CHristmas party has been moved from the Mayeux's home to Del & Linda Manuel's. 434 Maude Road. Everything else remains the same. From Hwy 378 (Sam Houston Jones Parkway) turn on Reeves Road, turn right on Bozo Road, turn right on Maude Road - 3rd drive on right. Call 855-9373 if you get lost.
Hope to see everyone here! Old fashioned Christmas - caroling, firepit bonfires, etc.

We have a barn dance scheduled for October 8th at the Managan Center in Westlake, LA. Dress is country casual. Prizes will be given to the best dressed "country casual" couple. Music, dancing, and fun -- snack trays only.

I just got the e-mail last night i'm sorry i miss last sunday.. We had our family came in town over weekend. Is good to see our krewe helping the people.. And the picture look geat... Let me know if ya'll doing again. I will start chcking my e-mail... You are doing great job.

richard thanks for the info al and i are in New jersey since july 28 wont be home til probably Sept 20th glad to see the help the krewes and our city is doing to help those that are in such need we have been watching and praying the people up here are havin drives and sending people to help and offering places forour displaced people and for college students also sorry we arenot there tohelp but will be right there when we get back thanks again melba

Linda,I don't think you, as president of our krewe, should try to manage everything which comes along. You should keep the membership informed of what is going on, since it is you who most likely get the news from the Krewe of Krewes and related organizations. It is up to the membership to join in to do things we enjoy doing as a social club. Good communication is the key to all this. With today's technology, it is so easy to "spread the word". I was hoping that Quick Topic might be a good medium, but most members I e-mailed an invitation, did not even bother to sign up to get krewe information delivered to their desktop.
Hey, we are living the good life, when we can help other people in need, instead of having to accept someone else's help.
