I have some frame pages (contents frame style) two levels down from the in a site I am putting together. Now I can't figure out how to put a link on the page that will take the user back out (and up) of the frame page. A regular link to home or parent pages just brings them up in the other frame. I want a way to back up OUT of the whole frame setup.

Is there any way of creating a drop down menu using the existing hover buttons, which would open when the mouse is placed over the button and closes when it is moved off it.
I am redeveloping a site which has already been created and I don't want to mess around with the current links too much, is there a simple way of doing this.
I have tried various scripts but none of them worked properly, or were too complicated.
Any help would be appreciated.

This means that either the graphics are not being pointed to correctly (if you made the theme that might happen) if it's an orginal unlikly.. Or it might be that the theme grahpics are not being uploaded.. are you ftpin with a third party app or using fp to ftp or publish? ... if your using fp ext open the site live and check for your theme on the site... you can always drag the relevent folders across... hth Tina AccessFP - FrontPage Resource Centre Site - http://www.accessfp.net/Journal - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AccessFPJournal

I recently created a FP2000 intranet on Windows 2000 Professional. I added the server extensions and published the web to the intranet server. When I try to use the search tool I get a blank window with the message "There is no catalog". Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? pgillespie@summitoh.net

I have a site at: www.the-english-service.co.uk
I have used Frontpage 2000 and would be grateful if everyone could look at it and let me know if there are any problems and what I can do to improve it.
Many thanks

Gordon, Check the links on your site, the link "Our Company" on the mainpage doesn't connect. Might consider the number of different fonts you're using and select one either serif or non-serif. Good idea, stay the course. Ref /m58

Your background is not configured Need alt tags on some graphics (get TP_ErrOmi a FREE Frontpage Add-on from http://solution-shelf.com which will check both of those plus much more) Your menu is spread out but your content is condensed.. either/or not both. use sans serif fonts on the web http://the-english-service.co.uk/Rates.htmon this page it's hard to see the black text on the brown background I would change that hth Tina

M61 hth Tina In Internet Explorer go to. Tools | Internet Options | Colors | Untick the Use windows colours and choose a colour for the background that no one would use like spruce pink click ok twice and refresh the page to your site you will see what I mean. I use this method to check my own pages you would be surprised at how many 'big' sites don't have theirs configured try looking at http://www.yahoo.com/To configure your background in FrontPage. Right click on the background of a page choose Page properties Go to the background tab go to 'Colour's | 'background' and choose your background colour while you are there change the hyperlink colours from automatic as well to the colour of your choice and the text too. Press Ok. Remember to use the same link colours throughout your site so you won't confuse visitors

Hello All I am in desperate need of help. I created my site www.forsalesearches.com using FP2000 and have just set it up in FP2002 everything working fine. Site works and looks okay.(9 pages) However I made the mistake of never validating my HMTL. When I do it doesnt like certain body, table, img, font etc. code and is not very search engine friendly. I have tried to fix but am not what you would call much of a computer guy. I need help big time fixing this site, and am wondering how when I create another site I can stop these problems from re-occuring or easily fix. Also do my meta tags look right. Can also email me at jasonw@kos.net
Thanks Lunker P.S. Have a great Christmas

I have set up an intranet site, it works and looks fine on my pc and on the server, however on other pc's the layout is totally messed up. I have checked the resolution and they are the same. Is there something I'm missing.

Tina,
You have said that I should use sans serif fonts on the site. Sorry for the silly question, but which fonts are sans serif? Why are these types of fonts better? I have used Ariel.
Thanks.

/m66If I said that you must have had some pages or sections with a different font and that font must have been serif fonts.. serif fonts have little curly bits like Times New Roman... sans serif...sans meaning without... are like Arial and don't have them.. on the web it's easier to read sans serif in book form it's easier to read serif. I had a quick look but could not find the serif font, I still find it hard to see the black text on the dark brown. hth Tina http://accessfp.net
