Hi. I saw KC on the Leno show last night and was wondering i'm i the only one that thinks it sucked? what happened to the talent and the sound? the horn section played 4 notes over and over about 50 times, the music made no sense, and I was at the official site and all they do is praise KC...... any one please pinch me.

I saw that Jay leno gig too, what-a-dissapointment. Sorry to say it but I hope I dont get deleted for it,
and those people in the "official site", theyll say anything to KC to suck up to him and thats why I never go there cause its sick reading their posts.

Ya'll are right! What was the point in KC being there, first of all? And Second-the song sucked! Now don't get me wrong-I love BOOGIE SHOES- but after awhile-your waiting for the song to start-you'll keep on waiting. As to what is being said at the "other" message board, I don't personally know-but someone needs to clue KC in-HE WAS USED and it's that simple! Does it make me mad-Hell yeah. Aren't You?

Whewwyy, I thought I was alone, but I kind of think that KC surround himself with people that don't have any vision. Instead of going forward he tends to go back but then who am I to know.

KCSB is coming out with a new cd, from the little I got, I heard they're remixing some of their hit songs from the 70's but not sure... anyone know for sure?

and nice to see fresh NEW beautiful KCsb people and ideas here!!!

I heard KC is going to tour with that rap group-did anybody else hear that? I was really disappointed when I heard that...hope it's not true.

I hope that thing on the Tonight Show was a one-off.

Whats everyone's fav KCSB song?

I think "keep it coming love" is a really cool sound,
I love the guitar, fits right in and no instrument drowns any one else,
nice and easy and groovy-licking-tasty.

Hey you Kenny, I just realized your initials are KC, Ken Carrano, ha ha,

I agree with you, I think "Keep it coming love" has probably got the best sound I've ever heard-but you can't count out "I'm your boogie man" maybe it's a girl thing but the music and especially the words get my groove going every time.

I like I'm Your Boogie Man; it's been my favorite since 1977. Also anything with a lot of horns and percussion. I never liked Keep It Comin' Love until I started going to the live shows. my personal favorite is get down I heard it for the first time about 2 years ago in high school and ever since I love the kc band music but I haven't heard all the songs.

Well, Becky I never thought of "scary" being used to describe the song,(We're talking about I'M YOUR BOOGIE MAN) I suppose you could be right, maybe it's a lovin' boogie man though? Steve,the closest is Wendover NV-its just outside of Utah on the border on I80 about a mile from Bonneville (you must visit) its about 2 miles from Wendover and also go in the mountain trails, you get to see the salt flats, awesome view,the town is a tiny casino town about a mile long and has some old west style shops, good Mexican restaurant at the west side on a shopping center, good motels (but not the greatest) and hot n dry and take plenty of water!

and yes CHristine's this is "our" board - everyone's!!! :)

Well, one night in January 1999 I was watching television and the KC and the Sunshine Band "Behind the Music" came on. I had been a fan of theirs before, but like everyone else had pretty much forgotten about them in the years after. By the end of that TV show, I somehow knew I would meet KC someday. A few weeks later, I found out they were coming to Chicago and got to go see them, and I guess the rest is history in some universe. But what if I hadn't had the TV on that night, or had been watching some other channel? Coincidence, or meant to be? (See, I told you it had nothing to do with Tex!)Becky

DAYTON OHIO SHOW REVIEW.....Well how to make a long story short...After driving 1hr and 20 minuites in pouring rain,went the wrong way(direction's where wrong),standing in the same spot along the rail..I got to me a ex-NY Jet's Football player "Walter"whom is now a comintator for the Dayton Dragon's Baseball team...KCSB arrived and let me tell you put on a TERRIFIC show..Such high energy and they had fun on stage too...lotsa laugh's...The new song SHINE let me tell you is a HIT !!!! They added a few new song mixes with some of the song's we posted that we wanted to hear..Was cool..Do you feel Alright..(Hehehehe) Anyway after the show was another story..I got to chat with Fermin(Conga's) he is such a sweety.Maria alway's has a hug and a smile..Chatted with her for awhile she loved my hair cut and introduced me to Charlotte who is alway's a sweety.Ralph hpwda get so Tall ? Love him he hug's to give.. Jason,was cool too...He kept asking me who are you again...lol..j/k...Saw a few new faces,Where was AJ ? Barbara weas rush rush never saw her again and KC...Can I say to you all I need to vent...Now I understand the security thing but and I say BUT..Wht do they give us passes to see KCSB and then grb KC as soon as he get's off stage walk him straight to the LIMO and pff he goes...That's not fair to us at all..I did hear a Band member say (I won't mention thier name)that they argue sometimes with security because they created these passes for them to spend time with fan's and Security just doesn't care and it upset's the band because it is a gift to the fan's so the can meet us and all that good stuff...Kinda made me feel better knowing that they don't like how security trat's us..But I did get good photo's..Overall I enjoyed the show and meeting and chatting with some friend's(KCSB)But dissapointed that I din'd get to see KC...But if you get the chabce GO SEE THE SHOW......

So I've been busy looking for another one, that's where all my time has been lately, but my thoughts have been with you guys and KC, can't forget him, which leads me too Becky...I'm totally happy for you girl! You got to see the man!!!! Mine turn is in a month-I can't wait!!! And Jim, how are you these days?

I said it and lets see what happens next. You too Christine! do something that will make you happy even though you may have to take a pay cut. I used to put fuel in airplanes a few years ago,(glam job) just cause I loved airplanes and wanted to be around them, I could have been making more elsewhere but that was good enough and made me happy. :) - - - oh I forgot, I got bitten by a doggie on my hand, its swollen like a balloon - but anyways I still love that doggie! :)

Log flume is one of those water rides - you sit in a log-shaped boat and go down a hill. I think it's called Logger's Run at Great America. It's my favorite ride and they have a really cheesy looking one at Taste.

Yeah, Michigan, Grand rapids, thanks Steve for agreeing with me, isnt it the truth. I havent been a fan that long and we've been supporting KCSB here also, I think Lori Steve Jim Christine and me have been very supportive here inour own little ways and we've contributed in small ways.KC or the band will probably never know it but thats allright with us.
I've submited a bunch of links and Lori and I think steve came up with the message board idea(I forget), and Christine(now MIA) was the life of the board, Jim does this for the love of it, how has anyone else contributed here?

Hey you guys-I sure miss you all so much but I'll suck up my tears and tell you all the story of my weekend. First of all I of course went to the show-but I had also won tickets (which I would have bought gladly) that put me into a drawing for the grand prize of dinner for two at the House of Blues and a hotel stay-well guess what-my nine months of suffering paid off and I won. The KCSB promotion dept. arranged our hotel stay and let me tell you-it was no hotel. They put us up at the Disney Yacht Club resort!!! This was a $400.00 a night resort. It was awesome and we (Val and me) we're pampered like queens-we had the best room in the place-I took pictures and I'll put them on a web page soon, but anyway it was unbelieveable. The dinner at HOB sucked! They said it was southern food but I didn't see anything southern about the menu. On to the show- now you know I love KCSB as much as everyone else but the show sucked! They must have missed sound check- it sounded awful- I don't think they could hear what they we're playing-Dancers missed steps-KC sang wrong lyric's and he about busted his booty. I'm saying nothing that isn't true and KC knows it. I did get to hear the new song and even though the sound was off I got the gist of what it was about and I loved it. I hope to hear the good version soon. I did'nt get but one concert pic and I couldn't even get on the floor, it was so packed. But that's okay-I have backstage passes-well after waiting almost two hours and being told KC wasn't doing a meet and greet tonight after at least 10 people or more had already got in- we finally sweet talked our way to Mark-who is new I guess- We we're taken into a room and waited a while until KC finally came in and asked "So you guys want to get some pictures?" He was very nice about it and smiled beautifully for me-I'll add the pictures soon- and that was it- "Okay guys I'm outta here" and he was gone. So were we, after I got the song list off the mirror and took some Evian water bottles for my "treasures". I waited nine months and it was dissapointing to say the least. But hey fans for life right? I will go back, but somethings bothering me about KC- he's not taking care of himself or something. I don't really know what it was that bothered me but somethings not right with him and I'm worried. Send him you're prayers guys-I think he needs it.
Okey dokey on to other things- Debby did you notice anything on the fourth? By the way thanks for the birthday wishes. And hello and welcome to Spooki. Yo Steve good to hear from you-are you staying out of trouble? And Jim I miss you're fatherly way with us-Belinda girl-How are you doing? Hello everyone!!! How's every litle thing with you guys? I meant to be around more last week but I think I fell into a depression. Debby and Becky (or anyone else)...tell me if you guys do that after seeing KC? Or do I neeed to call the men with the white jacket? Better yet if I'm crazy... humor me...I may go postal! Just kidding-I think.
Anyway, It looks like I need to set the record straight- I was not complaining about the amount of time I had with KC...well maybe I was a little. It just seemed like after such a long wait (9 months) it wasn't enough time for me. But hey, I never said anything to him or acted dispaointed in front of him, I simply took my time and smiled, while my heart ached. Geez...maybe I am crazy????Anyway while I leave ya'll to wonder my sanity, let me say: So Jim are we going to do the cast member page or what? Okay Jim here's what's going on-(I think-I hope Debby sets me straight on it) On the official KC message board-I asked Lee-the fan club president if KC was really okay doing the meet and greets because basically I stand behind my original intent of the message-if he doesn't want to it anymore-it would break my heart but I would put KC's feelings ahead of my own and allow him the privacy he neeeds if that's what he wants. BUT from what I gather-I upset KC-Is that right Debby? The response from KC and any other related post were deleted-Is that right so far Deb? Let me say this-just for the record-"I love KC and mean him no harm in anyway-I'm sorry if my intentions didn't come across in words but KC the feeling is there-I had YOUR best interest at heart as always."
Maybe someone from the "other" message board could pass that along because I will never return to that message board again. I don't know what really happened and how it all went down but I have defended myself with honesty-that's the way we do it here on THIS board-we speak the truth. I said before, KCSB has a big schedule in July, 12 or 14 band memebers, roadies, etc. etc. any one can get goofy her and there, even KC, each one with a private life, and Probs.... yo know? I think the bugger man didn't mean to say what he said... :) everyone gets frustradetd hare and there and KC is a human being, so, give the buggie man a chance, I know, he's a great guy and I am sure as heck that he keeps you in his heart. Christine.....It had noyhin really to do wit you I responded to your message and they din't like what I had said so the Phantom got nasty toward's me.....The I answered Katie's question about KC weither or not he was single .I honestly replied and then I posted directly to you..All it said was Christine please e-mail me and then all heck broke loose...KC's post was just a reminder to this cruel person was to get a life and leave these people alone and remember why he created the board and that he could do away with it as fast as he created it ....But don't stay away because of what has happen there. They have a general idea who it is now because they have our ISP number's when we post ect:....I haven't been posting because I was told to lay low .....I tend to treat KC like a normal guy only because I have been around him alot in the past 7 yr's but I have to also remember who he is....He is a great guy who really does care about the people around him and he has been traveling alot and I will tell you all first hand that sometimes when they are done with a show and they are rush rush and it is because they sometimes have to hurry and get to hotel get their thing's and catch a night flight out of there for the next show,and sometimes they have time beacuse they don't have to leave til later the next morning and it's still a 6/7 am flight..Also the show sometimes takes alot of of them and they just want to unwind afterward's....But no mater what I will alway's keep a special place in my heart for them....Thank's for listening....Hope all of you are doing fine !!!!!I know I wrote a book din't I.....(((((hug's)))) to all !!!!!

oh I see now, so it had nothing to do with KC being a jerk, well, thats good to know, I stirred the "chicken coupe" about a year ago, oh it was "Queen of Clubs" (Casey supposedly KC's niece) got attacked by Dems and I stood up for her and then me and Monique went at it (we're friends now)I even invited Monique here afterwards, which reminds me I should invite Casey back here again, anyways, it was a bit funny, they should leave some of those posts alone and see how like Monique and I became friends after it was all over. But, then that's them and this is us. Some of the posts here would have already been deleted 'there'. Anyone is free to be HOME here.

stlouis cardinal, geeesh... :) heh heh... its Salt Lake city, people are human beings there, like they used to be here in chicago 20 years ago. why? you ask? read on. I went to my fav pizza,joint today, Villa may on Wolcott and Montrose, as I was walking out with my extra cheese pan pizza and free rc cola, I fell and landed in the middle of the side walk with a $12 dollar pizza as sidewalk food, one 22ish girl stoped for 1 second ( to look) and kept walking, (bitch) and the people from the "l" (train) were getting off, they all just stared and kept walking, no one bother asking if I was allright, what a dissapointment in people, I would have never thought twice in helping someone up or asking if they're allright, what is wrong with people? I am so freaking dissapointed. why is everyone so selfish, anyways the pizza landed on the sidewalk and I ended gettign a frozen one to cook in the stove, then I called the owner and basically he just hung up on me,(I was polite)and i was on of his best customers too... I love Chicago... ha ha ha!!!
btw - the frozen pizza was not that bad, but I'll never forget this day when people ignore someone in need.

Jim, I would have tried to help you had I been there. Frozen pizza can be better, anyways. Stuffed pizza is never very good if you take it home, it just isn't hot enough. Hope everyone is doing OK. I'm down. Still stuck in this freakin' city with no way out and skunks on the porch. And I have to spend Christmas in this frozen wasteland because of my stupid job. Ay. I hate this time of year. Someone send me some sunshine!
