"Information Design" is the contemporary area of Graphic Design dedicated to wayfinding, cartography, digital design - the heart of this topic :-) Google has some good sites (idblog.org :-) but specifically I remembered the issue of Information Design Journal with the Jacques Bertin cover (http://www.ideography.co.uk/idsync/bert/bertisle.html)

I'd also like to commend your great blog entry, which is an excellent "comb" (http://www.fravia.com/ideale1.htm) for web cartography and cartography on the web :-)
