At the end of last weeks club meeting, we talked about getting out in a park this week to do some juggling & unicycling outdoors. We'll meet at the gym until 7:15 or so, then (weather permitting) drive to Myrick. We'll use the area around the stage.

Hope to see you tomorrow!

I invited Aaron Garcia, the juggler in the Star Family Circus, to join us at the club tomorrow. Their circus is performing at Riverfest, and they'll be done with their last show of the day by 5:00. It sounds like he'll probably make it. If he does come, we might want to stay at the gym this week. Also what we said we'd like to do at a park is put on a casual show, and maybe this isn't the best week for us to do that. There won't be many people to entertain at any park but Riverside this week, and we can't really just show up and put on an unscheduled show at an event like that.

Anyway, I think we should probably wait till next week to visit a park.

We are doing our unicycle/bicycle to Oshkosh, starting this Friday. I've been talking with Ed at the La Crosse Tribune and he was going to have a photographer come to our club meeting Tonight (Aug 5), he just called back and said he couldn't get a photog because of the Loggers game, He will have a photog at Riverside Park at 7:00 AM to take pictures of us starting the ride. I am assuming Ed will still be at practice tonight.

Friday La Crosse to Tomah. (bike trail, county A, and 16)
We will ride backroads South of Hwy 21 Tomah to Oshkosh.
Saturday Tomah to Necedah. (church in morning ride in the afternoon)
Sunday Necedah to somewhere near Hiway 39 (Camp at Camp Wakanda)
Monday Hiway 39 to somewhere near Omro.
Tuesday Omro to Oshkosh Arrive sometime midday

Hey all, sorry about not letting you know we wouldn't be there last meet. We ended up getting hustled out of the house before we had a chance. We wanted to let you know neither of us will be there this week either. We should be back the week after though. Talk to you later!

Hey guys! I was wondering wha the site with the new pictures is. I've looked at the coulee region jugglers site but even the new picks are old. I know that you had added pics to someother site though. So if you could let me know how to find them. Thanks.

Looks like I missed some pictures when I moved the site. It's time for some new ones anyway. I'll bring a camera to the club this week.

Here's a link to the software. There's an on-line version in JAVA, so you can try out tricks without installing any software. On this page there's also a link to the original DOS version of the program.

And another mistake in my original post... Here's the link I should've included: It's specifically about the polonium halos:

Another message to the club about a uni ride planned for next summer:

Hello Coulee Region Unicyclers!,
I am contacting unicycle clubs about an upcoming unicycle tour.

I am planning a charity unicycle tour of the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan late next summer. We are looking for riders! I am currently beginning to formalize arrangements with the Women's and Children's Ward of Marquette General Hospital as the recipient of the donations we raise.

Would you please be so kind as to pass this link on to any of your members that might be interested in touring with us? The website has much information about the tour and the UP. Are there any other Wisconsin uni clubs that I should be contacting?

Also, being new to planning such events, I am wide open to suggestions and ideas.

Thank you very much. Have a good day!
Sincerely,
Blake

Erik Jensen ( age 20) and Nick Langseth ( age 21) learned how to juggle four years ago. After watching a friend perform, and even juggle fire, they decided juggling was neat enough to learn. Picking up three balls they started to practice what would soon become a major part of their life.
After many, many hours of practice the brothers had worked their skills up to the point of juggling clubs, knives, and fire. After a year of practice, and a little prodding from their parents, both brothers decided to take their skills on the road and show people what was possible in the realm of juggling. Approaching Big island rendezvous, an event they had gone to for years they asked to be able to juggle for the crowds. When asked what their name was, a little nervously they spouted out as a lark, The Amazing Budabi Brothers, and so the group was born. After a smashing success at Big island they continued to book events all around the country from their home base of Houston, MN. As they traveled their eyes were opened to even more amazing things that could be done with the art of juggling.

Meeting a fellow juggler Dan Kirk, the pair learned as much as they could from him, and received a generous gift from him as well. Asking nothing in return Dan gave them a great deal of juggling equipment he no longer needed. With his help, The BudabiÂ’s expanded their skills much faster then they would otherwise have been able to do.

Joining a juggling club In La Crosse Wis, the brothers quickly picked up even more skills. Dabbling in Unicycles, Balancing and DiabloÂ’s, and always improving their juggling.

The Amazing Budabi Brothers continue to “Wow” crowds, and teach juggling all across the country.

               Your slightly eccentric friend,
                 Erik;)
