Terry- some people ck in every once in awhile- differnt classes- seem to have had close relationships through and then even after school. The class of 61 has a pretty tight knit group that stays in touch constantly and they have great class reunions. Our class of 66 is not as close as others and each class needs to have a core group that keeps it together. It seems to work best when the class officers etc. take charge. they seem to know and influence the most members. Our class has had a lot of people take on the task of making a reunion.
I suspect as the 50 yr reunion approaches for class of 63 that things will come together.
Who were your class officers?
Where is Don Montgomery?
Where is Rick Englewoman?
Who was the best looking girl in your class?
Did the band win any awards in 63?
How come you didn't play on the varsity basketball team?
I stay in contact with Ron Dillow- and Rick Edwards.
Tell me some of the worst things that the class of 63 ever did....... paint the water tower in speedway? that's it?
I do like that Bush- Mike Jackson thing. LOL
Oh! I know- get on facebook and find some of them 63ers.

I'm one of those occasional "ck-in-ers". Our class seems to have gone its separate ways. Donna Pflum Nolan (Lloyd,or classmate) Sanders (Don, our Classmate) arranged a mini-reunion in 2005. There Donna, Lloyd's widow, spent some time chatting with Don. A few months later they were married.

Best-looking girl is a very subjective thing. I thought Joyce Frederick was gorgeous. Bonnie Clarke was, too. Better yet, both were good people. Bonnie passed in 2002. Sad story.

Class officers? Did we have any class officers?

Saw Ron Dillow at a Class of 64 reunion to which other classes were invited. Good guy, seemingly unchanged. On the frosh football team, we called him "Proxie", because he'd chosen the wrong time to let some chick peroxide his hair.

We were a pretty quiet class, really. We still believed in things. When a great number of us were college freshmen, Kennedy was killed. The whole world changed, and nothing was ever again as settled.

Okay, I admit it: two glasses of Cabernet have led to the above "eloquence".

I've exchanged a note or two with Charlie LaFara. I will never forget the announcement a couple weeks before graduation, read aloud by Mr. Dickison in Mech. Drawing, stating that Charlie was not to be issued any more corridor passes. "We want Charlie to graduate," the announcement ended, to raucous laughter (all guys, remember).

Rick Edwards sent a picture. Still looked like Rick.

Donna-Sue Roark (now Donna Darlage) has had a lot of health problems over the years and is still dealing with some now. Haven't emailed her in a few weeks. I'll have to do that.

David Paino lives in Philly and fronts the "Just His" gospel quartet. Dave is still Dave.

I hate the idea of Facebook, but I admit I'd like to see how things turned out for people.

Bill Hausman, '62, died a Feb. of 2003, after lung cancer surgery.

On that bright note, I'm gone. ROMF.

Correction: Bill Hausman was in the Class of '64. I blame the two glasses of Cabernet. Or Burgundy. I'll have to look at the box.

We could not stop the run without Sanders, and we seemingly had no clue how their Wildcat offense worked. Therefore, Pennington passed in critical situations. Huh? I told my wife after one bonehead call, "If we win, it'll be because of their stupid play calling -- because we don't have a clue against the run." It seems to me that we benefited from that, as much as we benefited from having one of the great QBs of all time.

i am all for trading sanders, getting rid of his salary and getting 1or2 players for the same money that can play more than 5 games a year. he must be getting paid a 100,000 dollars a tackle no more than he plays.

I dunno, Terry. Your comments make a lot of sense, and yet... You can play only 11 at a time. And Sanders, when healthy, is like having 12 or 13 out there. And he gets hurt because he's in on EVERYTHING.

This will be a great game tonight. I retired from the FAA in STL, and Warner was the guy for his first MVP there. Of course, Indy is my roots and it's my home. One for the ages, I hope.

But I wish Sanders was out there. Enjoy the game!

Terry:
We will be bring the van over sometime this afternoon. Then when we bring the truck over Wed. evening we will pick up the Van.
Please! Check the brakes and try to turn off the engine light.

Also: Lorraine Howald from BD class of 64 on the 65 BB..May Call........ She has a 2003 Ford Taraus. The heater core may be leaking. She says there is water in the floor on the Pass. side. A dealer told her the Taraus has
been known for a windsheild leak.
Lorraine is also having a problem with the air compressor.
The dealer said the compressor had a front seal leak.
I suggested she call you. You are better than a dealer
Call me if you need to. 8580778 Rick

John Villegas, from the class of '67, sent me a photo his sister took of the inside of Lucas Stadium. It has a huge window where you can see downtown. Here is the original photo, and then a version I tweaked for a bit more contrast:

Enjoy!

i have season tickets to the colts,so i know what iam talking about. i swear i could have done a better job of designing lucas oil stadium in one night and a half a bottle of gin. that is absolutely the worst building to try and get around in that i have ever been in short of market sq. the building was designed for the suites and not the masses.but the big screen tvs are something special. the biggest waste of money is the roof.unlike a true open stadium the wind and the sun is and cannot be wright. it is always too cold or too hot when it is open. but other than that the place is ok for over priced gov. run buildings. and what a special place to put it.someday they may actually get paved roads and sidewalks in place, houses with doors and windows and all of the 70s and 80s cars hauled away. but most important of all is how about them colts 7 and 0

Haven't been to the new stadium. But from what I have seen, it doesn't fit the bill. I was not impressed with the Hoosier Dome. It seems they just do not go big enough. But I am happy we have the stadium here. I do enjoy the Colts. How bout them Colts!!!!!!!

So how is my truck? Any chance to look at it? Just asking!
