Is the weather changing more towards the extreme in the past 10 years? 20 years? 50 years? How has global climate change been affecting weather extremes such as droughts, floods, tornados, extreme cold, as of recently? How often are tornado warnings issued and then no tornado forms and touches down? Arewinters being predicted to be more extreme as far as cold and snowfall? because it seems they have been generally mild with cold swings on occasion, less snow, warm spells, ect... I see wind maps of Iowa where all the weather stations show wind direction being different everywhere where it seems wind direction is chaotic, and yet, precipitation still comes generally from the west. Why is that? Is it because wind is more in one direction when higher up in the atmosphere and it is just swirling and chaotic on the ground? Or am I wrong completely? How much acid rain does Iowa get and in what areas do we recieve it? Are there places in Iowa where polution is much more potent and affects the weather and potentially the global climate? In summers it seems extreme heat is getting to be more prominent than in years before, how has the summer weather changed in the past few decades as opposed to now in terms of temperature, humidity, ground water, wind, and precipitation?
