit, small pumpkin. You and your brother have been heavy on my mind. Many misses by doctors, almost gave me grim-hope. I am lucky, because it is a silent killer. Please, if you are not a donor - ANYONE WHO READS THIS - become one. Save a family from grief -and- save a life (up to nine people) can be helped if you are a donor!

REUNION IDEA: Shane works at Winstar on the Tx/Ok State Line by Thackersville, past Denton on I35. Everyone should start looking at the CALENDAR of events, and pick a weekend with a good musical artist. My goal would be early August before school starts for the kiddos. I am heading to Corpus Christi/Port Aransas from June 27th until July 6th, staying with Miss Christina Betancourt. Dalton and I have made this a tradition (three years and running!) I have a plastic surgery on the books for July 10th to try to mend some of the scars from my heart surgery. I work-out 2-3 times a week, running 2 miles each time. The song by Nickelback, Photograph....makes me think of highschool and all the photos I took of everyone over the years. I sent a photo for Jen to upload (post transplant)....God is an awesome GOD!

Hello to All, Just thought I'd stop by and say Hello. Things have been hectic here in Colorado as I have been back and forth to California and Vegas to handle my brother Steven's affairs. He passed away in Feb for those of you that don't know. This has been so very traumatic and I wonder when I'll come out of this cloud. Thanks to all of you that have been in touch with your words of encouragement and prayers. An update on the family: Maggi and DJ are great! They are on summer break. Maggi will be going into the 6th grade in the fall...She's skipping 5th!!! DJ is going into 1st grade, and turns 6 next week. We're having his birthday tomorrow, "Firefighters and Flags"! They are so amazing and I am so blessed! Donny is good, he's working too hard as usual and taking good care of us all. I look forward to the day when you can all meet my family. As for me, I'm at a crossroads at work. I have been offered a promotion to Regional Business Manager for 6 Physical Therapy clinics, which seems pretty cut and dry, but I want to spend more time with my kids, and with the promotion, that won't happen. So I'm debating between just staying at my clinic, moving to the country and living a more simple life or taking the promotion. Any feedback???

Well, that's what's up here in Colorado. I hope you are all well and happy. Keep in touch!

Shawna,
Sounds great. We come through that way every few weeks on our way to see my mom and stepdad in Venus. We will be through there the weekend of the 30th to watch the Rangers play the Astros. My husband has a cousin that lives there also. Maybe when we come through one time, we can stop and see you as well as his cousin.

sounds great to me. Just let me know when and where. With things being so hectic here, I will need at least 2 weeks notice if not more as to where we plan on having the reunion so that I can make plans.
Kimble was activated in March 05 to go to Iraq. However, before his group was sent over, he broke his ankle and didn't go. Since then he has let them know about the sinus problems he has been having since Desert Storm, and they have determined it to be Sleep Apnea. However, he is "fit for duty" and is scheduled to return home sometime between now and the end of May. That's why everything is hectic here. He will have to come back to work and get reacclimated to Texas since hs has been in Colorado all this time.
I'm glad to hear that you are doing well after the surgery Stacy. I'm glad to hear that you are back in the states Tony. I have several friends that we over in Iraq from Jan 05 to Dec 05. I constantly worried about them and you. I now have friends that have been in Egypt since Dec 05 or Jan 06. I think they are coming back in Dec 06 or Jan 07. From what I understand, this is an easier rotation that what Iraq was. Glad to know you are safe.

New Heart ~ New Life

The surgeons claim Stacy’s heart transplant to be a text book surgery, a perfect one, but the events prior to her surgery on December 8th, 2005 were far from it.
On Wednesday, December 7th, Dallas experienced a major ice storm. The hospital at Medical City of Dallas called at 5:45 pm stating they had a heart for Stacy and she had four hours to get there. She was completely stranded. She called a deacon at her church that picked her up in a Chevrolet four wheel drive. Once downtown, all highways were shut down so many back roads were taken. She made the four hours by thirty minutes. Due to the ice storm, her heart arrived late from El Paso, Texas. The surgery was performed at 2:30 am and lasted two hours. Parents, church members, family and Angela were there.
Her recovery has been great so far. She was out of the hospital in seven days. Rehab will last for ninety days. She has to take twenty-six pills a day to ensure there will not be any rejection of the heart. As the days go by, the medication intake will be reduced. She is expected to return to work at the beginning of March. Her life is overflowing with the confidence of God’s love and presence.
Dalton, her sweet son, has been informed of the surgery. He has been very loving and understanding during this life changing experience. He is most excited and looks forward to a trip to Six Flags!
With all of these challenges comes emotional baggage. Please call or write to Stacy when you can.

What can you do? My transplant counselor has encouraged me to set up a heart transplant fund with my family's bank, so when people want to "help", this will offer them the relief of doing something for me. Flowers, plants are not usually allowed in the heart patient’s room. I can use this for expenses like 24 hour day care for Dalton, since my family will be at the hospital with me, home assistance, and gas for the rehab exercises.

When thinking of how nervous I am to relay this to you, I think of how nervous I will be to tell my 6 year old son Dalton. The time has come to share my medical condition with each of you. I am currently on a continuous, intravenous (IV) infusion which contains medicines to improve the function of my heart. It is small and not real noticeable. For the past 3 months different measures have been taken to improve my quality of my heart, such as medications, and other cardiac rehabilitations. Unfortunately, they have all FAILED. The surgery for my new life has been offered by Medical City of Dallas - a heart transplant.

I want each of you to know that I love my job, my life, my new home, my beautiful car, and I am committed to maintain my lifestyle. I worked in May and June with a virus that soon became the leading cause of why my heart was weakening and not able to be revived to a level that will prolong my life. It was completely out of my control. I had a heart condition that was genetic, but it was not limiting my abilities. The virus in May and June seriously changed the case.

I have been told by all my doctors that work can channel my energies into creative, constructive activity. I have been released from my stay last Friday (October 14, 2005) from the hospital and encouraged to take advantage of this feel good medicine that I am on (pre-transplant meds). Expectations are that I can work until a heart is ready for me. I started this medicine last week and my energy level has elevated and I feel in the best physical and emotional state that I have not felt in months. That assures adequate function of my heart and allows me to stay at work. I shopped, landscaped, carved pumpkins all weekend long - it was great!

Once a heart is available, I will spend 2-5 days in the hospital. I will then have 3 weeks of exercise recovery. Back to work in 3 1/2 weeks. I hope I gave you a fair overview. When will the heart will be available? Probably be at the first of next year.

Please do not think of me as a "patient" but as a future healthy person with a special appreciation for life. I plan to take advantage of modern medicine and beat any obstacles. I have had adequate time to receive counseling, a loving family/friends to back me, and sound church to support me, so please do not treat me any different than an old friend. A pre-assessment with Aetna has been filed and they are VERY FAIR. The Lord is standing behind me and renewing my spirit.

On the question of telling people. It is entirely up to you. The fact is, more women die from cardiovascular disease, than from all forms of cancer, including breast cancer.

What can you do? My transplant counselor has encouraged me to set up a heart transplant fund with my family's bank, so when people want to "help", this will offer them the relief of doing something for me. Flowers, plants are not usually allowed in the heart patients room. The fund information will be available in a couple of days when I receive confirmation from the bank. I can use this for expenses like 24 hour day care for Dalton, since my family will be at the hospital with me and gas for the rehab exercises.

Thank you for supporting me. This is only a bump in the road. I look forward to hugging each and everyone's neck. I hope this email captured my accountability as a survivor and an amazing person with a love of life. Stacy Regeon Vann 972-365-0059 cell 105 Vista Ridge Dr., Venus TX 76084

Hello everyone: I'm sure you've all been watching tv coverage of the hurricane. I hope you're all doing what you can to help out- it is such a horrible situation for so many people. I'm just in shock by what I've seen on tv. I can't believe that something like that is happening in the United States!

Many of you have emailed to ask, (out of curiosity ?), about gas prices, or you've sent the message about boycotting gas stations etc. Gas here is $3.10 and we have been out of diesel for a couple of days. Boycotting is not really an option for us- we'd like to keep our family businesses running! Most of us are being more careful about how much gas we're using, but I think that's mostly because of the price!

Anyway, I hope that none of your family or friends were caught in the hurricane. Please pray for relief, and send money or food or whatever is being collected where you live. And be thankful! Life is good, no matter what's going on in your life right now!

Well, I know that it has been a long time since I updated anyone, so here is the update.
Kimble didn't get activated to Iraq. The unit that he is in didn't take anyone that had problems. For example, Kimble needed 7 teeth fixed, and so he was left here. Well, in March he was called up again and this time they fixed his teeth. However, the day before final qualifications to go to Iraq, he broke is ankle in a training exercise. He has been in Colorado Springs since the 8th of March and has not come home yet. He was finally released from the doctor for his ankle, but while he was up there they we doing some tests and he told them about his sinus problems. So he is currently waiting on a consult from a pulmonologist. He is supposed to let us know if Kimble has asthma. If he does, it is possible that they will medically retire him from the military. If not, he will come home and will possibly called to go to Egypt. Personally I hope he doesn't have asthma so that we don't have to worry about that later in the future.
I have been able to see him a few times since he has been in Colorado. I went to see him Easter weekend. That is when we found out about his ankle. I also got to see him the first week in June and he came down here the weekend of the 8th - 12th of July.
His appointment to see the pulmonologist is not until the 9th of August, so it looks like we won't know anything until after them. He is planning on coming home for a few days the weekend of the 13th of August.
If anything else comes up, I will try to keep everyone informed.

Hey Jennifer,

I saw you posted a message on the 1992 website, despite the fact it was in February :( Anyway, I wanted to let you know that noone has sent me any pictures, so therefore I have none to put on our website.

I would also like to add that LeAnne was supposed to send out some kind of info on names and addresses for everyone that went, but I handt heard of that either.

Please email me some pics and stories! That will help me get in gear to get things updated if I actually have things to add! :o)

Just to give everyone an update before the school year starts. My husband, Kimble, has been activated. His activation begins August 15th. He will be at Ft. Hood for about 6 months and then to Iraq for a year. One of the ladies I work with, Jana Wieburg, is in the same situation. Her husband will be activated at the same time as my husband, so we will be doing a lot of driving back and forth to Ft. Hood from San Angelo.

I will try to send a picture of my step daughter when I send a current picture of Kimble and I for Jen to post. Her name is Nicole. We have been tring this summer to be more a part of her life. We decided to take more of an interest right before we found out at the end of May that Kimble was being activated. Hopefully she will get to spend enough time with him before he actually has to go to Iraq. Please keep us in your prayers. It is going to be hard around the house. At least I have work and neighbors that will be watching out for me.

Keep in touch. If anything changes with Kimble, I will let everyone know.

Hey, glad to see that so many of you are still using this message board! It's such a quick way to let us all know what you've been up to (without having to wait for me to update our site and who knows how long that might take).

But speaking of updates, I finally got our photo albums loaded and working! So send me some new pictures while I have time to work on it. I'm so big (just about four weeks till the baby comes!) that sitting is about all I feel like doing lately.

There are some other updates yet to do and I'll get those on ASAP. Be sure to make plans to attend the Decades Reunion (all alumni from the 90's) at Homecoming this year! Send in your updated contact info if you haven't done that yet. Let's continue to keep in touch- before long we'll be getting together for another reunion of our own!

Thanks again for all your support on our web site. It means a lot to me. Y'all have a great summer!!!

Thats right, we are trying to get as many people from the classes of 1990-1999 to have a weekend of fun this year. We need some help with class of 1990 if any of you can help it would be appreciated.

Last night, I was thinking about Ranger and what I remember growing up versus what exists now. It would be fun to see what you remember, too.
1. The spindle-top at the pool in the shallow end
2. Two diving boards at the pool.
3. The pool was over 10 ft deep
4. A ceramic shop on Main Street, across the street from a grocery store, Quality?. Also a dress shop on the corner by Gholsen, and a jewelry store before Rexall.
5. Two pharmacies: Rexall and Brown's
6. Our old gym spook houses
7. The teen center
8. Watching my mother cry when the old school by the old gym came down
9. The Frigi-Queen!
10. How Bobby Richardson had the nicest house in our class!
11. How Angela perfected the back flip before anyone else (for that matter, I think she was the only one)
12. Watching a grey hound pick up and drop off people
13. Barely remember the store/restaurant in operation next to Bubba's Liquor...it was like a car-hop place
14. When Ranger had more than one red-light (can you believe that it's down to one?!?!)
15. The boys club in the summer
16. The hospital was open, not dorms!
17. When we had real Roaring Ranger Days with helicopter rides and Spanky McFarlin on Main Street
18. When both recreation parks were open ~ the one by the swimming pool and the one behind our current volunteer Fire Dept
19. When the circus would actually come to Ranger
20. The dips by the post office
21. The last movie I saw at the drive-in was Purple Rain
22. Being the first to return a ball at the Little League Field to get a free snowcone

I have accepted a position at Ernst & Young, Downtown Dallas ~ world famous accounting firm. I start May 24, 2004. So, I am moving back to the Dallas area (Fort Worth wasn't big enough to hold me!) I am excited to say that I will live in a smaller town, outside of Dallas (Waxahachie, TX). Dalton starts public school this year. I could not imagine putting him in Dallas ISD, and to be frank...I am sick of paying private school prices! He turns 5 in August.

Well, it has been a long time since I have heard from or talked to some of ya'll. This school year has been crazy. I am sponsor of the school newspaper. I have a staff of 5 seniors and 1 freshman. The other thing is that I am also senior class sponsor. Hectic huh? Well, today is the first day of the second semester. I have added 4 chemistry students (1 doing her's by Independent Study) and 1 7th grader. I'm not sure if I will be able to keep up with all of the changes.
My husband didn't get deployed like they thought. However, for those of you in the military, he is in school ( one a month on the weekend) and will get his E6 sometime between May and August. It depends on when he is schedule for Phase II and when he is back with his unit. If he is in Phase II in June, it may be July or August before he gets his E6 pinned on him.
Otherwise, things around here are great. Kimble just got a Civil Service job where he works only 4 days a week. WE figured it up and he only works a total of 189 days a year. (That's counting his days off in a week and all of the days he gets off for federal and state holidays.)
Here is my updated home email address:

Hey gang....Stacy, so sorry to hear about your health problems. It sounds like you have a great attitude about it...we all would expect nothing less from you!!!

Just an update from here...I'm still in Wichita Falls but will probably be relocating soon. Mom and dad moved to Clyde. Darby and Steph and the cutest niece and nephew an aunt could have, now live in our old house on Homer. Jodi is going to grad school at Duke...yes, that's Duke University in North Carolina. In three years, she will be a doctor of physical therapy! We are sooooooo proud of her! I FINALLY graduated in August....just a smidge over ten years! I'm still with the Boys & Girls Club...as the teen services director...I love it!!! I really wish we would have had something like this in Ranger. It's amazing! Take care!!

You need to email the Ranger Independent School District Page or the Exes Class page for revisions regarding your parents. This website pertains to the Class of 1991. Good Luck on your manhunt...the only Buster I recall was a year or two older than us and was related to a girl in the class of 1990 named Bobbie Jo.

I need HELP!!! I am trying to find a Ranger High School Graduate I have lost contact with. She is my mother's cousin. Her name was Alice Joy Lentini the last time I knew a name. I do have information that she married someone named Buster (last name unknown) and that she resides in Cisco. My Aunt, Dorene Bruce Patterson would like to attend the reunion and was hoping to ride with Alice Joy, but has lost her address and phone number. If you could send it to me, I could relay the info to my aunt.

Both my parents are deceased, but were also RHS grads. Their names were Andrew Bruce and Louise Dodd. Please update their records to reflect their deaths.

Thank you, Dixie Bruce

I have started this topic to everyone, and just backed out of sending it. Word is traveling, so it's best that each of you hear it from me. In May, my appendix ruptured and I spent a week in the hospital. God had one more mountain for me to climb, when a decision was made to implant a defibulator (like VicePres Chaney) in my heart to monitor the rhythms. Before Dalton's birth (over 3 yrs ago), I discovered a problem with my heart that some pregnant women get...cardio myopaphy. Most grow out of it; however, I did not. In addition over a course of 3 years, different medications have been provided to treat myopaphy and the irregular heartbeats, in which I do not respond. The alternative was to be on a higher dose of medication that can be deadly to your other organs. Judging that I will be around a long time...pills for the next 30 years was not an option for me. I have a genetic background on my paternal and maternal side of heart complications. It's reassuring to know that I have addressed them early and maybe avoided serious or untreatable conditions. Keep me in your prayers...God has a plan for me...maybe it's that I am full of life (piss and vinegar, mostly-just kidding), and I seize every moment * walking on sunshine. If I can prove..it's not what happens to you, it's how you handle it (Mrs. Henderson's motto), and my sunshine never produces rain...maybe Dalton will be as strong as his mother one day.

Hello everyone. It has been a busy year. My school decided to bring the 6th grade up into our junior high. So we have been dealing with them. It is a new experience. They are alot different from high school students.
I'm surprised to find out that Shawna is having a baby and twins at that. Congrats!! It's great to know that there are some of us that are not afraid to raise children in today's world. As for me, Kimble and I are still waiting at least one more year before we start having children. (Or at least working on having children.)
There have been 3 teachers at my campus of school that have children this year and one that became pregnant. That is how I ended up with the wonderful job of JH Cheerleading sponsor. I bet Angela and Stacey remember that year. It was an interesting ride. An now I get to see it from the other end of the spectrum.
Just a little note for those who are military associated; my husband is in the Army National Guard and he found out last month that his unit will be the next one called up. As of right now, I think he said it would be around next May. It will be a 6 to 9 month rotation and he will be going to either Bosnia or Afganistan from what I understand. If it happens earlier than that I will let you know. I just hope that he doesn't have to go, or he will be stationed somewhere in the US but neither seem likely.

Here's my email addresses:

Hello All: Just want to let you know that my computer has been down for awhile so I haven't been able to update the website. I got hit by a pretty nasty virus (made it through my very expensive virus scan too!) and I lost a lot of info from the last 3 months or so (since my last backup anyway). So, if you sent me any info (especially photos!) that I haven't posted on the website yet please send it again. Thanks! I should have things up and running again by the weekend! Write me when you get a chance!!

Shawna's shower was really nice and we all had such a good time. It was fun to see her pregnant (and with twins!) and she's so cute- can't wait to see what those two sweet girls look like. They're all three doing great but let's keep them in our thoughts and prayers. {Keep those feet up Little Momma!}

Hello everyone...if you are curious about how the R-Bar dance turned-out. I have to admit with the National Disaster we experienced, I think everyone wanted to stay close to home and near family. I did see a few of the '91 gang...Alma, Chris W, and Rhyne. If I missed you in the stands....well, my son was the one chasing the band during half-time - maybe you saw my Olympic sprint to grab him, heels and all??? You know the RHS staff was like...oh great, a little mini-Stace lives! So, ideas are still up in the air to help replinish our pot - Send them to Ms. Stroup if you dare! All kidding aside...we're all reaching to understand why this happened...TIME is so valued, hope you are sorting through this in a graceful manner.

Perhaps you donated blood, or sat quietly in a chair; Perhaps you sent emails that were of sympathy expression around the world; Perhaps you spoke kind words to someone in despair; Perhaps you spent time in deep thought by the radio or TV...whatever the part you played on 09-11-01...I just want to convey that I am thankful of the time we shared as kids and young adults. Not saying it was always easy, it takes all kinds to make the world go round, BUT I am sure a chain was made, one with sentiment. Because I feel so small right now, an emotion of insecurity "not knowing" what lies ahead -- I wanted to express this to you. I am heading back to the "roots" of Ranger this weekend - hope to be greeted by your smile. God Bless, Stacy

Updates:

The date for Homecoming has been announced: September 14, 7:30 against Hawley.

Stacy has proposed an idea for homecoming that would give us a place to party while putting some extra money in our class account too. We could promote a band at RBAR that night and get half the cover charge. This would involve little work/money on our part. Let us know what you think!

We want to see you ALL there September 14!!!!

Congratulations to Shane! He and Dannielle now have a beautiful daughter, Shay Lynn, born July 7.

Let us know what's new with you. I am trying to find the date for homecoming so we can all get together again. Maybe by that time we can round up those who were missing from the reunion. Pass the word!

Hope you are all having a great summer!!!

Hello to everyone from down here in Houston. We wish that we could have been in on what appeared to be a great reunion. If you want to keep the old memory up of RHS, head to Dallas/Carrollton/Addison and hit Sandy Lake Park, our Jr.High band stomping grounds. Well, I have to say I'm sad I missed it. Donny and I loved the pictures, everyone looks great! It's nice so many showed up. California won this one but, not ever again! I hate this place, "you can take the girl out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the girl!!!" I hope that I'll be able to keep in touch with you all, even those I haven't written or heard from yet. Feel free to drop me a line, I'd love to hear from you all. Well, until we meet again...Lost in California, Donna

Hello to everyone once again. The reunion was a blast! If you weren't there we sure wish you could have been! We had a total of 19 classmates and their families show up! There were lots of old pictures and old memories brough to life! The Wall of Fame was funny and started some fun conversations! We visited mostly, cooked lunch on the grill, some went swimming and boating while others played washers and horseshoes, not to mention keeping up with 10 or so children! Plans to go out kind of fell through as we all sat around talking about old times and creating more memories! Note to self, never spray your dog with carpet cleaner!

A huge thanks to those who contributed to our account and those who brought food! We had plenty to eat and drink! Jennifer is working hard on our class page and I want to thank her again, it is very time consuming and free....you don't find that very often in this world! Thanks Jen! For now plans for a 15th are in order! Any ideas? Just kidding, I think we can let it rest for a while! Had a blast! Take care and stay in touch! Shawna

Jen this is a wonderful idea. I want to thank you too for all of your efforts and work to help with the reunion. We know you don't have to do this page... so we're very appreciative that you take time out for our class to motivate everyone and keep us all in touch! We can't wait to see all of the families on June 9! Thanks again!
