Howdy Gang I was sent a message to check out the forum board, I can see why now I am here reading the reports. There is interesting reports of unknown objects, plus I just read about home made Chinese lanterns as well. I can tell you for sure that there are stacks and stacks of orange/red light sightings, most of these sightings were and still are taking place in the UK. But this year more of these sighting are turning up here in Canada (eastern parts) and in the United States. Many of the orange light sightings have turned out to be lanterns, no question about it, but there are still many that I can't figure out what they were. The object just acted to weird in alot of different ways. Like Jeff Rense mentioned, please do get your sighting reports into me so we can try to figure out what it is flying around up there, plus chances are there will be others who saw the same thing and will file a report as well. Just go to our main page at http://www.sightings.com/ and use the Sightings.com UFO form to file your report, or you are welcome to send then to me directly at sighting@telus.net Thanks a bunch and as the webmaster said, keep your eyes to the sky. Lots going on. Brian Vike Email: sighting@telus.net

Keep up the good work folks by keeping your heads to the sky!
Remember though, we need photos/pics/video of these sightings. Keep your cell phone cameras and other recording devices charged and at the ready just in case. The best way to keep your cool during these events is just to remember my #1 rule regarding a Close Encounter:
#1.) NEVER get excited regarding a UFO sighting or encounter.
That drill will keep you level headed and not open to surprises and mistakes.

In the US there appears to be a lot of homemade 'chinese lanterns' being released, and stringing them together in unique formations and/or with additional LEDs (now cheaply and easily powered by tiny flat batteries no bigger than a dime and which are extremely light weight) the appearance can be quite different from what one would expect from just a common "bag" type hot-air lantern effect. It's still good to report all these sightings -- more data always helps in deciphering the mystery. I've done all sorts of 'bag' lanterns in the past using everything from birthday candles on an "X" of kite sticks with a jumbo green hefty bag (makes for a glowing green pulsing glob that eventually morphs into a burning green mass dropping smaller bits as candles and bits of bag burn up). Amazing what the shifting, vaulting winds can make a light weight hot-air object do 2-3000 feet up. They seem to make maneuvers that seem impossible. Tall clear dry cleaning bags on a gloomy foggy night can look like enormously bright glowing lights and if string together in a circle, for a while they look convincingly like a saucer.

Is this a mass ops program? I was at a mufon meeting today talking with others who saw ufo's on the 4th. My report is on mufon. We were talking about some things from Rense and just searching, I found this forum, after reading about the orange lights. I saw 15 of them and I really have a hard time believing that these are lanterns. When they went out, we...4 of us... saw blinking lights around the outside of what looked like a rectangle with points. It seemed to change shape. Before we saw them fly over us we saw them shoot up into the sky and hover in a v formation. This was on the way to the fireworks. I live near Redstone in Huntsville, AL, and their were 113 sightings on mufon and more on other sites from this area. Makes me want to get some orange lanterns and set them off and see if that was what we saw. Some were saying today that Redstone has underground bases that they test these black op craft...however, they are everwhere. SO has anyone set off these lanterns to verify that it was that?

At 5:45am I looked to the southwest from my northwest suburban Chicago home. Between the trees a brightly illuminated fluorescent disc object made two circles in the sky. If I were pressed to describe this further, I would say that the circles were more parallel to the ground surface than perpendicular. The light looked still in the sky when I first noticed it and then it circled and then quickly it dropped straight down out of the sky. It initially reminded me of one of those advertising/beacon/searchlights; but I didn't see the streak of light normally associated with the source. The whole event probably lasted about five seconds.

At roughly 9:45pm in Greenwood, IN we observed what looked like balls of fire falling from the sky South of us in Franklin. There were about 8 and they lit up the entire sky. We jumped in the car a drove that way still able to see the glowing objects. As we got closer they disappeared. I've never seen anything like it. No news stories to explain the objects in the sky and definitely not street/building lights.

They are satellites. There are several companies that have short range satellites in the lower atmosphere for several different communications. Same Sats that GPS ties into. Cell phone satellites are much higher, smaller and harder to see.

These STAR u.f.o`s are not just common in Canada and the states. They are everywhere. I have no idea what they are?? I live In the U.K, Cheltenham Gloucestershire (Google map it!!). Only a few miles from G.C.H.Q. I know they are a communications hub but of no interest. We had an amazing sighting of 3 individual "stars" coming from the S.W traveling E.N.E one night one stopped and remained stationary until morning it only caught my eye cos it did a sharp right hand turn south, the I.S.S and sat.s don`t turn or stop etc. They are there too far away to be credibly photographed. But low enough for us to see. A good program is STELLARIUM :/www.stellarium.org It has a Satellite plug in so you can I.D the man made etc. Keep watching the sky.

its very interesting the amount of people that have been seeing star shaped lights flying over different parts of canada , they all seem to have simular storys aswell. i myself have seen these objects over 17 times at least, was talking to a buddy from the gym other day aswell he lives on the outskirts of our town so he has greater visibility of the night sky then where i am .anyways he discribed the exact same star shaped lights he also discribed how they seem to get real bright at times then dim right down and takes off at very fast speeds in a swirving formation. now i see alot of the sightings on here that are like these ones happen to be from ontario, canada so im wondering if it might be crafts from the base in northern newyork where they are said to have been working on reverse engineering . let me know your thoughts or post if you have seen the same sort of star shaped objects
