Hi Cheryl, Congrats on starting up the '63 BB :-) In time you will be hearing from former classmates as word gets out and they will thank you!
Hope all is well with you and yours. I still remember the bunnies you had at your last home -- they were so cute. Do you have any critters now? I have 2 cats and after they pass I'm getting a little dog. I've really missed not have a dog for many years. My next door neighbors have a new puppy so I get to play and babysit for her quite a bit -- the cats run and hide of course until the coast is clear!
Was Joe in your class? When he gets his laptop fixed I wonder if I should give him the '63 site. I know he was kicked out of school his senior year, but don't know why -- Mom just had a cow! However, he finished up at Washington going to night school.
Good to see you on here!

Living large in NorCal, still got mosta' my teeth & hair, semi-retired from aerospace, run a pet services business, married to an island girl, kids outa' college, volunteer at the local SPCA, road captain in a scooter club, and surfing Hawaii every chance I get, great mid-life crisis!
Anyone in or near central CA? Met John Glass in Tahoe last year. The guy is still a stud, racing motorcycles, driving trucks and he looks like he is 39. Yeah, we partied! (How did we "not" to to jail that night?)
I would love to hear from y'all, host ya' for a day or two here in Sacramento if yer' coming by/thru/to.

To Cheryl, Thank you for doing this for the Class of "63"
Hello Class of "63", it was a great year to be a graduate from such a wonderful school. We in 65 had a lot brothers and sisters who graduated in 63 and looked up to you for guidance and counsel. My late brother Jack D. Burroughs who passed away in 2006 would be proud that his class is represented here and would have certainly been a part of it. He always wanted to check in on his classmates and to find and talk to his old friends. So in his honor and as a proxy for him I welcome you to this BB.

Cheryl, Thanks so much for the Board.
Hello, all.
I'm in touch with a few '63 grads: David Paino lives in Philly. Joe Virgin and I talked perhaps a month ago as he drove home from refereeing a wrestling match. "Dots" Dotlich is still around, but we haven't talked in some time. Ron Gunkel is in Florida, working with Kaman (helicopters). Those were all wrestling teammates. Donna Pflum was widowed when our classmate Lloyd Nolan passed from a brain tumor (about 2001). Donna arranged a mini-reunion in 2006. Don Sanders, now a retired Methodist pastor in Florida, came to it. Donna is now Donna Sanders; they split time between Florida and Indy. Cathy McNees lives in Florida. And Mr T is a frequent correspondent.
I'm a retired Air Traffic Controller, retiring as Assistant Manager at St. Louis Tower.

I knew a few in 63. Joe Virgin and I became pretty close friends in the early 70's. Of course, I have known Ron Dillow since I was little. Dave Paino's cousin was also one of my elementary friends I stay in touch with. Enjoy your board. Reacquainting is fun and so simple. I graduated in 66 and my cousin Alan Williams graduated just a year after you guys, so many familiar names.

Hi everybody, thanks for the response I got for the class of 63. Denise, my sister is in to this. And talked me into it also, which seems like alot of fun. I'v been married to my husband (Kenny) for 44yrs. And have two daughters, and two granddaughters. Kenny is a graduate from Washington H.S, He retired from IFD in 1986, and we have our own business in Carmel. I use to run around with Carol & Margaret Jean (the twins). I know that Margret pass away sometime ago. And she dated Dave Paino, I thought ! Does anybody, know what is died from?? Yes, Donna I had the bunnies three houses back. I have a min.dachshund now that we've downsized.

Cheryl, When did your husband graduate from Washington? The reason I ask, is that Bonnie's husband also was a '63 Washington grad. His name is Larry Shotts. The night they met, I was with her. We had our mom's T-Bird and had just parked at the Pole. Three guys pulled in on Bonnie's side. Larry was riding shotgun, looked at her and said, "I think I'm in love." Bonnie looked at him like he was a complete idiot. He kept coming on to her, she kept trying to ignore him. I thought it was a laugh riot. He told her his name, and she told him he could think of a better phoney name than that. Larry told her he worked at Ayre Way and was about to graduate from Washington and that he had a 'dark green '55 Chevy with baby moons and it was parked at AyreWay. After she had had enough, we left. She decided to see if he was lying about his car...she drove over to AyreWay and parked to get out and check the only car in the lot out. Sure looked like what he described. Then we saw headlights coming, we ran back to the T-Bird, and Bonnie proceeded to flood it. Larry, grinning the biggest grin ever, walked over, leaned in (while Bonnie was dying a thousand deaths) and asked if she had thought he was lying. I don't remember what happened after that, as I was choking on my laughter. I do know she ended up giving him her phone number and that Saturday his name WAS listed as a Washington grad. She was beyond embarrassed about making fun of his name, and to think she carried it from '65 till the day she died.

Penny, my husband Ken Noland graduated from Washington in 63 also. He said he knew Larry, and went on about how things were back then. He got so carried away, that I had to finally walk out of the room. I guess it's an "ol guys thing". Bought a corvette a few years ago, now he has to fall in and roll out of it. I think we will get rid of it, for something more comfortable. Does anybody know what Margaret Jean died from ??? I thought it was some kind of heart problem.

Cheryl, Larry, Bonnie, and their two daughters moved to Houston, TX in the early 80's. He lives in the house they had bought just a couple of years before she passed...their colonial's (in Houson) two stories got to be too much for her, so they bought a new ranch style home in Katy overlooking a man-made lake. His address is: 803 Victoria Lakes Drive Katy, TX 77493-2260 phone# 281-391-4941 I am sure Larry would get a kick out of hearing from Ken. A vett, huh? Wow, what fun that must be!

Penny, I think the class of 63 were just on the edge of the computer tech age and most don't have them and if they do have them they only use them to keep up with there finanicial dealings and play solitaire. I would not have one if I had not been in business and needed it to keep up with appointments and bookkeeping tasks. Then when the internet picked up speed I started to go on line with dial up. I think I was one of the first AOL customers to sign up with them and I have always lived in the city and access to a DSL later on. Now I have glass fiber technology piped in and I'm hooked. If I can't go online it drives me up a tree. If you know what I mean. My late Brother Dave was very tech savy and had a computer a couple of years before me. he named it Omar!!!!!!!

Roy O'Conner sure knows his way around a computer.....but Roy is just plain brilliant. He has some great stories from his years as an air traffic controller, they are very funny. Maybe he can share some of those, but I KNOW there had to be some really funny things going on in that class, granted no one can hold a candle to '66...We're the class of '66, we go to school just for kicks.....come on, '63 SHARE!

Hi everybody sorry I have'nt be able to respond. We have a business that "runs us" instead of the other way around. Jocelyn, you knew my sister Elaine Hopwood. I had a falling out two years ago with her and my other sister Karen. And have'nt spoke to them since, I do, talk all the time to Denise. Does anybody remember Ms.Dierodoff, not sure I'm spelling it right. But I had her for shorthand, boy I hated her. She would march around the room, like a Nazi guard. I flunked it, go figure! I remember the time me and Denise, took dad's big gold Olsmobile to the pole to be cool. We decided to keep the windows up in 90 degree weather, so people would think we had A/C. BAD IDEA !! We were soooooo sweaty, it was like a steam bath. What made things worst, our friends would come up to the window and blast of heat would come out. Needless to say, we had no takers that day riding with us around the Pole.

Ah, Miss Deirdorff. I couldn't stand her till I had her for Shorthand my Senior year. Her military bearing came from the fact that during WW II she was a WAC. I remember some girls giving her a potatoe (sorry that's how the potatoe farmers on Long Island spell it...So, on Long Island, Dan Quale was correct...LOL) sack with Miss America 1900 (or some such year) stenciled across it. She held it up, laughed and thanked the girls. Really spiked their guns. I liked her because she had no favorites and was very fair. I got decent grades becasue I used to copy my assignment 3-4 times instead of the 2 times she required...I never used it in my lifetime, and the only thing I remember is the sign for Dear Sir. She sure was intimadating to anyone who didn't have the chance to know her, but a fairer person I never knew. The first time I encountered her was as a Sophomore at a baketball game, I was outside the gym and she jumped me for something, don't remember what. I thought,"You old biddy!" I dreaded it when I got her for Shorthand, I thought it was going to be pure hell, I had avoided her for nearly 3 years, but it turned out it was one of my favorite classes. Go figure.

Will, it's nice to know that somebody liked her. I had a "ol crow" for goverment. I liked her and thought she was fair. But can't remember her name. That was over in the annex building, with the creeky old floors. I think they tore that building down after we graduated. Penny, I don't remember you? Who did you hang out with, maybe I should look in the year book. "THANK GOD" I don't look anything like my year book picture. Do ya still live here in town?

Cheryl, Was it Mrs. Cruthers you had for Government? She was a sweetheart, I took government the summer before my Senior year, so I wouldn't have to take it my Senior year, since it was a Senior required course. No, you wouldn't know me. I am Bonnie Clarke's (63) younger sister, when you were a Senior, I was a Freshman at Fulton. I knew most of Bonnie's friends, yet some names excape me. They didn't tear down the Annex, I don't think, till the 70's. the new BD didn't open till I was a Senior, the class of '66 was the first to graduate from it, we went to the old campus till the fall of '65. Then they turned the old campus into BD Jr. High. I left Indy in '67, moved with my best frined, Jo Ellen, to Long Beach, CA. I met and married my husband (a native NYer) there in '68. When he got out of the Navy, we moved to NY, and lived most of our life on Long Island, where we raised our daughter and son. When he retired from the government and the Army, we moved to Paris, TN...real cheap place tolive. As it turned out, both our children ended up living in TN, also, one just outside Nashville, the other in Memphis. Tony and I are still married, and just enjoy hanging out with one another. You are correct, I am probably the only kid at BD who liked Miss Dierdorff....LOL

Cheryl, Bonnie was a Varisty Cheerleader for 3 years, that's what I meant about her Megaphone still being in her and Larry's garage. She was drop dead gorgoeus and very petite...had dimples to die for. But she did suffer, she had Lupus for years, then as a treatment for lupus, she was given a blood derivitive that was screened for aids, but not Hep. C by Baxter (Baxter is who manufactured it, her doctor administered it) labs...she got Hep C and sued Baxter Labs...it was a very long suit, but she won...big deal, by then she was having constant stays in the hospital....the last one, we were excited and hoped that she would finally get stonger and be able to eat. They had found she had a twisted intestine and that was making her throw up her food. That was Sept./ she never came home. She was on life support for awhile, finally the girls (her daughters) and Larry decided, when the doctors said her liver had failed, then her kidneys, and her lungs..that the only thing keeping her alive was her heart, to turn off the machines. When you look her up in the yearbook, I'm sure you will remember her and how energenic she was.....
Franklin, TN reminds me a bit of Sayville, LI where we lived. Have you been there for their Dicken's Christmas? My daughter and her family have gone, I keep meaning to but Tony and I haven't yet. It sounds like a cool weekend, with the town turned into Dicken's England, complete with the street venders, English Bobbies, and even little pick pockets (they return anything they take) all in period costume. My daughter and her family live in Mt. Juliet. We live in Paris..right by KY Lake.

So, you must have known my sisters Denise & Elaine. Our family moved to the westside in 1960.Before that we went to Tech. That was a big ajustment, from a big campus to a smaller school. Tech, was'nt too bad back then, and my sisters and I liked going to BD alot. I do remember Nanatte Kessler, I use to work in the office on the switchboard. And me and her mother shared an office. I thought that Nanatte got pregnant, not sure. But her mother was having a cow over something on the phone. She also, had a younger sister who was a cheerleder too, did'nt she.

Everybody, excuse typos.........I hate proof reading!
Terry, Yes, until Lora Rhoades was built, we went to Bd grade school. Bonnie was in the the 6th grade, I think when Rhoades was built. I think she had Miss Patterson for the 1st grade. wasn't that the real old teacher's name? Anyhow, Charlene Green was one of her best frinds in grade school, founded on their friendship in 1st grade. She came home scared to death one day, Charlene had not wanted to eat something in her cafeteria lunch. She told Miss Patterson it would make her sick. Patterson forced Charlene to eat it. Charlene threw it up, the old biddy scooped it up and put it in a tin and sent it home with Charlene. My mom, to this day, says it was a good thing she wasn't Charlene's mom, because Patterson would have been wearing it the next day. When I went to BD grade school, I went 1/2 days. !st grade was 1/2 day and so was my 2nd grade year. Yet, we had no problem keeping up with the kids from other schools who went for entire days those two years. I remember seeing the HS kids lounging around on the grass at lunch time, some freshmen wore their beenies. Boy, were they old to me as a 6/7 yr. old.....funny, they were probably the class of '56. Cheryl, No, she was not a blonde, she was 5'2", brunette, with blue eyes. She frosted her hair after she graduated....a year or so later...she then mostly stayed frosted, but when she was in HS, she wore her hair her natural color. She passed away 11-20-03. I never knew Nanette Kessler. What year did your sisters go to BD? I graduated in '66. Doyou remember "Footsie" Cunningham? John Gorsage? Minke Flanders? tese were a couple of the guys Bonnie dated....I think Ron cunningham and John G. were '61 grads. Mike Flanders was a '63 grad. She also dated Carl Chaleff...was good friends with Dotlich...and Roy said he considered her a pal. I was the peskylittle sister when she was in HS, I mean, she was in HS, I was 3 grades below her, how boring was I to be around? I will neverforget one night I was with her, Mikey Hopper, and maybe Susie Peterson...anyhow we were in one of the girl's cars and they were cracking up trying to get Bonnie to say fart. She couldn't say it...that is one word that was a big no no in our house, to this day my mom goes crazy if she hears it (gotta keep her away from my grandkids, since that's their favorite body function...LOL) Anyhow they would tell her to say...far and fort....fast together.

Note to jg: Gillis Carroll went to Indiana State for about 3 weeks (perhaps I exaggerate). One evening he told me he was packing up and going home -- didn't like college, I guess. I don't think I ever heard from him again. I have some great stories about him, but none are post-able here.

Weeellll roy, if this was the class of '66, you could post ANY story, as long as it it funny and about the time period...we love those stories. I am sure the class of '63 would allow them also...they would have to be pretty BAD, where an innocent person would be embarrassed to be off limits. How do you guys in '63 feel about Roy telling a wild story?

Happy Memorial Day to everyone...espcially remember our classmates, family members, and every other brave service member since our country was founded, who gave all for our freedoms.
Just think, 46 years ago, Westlake Beach Club was opening this weekend, as it did everyMemorial Day Weekend. Everyone was hanging out on the grassy knoll or over near the diving pool, all radios were tuned to the race. Life was so easy and fun. You guys were getting ready to graduate from BDHS. Wasn't your ceremony held at Indiana Central? I remember it sure was one very warm evening.

Hey Penny: I remember those days. The Westlake management crew had just finished painting the big pool & diving tank. Paul Voight turned on the water to fill the pool. The original lake was better. No work to open it up. Boy, that water was cold. Mr. Fine, Cox, Trent, Townsend, Schmink, Galovic, Nutty, Denton, were ready to serve all of the Westlake members. Some of those membership cards were hard to look at. (the majority were easy) Those 90 days of summer fun were something else. I thought some of you lived at the club. Those summers are gone. Too bad. Mr. T

This will probably get tossed, but it does concern the class of 63. I don't consider it as ether left or right I would think it is right down the middle. SENIOR DEATH WARRANTS:
In England anyone over 59 cannot receive heart repairs or stents or bypass because it is not covered as being too expensive and not needed.
Obama wants to have a healthcare system just like Canada 's and England 's. I got this today and am sending it on. If Obama's plans in other areas don't scare you, this should. Please do not let Obama sign senior death warrants. Everybody that is on this mailing list is either a senior citizen, is getting close or knows somebody that is. Most of you know by now that the Senate version (at least) of the "stimulus" Bill includes provisions for extensive rationing of health care for senior citizens. The author of this part of the bill, former senator and tax evader, Tom Daschle, was credited today by Bloomberg with the following statement: Bloomberg: Daschle says "health-care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them." If this does not sufficiently raise your ire, just remember that our esteemed Senators and Congressmen have their own healthcare plan that is first dollar or very low co-pay which they are guaranteed the remainder of their lives and are not subject to this new law if it passes. Please use the power of the Internet to get this message out. Talk it up at the grassroots level. We have an election coming up in one year and nine months. And we have the ability to address and reverse the dangerous direction the Obama administration and its allies have begun and in the interim, we can make their lives miserable. Let's do this!
If you disagree, do nothing.

Subject: The Lawn Mower We have the standard 6 ft. fence in the backyard, and a few months ago, I heard about burglaries increasing dramatically in the entire city. To make sure this never happened to me, I got an electric fence and ran a single wire along the top of the fence.
Actually, I got the biggest cattle charger Tractor Supply had, made for 26 miles of fence. I then used an 8 ft. long ground rod, and drove it 7.5 feet into the ground. The ground rod is the key; the more you have in the ground, the better the fence works.
One day I'm mowing the back yard with my cheapo Wal-Mart 6 hp big wheel push mower. The hot wire is broken and laying out in the yard. I knew for a fact that I unplugged the charger. I pushed the mower around the wire and reached down to grab it and throw it out of the way.
It seems as though I hadn't remembered to unplug it after all.
Now I'm standing there, I've got the running lawnmower in my right hand and the 1.7 giga-volt fence wire in the other hand. Keep in mind the charger is about the size of a marine battery and has a picture of an upside down cow on fire on the cover.
Time stood still.
The first thing I notice is my pecker trying to climb up the front side of my body. My ears curled downwards and I could feel the lawnmower ignition firing in the backside of my brain. Every time that Briggs & Stratton rolled over, I could feel the spark in my head. I was literally at one with the engine.
It seems as though the fence charger and the piece of shit lawnmower were fighting over who would control my electrical impulses.
Science says you cannot crap, pee, and vomit at the same time. I beg to differ. Not only did I do all three at once, but my bowels emptied 3 different times in less than half of a second. It was a Matrix kind of bowel movement, where time is creeping along and you're all leaned back and BAM BAM BAM you just crap your pants 3 times. It seemed like there were minutes in between, but in reality it was so close together it was like exhaust pulses from a big block Chevy turning 8 grand.
At this point I'm about 30 minutes (maybe 2 seconds) into holding onto the fence wire. My hand is wrapped around the wire palm down, so I can't let go. I grew up on a farm so I know all about electric fences .... but Dad always had those piece of shit chargers made by International, or whoever that were like 9 volts and just kinda tickled.
This one I could not let go of. The 8 foot long ground rod is now accepting signals from me through the permadamp Ark-La-Tex river bottom soil. At this point I'm thinking I'm going to have to just man up and take it, until the lawnmower runs out of gas......
'Damn!,' I think, as I remember I just filled the tank!
Now the lawnmower is starting to run rough. It has settled into a loping run pattern as if it had some kind of big lawnmower race cam in it. Covered in poop, pee, and with my vomit on my chest I think 'Oh God please die ... Pleeeeze die'. But nooooo, it settles into the rough lumpy cam idle nicely and remains there, like a big bore roller cam EFI motor waiting for the go command from its owner's right foot..
So here I am in the middle of July, 104 degrees, 80% humidity, standing in my own backyard, begging God to kill me. God did not take me that day ... He left me there covered in my own fluids to writhe in the misery my own stupidity had created.
I honestly don't know how I got loose from the wire ...
I woke up laying on the ground hours later. The lawnmower was beside me, out of gas. It was later on in the day and I was sunburned.
There were two large dead grass spots where I had been standing and then another long skinny dead spot where the wire had laid while I was on the ground still holding on to it. I assume I finally had a seizure and in the resulting thrashing had somehow let go of the wire.
Upon waking from my electrically induced sleep I realized a few things:
1- Three of my teeth seem to have melted.
2- I now have cramps in the bottoms of my feet and my right butt cheek (not the left, just the right).
3- Poop, pee, and vomit, when all mixed together, do not smell as bad as you might think.
4- My left eye will not open.
5- My right eye will not close.
6- The lawnmower runs like a sumbitch now. Seriously! I think our little session cleared out some carbon fouling or something, because it was better than new after that.
7- My nuts are still smaller than average yet they are almost a foot long.
8- I can turn on the TV in the game room by farting while thinking of the number 4 (still don't understand this ??).
That day changed my life. I now have a newfound respect for things. I appreciate the little things more and now I always triple check to make sure the fence is unplugged before I mow.
The good news is that if a burglar does try to come over the fence, I can clearly visualize what my security system will do to him and THAT gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling all over, which also reminds me to triple check before I mow.

The Chili Contest
Posted on September 18, 2008, 4:50 pm, by RT Cunningham, under Email Jokes and Other Humor. My name is Frank and recently I was honored to be selected as an outstanding Famous Celebrity in Texas, to be a judge at a chili cook-off, mostly because no one else wanted to do it. Also the original person called in sick at the last moment, and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking directions to the beer wagon when the call came. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy, and besides they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted.
Here are the scorecards from the event:
Chili # 1: Mike's Maniac Mobster Monster Chili
JUDGE ONE: A little too heavy on tomato. Amusing kick. JUDGE TWO: Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild. FRANK: Holy shit, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway with it. Took me two beers to put the flames out. Hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy.
Chili # 2: Arthur's Afterburner Chili
JUDGE ONE: Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight Jalapeno tang. JUDGE TWO: Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously. FRANK: Keep this out of reach of children! I'm not sure what I am supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to walkie-talkie in 3 extra beers when they saw the look on my face.
Chili # 3: Fred's Famous Burn Down the Barn Chili
JUDGE ONE: Excellent firehouse chili! Great kick. Needs more beans. JUDGE TWO: A beanless chili, a bit salty, good use of red peppers. FRANK: Call the EPA, I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now. Barmaid pounded me on the back; now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting shit-faced.
Chili # 4: Bubba's Black Magic
JUDGE ONE: Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing. JUDGE TWO: Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili. FRANK: I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Sally, the bar maid, was standing behind me with fresh refills; that bitch is starting to look HOT, just like this nuclear-waste I'm eating.
Chili # 5: Linda's Legal Lip Remover
JUDGE ONE: Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive. JUDGE TWO: Chili using shredded beef; could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.. FRANK: My ears are ringing, and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from a pitcher. It really pisses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Fuck those rednecks!
Chili # 6: Vera's Very Vegetarian Variety
JUDGE ONE: Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spice and peppers. JUDGE TWO: The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb. FRANK: My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric flames. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that slut Sally. I need to wipe my ass with a snow cone!
Chili # 7: Susan's Screaming Sensation
JUDGE ONE: A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers. JUDGE TWO: Ho Hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. I should note that I am worried about Frank. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably. FRANK: You could put a fucking grenade in my mouth, pull the fucking pin, and I wouldn't feel a damn thing. I've lost the sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili which slid unnoticed out of my fucking mouth. My pants are full of lava-like shit to match my goddamn shirt. At least during the autopsy they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing, it's too painful. Fuck it, I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the fucking four inch hole in my stomach.
Chili # 8: Helen's Mount Saint Chili
JUDGE ONE: A perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili, safe for all, not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence. JUDGE TWO: This final entry is a good, balanced chili, neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Frank passed out, fell and pulled the chili pot on top of himself. Not sure if he's going to make it.

i wonder when george bush will be blamed for michael jacksons death. with cradle to grave obama health care, the journey may not be as long as we thought it was going to be. with adding 47,000,000 people to the health care system to lower costs, i believe this is the reason the mormons have so much money. heck they have been ahead of the curve for 150 years. i am going out and get me another wife and have three or four more kids.life is great. i didnt know the road to finacial success was so easy and of course the fun of making all of those kids. by the way if you see the bw,thats beautiful wife for those who dont know what a bw is, dont mention my plan for more wifes and kids. she may fail to see the humor in the plan. very narrow minded on her part.

Terry- some people ck in every once in awhile- differnt classes- seem to have had close relationships through and then even after school. The class of 61 has a pretty tight knit group that stays in touch constantly and they have great class reunions. Our class of 66 is not as close as others and each class needs to have a core group that keeps it together. It seems to work best when the class officers etc. take charge. they seem to know and influence the most members. Our class has had a lot of people take on the task of making a reunion. I suspect as the 50 yr reunion approaches for class of 63 that things will come together. Who were your class officers? Where is Don Montgomery? Where is Rick Englewoman? Who was the best looking girl in your class? Did the band win any awards in 63? How come you didn't play on the varsity basketball team? I stay in contact with Ron Dillow- and Rick Edwards. Tell me some of the worst things that the class of 63 ever did....... paint the water tower in speedway? that's it? I do like that Bush- Mike Jackson thing. LOL Oh! I know- get on facebook and find some of them 63ers.

I'm one of those occasional "ck-in-ers". Our class seems to have gone its separate ways. Donna Pflum Nolan (Lloyd,or classmate) Sanders (Don, our Classmate) arranged a mini-reunion in 2005. There Donna, Lloyd's widow, spent some time chatting with Don. A few months later they were married.
Best-looking girl is a very subjective thing. I thought Joyce Frederick was gorgeous. Bonnie Clarke was, too. Better yet, both were good people. Bonnie passed in 2002. Sad story.
Class officers? Did we have any class officers?
Saw Ron Dillow at a Class of 64 reunion to which other classes were invited. Good guy, seemingly unchanged. On the frosh football team, we called him "Proxie", because he'd chosen the wrong time to let some chick peroxide his hair.
We were a pretty quiet class, really. We still believed in things. When a great number of us were college freshmen, Kennedy was killed. The whole world changed, and nothing was ever again as settled.
Okay, I admit it: two glasses of Cabernet have led to the above "eloquence".
I've exchanged a note or two with Charlie LaFara. I will never forget the announcement a couple weeks before graduation, read aloud by Mr. Dickison in Mech. Drawing, stating that Charlie was not to be issued any more corridor passes. "We want Charlie to graduate," the announcement ended, to raucous laughter (all guys, remember).
Rick Edwards sent a picture. Still looked like Rick.
Donna-Sue Roark (now Donna Darlage) has had a lot of health problems over the years and is still dealing with some now. Haven't emailed her in a few weeks. I'll have to do that.
David Paino lives in Philly and fronts the "Just His" gospel quartet. Dave is still Dave.
I hate the idea of Facebook, but I admit I'd like to see how things turned out for people.
Bill Hausman, '62, died a Feb. of 2003, after lung cancer surgery.
On that bright note, I'm gone. ROMF.

Correction: Bill Hausman was in the Class of '64. I blame the two glasses of Cabernet. Or Burgundy. I'll have to look at the box.

We could not stop the run without Sanders, and we seemingly had no clue how their Wildcat offense worked. Therefore, Pennington passed in critical situations. Huh? I told my wife after one bonehead call, "If we win, it'll be because of their stupid play calling -- because we don't have a clue against the run." It seems to me that we benefited from that, as much as we benefited from having one of the great QBs of all time.

i am all for trading sanders, getting rid of his salary and getting 1or2 players for the same money that can play more than 5 games a year. he must be getting paid a 100,000 dollars a tackle no more than he plays.

I dunno, Terry. Your comments make a lot of sense, and yet... You can play only 11 at a time. And Sanders, when healthy, is like having 12 or 13 out there. And he gets hurt because he's in on EVERYTHING.
This will be a great game tonight. I retired from the FAA in STL, and Warner was the guy for his first MVP there. Of course, Indy is my roots and it's my home. One for the ages, I hope.
But I wish Sanders was out there. Enjoy the game!

Terry: We will be bring the van over sometime this afternoon. Then when we bring the truck over Wed. evening we will pick up the Van. Please! Check the brakes and try to turn off the engine light.
Also: Lorraine Howald from BD class of 64 on the 65 BB..May Call........ She has a 2003 Ford Taraus. The heater core may be leaking. She says there is water in the floor on the Pass. side. A dealer told her the Taraus has been known for a windsheild leak. Lorraine is also having a problem with the air compressor. The dealer said the compressor had a front seal leak. I suggested she call you. You are better than a dealer Call me if you need to. 8580778 Rick

John Villegas, from the class of '67, sent me a photo his sister took of the inside of Lucas Stadium. It has a huge window where you can see downtown. Here is the original photo, and then a version I tweaked for a bit more contrast: http://danhughes.net/images/lucas.htmEnjoy!

i have season tickets to the colts,so i know what iam talking about. i swear i could have done a better job of designing lucas oil stadium in one night and a half a bottle of gin. that is absolutely the worst building to try and get around in that i have ever been in short of market sq. the building was designed for the suites and not the masses.but the big screen tvs are something special. the biggest waste of money is the roof.unlike a true open stadium the wind and the sun is and cannot be wright. it is always too cold or too hot when it is open. but other than that the place is ok for over priced gov. run buildings. and what a special place to put it.someday they may actually get paved roads and sidewalks in place, houses with doors and windows and all of the 70s and 80s cars hauled away. but most important of all is how about them colts 7 and 0

Haven't been to the new stadium. But from what I have seen, it doesn't fit the bill. I was not impressed with the Hoosier Dome. It seems they just do not go big enough. But I am happy we have the stadium here. I do enjoy the Colts. How bout them Colts!!!!!!!
So how is my truck? Any chance to look at it? Just asking!

Veterans Day was a very good day. I went with students from Crosspointe Baptist Academy. The teacher ask me and our Vets to speak to the kids and march in the parade downtown.( Mary Jo, I heard you were down there thanks for being there. It would have been fun to say Hi!) Anyway; It was very moving for me. The military wife and mother that gave her testimony was very moving also. It behoves us to thank them for the sacrifice of a normal life they give up for these men and women to go fight for our freedom. There is a lady (Major Jennifer Parham)in our church that is in Kuwait. Her husband has the same kind of problems as the mother I talked about above. The mom has 3 boys the man has 2 teenage daughters. If you know someone like that, offer a helping hand, or at least offer a hand of thanksgiving for their sacrifice.
