Any recommendations of good Australian literature for an 11 year old girl?

hey Susi- I just bought my niece the complete collection of books by Graeme base (e.g. Eleventh Hour or Animalia- full set for $20 from Australia post shop). She loves them. If you don't mind not buying Australian- she also loved the series 'A Series of Unfortunent Events'.

I am wondering if anyone knows some good children's book which explore the theme of relationships (with peers, parents, gandparents etc).

Am looking for children's plays/scenes/monologues suitable for 7 - 16 yrs with Australian characters.Any ideas?

Since 12 months of age my daughter has spent hours each day leafing through books and we have read innumerable books together, exhausting our local library and other sources. I have found, lately, that her interest seems to be waning somewhat which I believe could be from boredom. I'm not sure what I can do to keep her enthusiasm; I have tried many different styles of books although there are only a few that, I feel, excited her. These included; Hansel and Gretel (which we only read after lunch), Anholts' Van Gogh, and some Barbar stories. I think she likes' to see characters' that she is familiar with, or likes to gain some knowledge from the reading material. Any ideas?
