I am a carpenter, I build new homes in the New Home Construction field. It has been in my heart for several years to start building churches. I would like to also use the opportunity in building churches to start an evangelistic ministry while practicing my trade of carpentry. I would like to do this overseas, perhaps Russia. I dont know how to begin or who to talk to about it. My church is young and unable to help me in this matter. I am UPCI. Hi everyone. I'm not a pastor, just someone who has a real passion for women and have a desire to see African women reaching their full potential. For a while now, the Lord has been calling me to step out into my ministry and finally I feel that I have the peace to to that.

I would like to hear from churches/ organisations/ individuals that would be willing to partner with us ( The Women's Empowerment Project ), to set up a refuge for prostitutes in Ghana. The idea is to offer them a place to stay where their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs can be met.

During an 8 month period around 25 women would learn new skills and develop a sense of worth and love to be able to earn a living by other means than prostitution. The foundation of the work will be on Jeremiah 29:11, to really show them them indeed God has so much more to offer them.

I am busy getting ready to put together and head up a team to go into Kumasi-Ghana West Africa on September 9th-26th! There is much hunger, despair, sickness and other needs to be addressed. It is my prayer that we will bring to them hope and supplies, as well as do a story to be brought back the US and aired on A Better Day Show. The coverage will begin here in the US showing all the help that was given, the fundraisers and the mission trip to Ghana itself, this story will also be shown at churches throughout the country. I have a friend who is a pastor in Ghana and we are planning to combine our teams, as well as looking for a few doctors to come with us. We will be going into the villages to minister, bringing in humaniatarian aid (of; food, clothing and such) , dig a well for fresh water supply ( the people in the villages wash their clothes and drink from the same river), and teach them how to plant seeds and show them the love of Jesus. We are in need of Volunteers to join our team, as well as donations- Donation List Available on site. http://www.reachthenations.org is a good missions site. It is the website of New Covenant Missions Organization. They have internship opportunities, missions resources, articles, short term trip info, and a photo gallery of tribal peoples.

I have responded to all of the links on the message board. If there is something else I could do to prepare my church for their trips. Let me know??

I work for a missions organization that takes youth ages 13 and up overseas to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those that may have never heard before.
