Morning everyone and welcome to the new Class of 64 BB. I've been a regular member of the Class of 65 BB for several years now. All I can say is they adopted me and I was glad to join. However it would be good to hear from all my fellow BDH'rs (is that a word?) I enjoy hearing what everyone is doing now, where they live and matters of their families and lives. Hope you all will join in. How I'll have two BBs to chat on. Come on and join in!

Oh, I forgot, I guess maybe I should identify myself. I was Lorraine Miller in HS and lived on Girls School Road. I went to BD for grade school, jr high and high school. Had some senior classes in the same room I attended first grade in. That was weird. I was married to David Howald of the class of 65 for thirty years. Unfortunately that marriage crashed and burned due to no fault of my own. I left Indy in 1966 when I married and moved to Brazil, IN which is just east of Terre Haute. I was a stay at home mom for many years but went back to work in 1985, been working ever since. I have two grown sons and three grandchildren, with a new one on the way in Sept. I have worked in both the accounting and legal fields. Now work for Thompson Thrift Development in TH. Thus the TT after my name. I sometimes post from home and that's a different name. OK, that's a short version. Talk People!

Hello Class of '64'. Hope the word gets around to all graduates of '64' about this board. My name is Ben Townsend. I'm referred to as Mr. T on the other class boards. Maybe some of you will remember me. I taught Biology at Ben Davis HS from 1962-1970. I think most of you had graduated when I started dissecting sharks, pigs, & cats in Biology 3&4. I moved to Mesa, AZ in 1970. I completed my teaching career in 1995. I've been retired for 14 years. Enjoying golf, bowling, walking, pool, nowadays. Presently, I'm single. I've lost two wives to cancer over the last 6 years. Join in the fun & pass the word to any BD graduates that you are in contact with. Mr. T

Wow, Class of '64 gets a board. Thanks, Dan. Hi everybody! I'm Helen Neal O'Connell, a graduate of '65. I should have graduated in '64, but my exchange teacher from England (Miss Crowe) thought I should take the 6th grade over again, which was humiliating. I made new friends, tho, and got through it. I worked at Indiana Bell right after I graduated in '65 for a year, then my life changed a little. I got pregnant, had to give my baby up for adoption, but found him again years later. (Click this link to read all about it: http://bdhs65.com/neal/helennealstory.htm ) Got married in 1973, moved to Detroit in 1975, had 2 beautiful children, Barbie in 1978, and Brian in 1981. Got a job at a car wash in 1990, divorced in 1998, and met my present...how do you say it now a days...boyfriend, lover, companion, life partner, and just retired in June 2008. There you have it in a nutshell. Hope to hear from you all. Welcome aboard.

Hi Folks I should have graduated in 63 but in the 2nd grade my parents moved 9 time and my records were lost. So I had to do 2nd grade again. I married Fayrene E. Smith class of 65 in April 66. This April 30th will be 43 years. We were in the Air Force and lived in Germany and Arizona during that time. Came back to Indy in 69 and finished out 30 years with Indiana Bell, while Kitten went to school to be a cosmetologist. We have 2 children: Steve, 40, married and has 4 kids. Kathy was 26 when she went home to be with the Lord. Her husband and 3 girls remarried and live in West Virginia. We are now semi retired and snow birding in Tarpon Springs, Fl. Glad to be here, I mostly lurk on the 65 BB, now I can lurk on here also Thanks Dan I mean Arnold.

Mr T. At some time we must have been in Arizona at the same time. We were there from May of 68 till Aug. of 69. I knew of you in school. I think you subbed in our biology class for Mr. Fine once or twice. It would have been nice to know you better and did some things in AZ. We were at Williams A.F.Base. I hear it is closed now and is just a small airport. We have a couple of mutual good friends. Charlie Hunt 65 and Kenny Cox. Charlie and I go back to the 8th grade as friends. And I have known Kenny since the 4th grade at Fleming Garden. We became good friends in the 80's while our kids went to BD and Kitten worked for Ken's wife Fern.
Thought of you today driving down the road in Clearwater. There is a beach on a causeway going into the airport. It's name is Ben "T." Davis Memorial beach. I thought you would get a smile out of that Take care.

Greetings Rick Cox:
Good to hear from you Rick. I was visiting AZ in 1969, but didn't move here until 1970 when I landed a teaching job at Westwood HS. Williams closed as an Air Force Base in the early 90's. Nowadays, it is part of Arizona State University. It's a rapidly growing (not much is rapidly growing in this day & age) municipal airport with multiple flights leaving for destinations all over the US. The name of the airport is Williams Gateway. I play the golf course (Toka Sticks-owned & operated by the Gila Indian Tribe) many times a year. I've seen Charlie Hunt on some of my return visits to Indy. I'm still very close to Mr. Cox & wife Fern. They come to AZ for baseball spring training. Mr. Cox is not very healthy right now but he still stays fairly active. Many x-students worked for Fern at Bodacious Boxers over the years. Fern still does a few things in that arena. They moved from Avon to Plainfield a few years ago. Well Rick, that's about it from AZ. This is my 39th year in AZ & I like it more every year. Glad you found the site. Have fun visiting with your friends. There are some great stories shared here everyday. Ben "T" Davis Memorial Beach did bring a smile to my face. Later!! Mr. T

Many postcards were returned after the first mailing of the 1964 reunion notice. What does anybody think about me posting the names of the classmates whom do not have contact information as well as names of those postcards which were returned? I thought this might be helpful in obtaining new address, etc. What are your thoughts?

Hi all, Bob Fall here. Well 45 years since our graduation. In some ways it it is hard to believe and in other ways it seems like another lifetime ago. After graduation I was given an all expense paid trip to Germany (at least it was not Vetnam) by our friend Uncle Sam. Janet and I have been married for 41 years. Some may remember Janet as she worked at the Park n Eat. Janet retired from USAirways and I retired from the "Bank Of Many Names". For most the 35 years it was Indiana National Bank. I had a great work experience at the Bank. Both of our lives have been truely blessed. God has been so good to us. God is a big part of our lives. We attend Shepherd Commuity Church on east Washington Street. Shepherd has a great community outreach. We enjoy Shepherd very much. We usaully spend Oct. thru April in Surprise AZ a sub of Phoenix. Enjoying the warm weather. The cold weather in Indy was never a joy of mine. Since retirement we have been traveling in our RV. Enough about us. Thanks for putting this web site together. Until later, Bob

Hi there evryone Kenny Faulkner from Garden City Elementary. I have recently made contact with old BDHS classmates: Jeff Gehle, Bob Fall David Grider, Judy and Ray Mckenzie, Darrell Morgan Who ever thought I would marry a girl from Plainfield, but I did, 42 yrs ago this August, she was a student nurse from Marion County General, Wishard now. I spent 3 yrs military in Germany and then off to Minnesota and those cold winters for 28yrs and now in Naples, Fl. We have a 37yr old son, who lives in Orlando with his family which includes two little girls 4 and 6. They are pretty lucky they say because they live by Mickey Mouse. I use to stay in touch with Bruce Allison but no longer, still see Don Gummer on TV once in awhile. Do not know if I will make it to Indy in August, time will tell. Kenny!!

Hey Kenny, I remember you from the band. Now in Naples, FL heh? My folks lived in Ft. Myers since 1971 until their deaths (Dad in 1990 and Mom in 2003) Both are buried there. Ft. Myers area is one of my most favorite areas. I've traveled all over the world, but the Ft Myers area beaches cannot be beat. To come over that bridge and at the very top look out and see the expanse of the gulf is one of the greatest sites around. You are so fortunate to be living there. I contemplated moving there after the divorce but decided I didn't want to leave my boys and live that far away.

Hey, there, everyone! (and especially Kenny Faulkner) After a number of years in various cities and towns in Indiana and Illinois, I and my wife of five years, Linda, ar living in Speedway about four miles from where I grew up on Cossell Drive. I am celebrating (?) 35 years as a small college and high school football referee. My current crew includes my little brother. I work with autistic kids at Decatur Central High School. Joe Preda's son, Joe, is the principal there. Small world, huh? I hope to see some of you in August

Hi all..I live in Nashville...yeah Indiana, have not moved very far. I try, at the moment, to make a living (okay at least pay for my hobby) as an artist. Never dreamed I would live in a rural area. I have traveled all over the world, and love it. Have 2 kids: My son is in the Navy and at the moment in VA. He has given me 3 grandchildren. So I have forgiven him all his teen years. My daughter lives in DC and loves the big city life. Looking forward to the reunion this year. Does anyone know about Steve Bortz, Ray Yockey, Steven Hughes? I do not think they graduated with us.. Hi everyone! I'm Charlene (Purpura) Aton, class of '64. Does anyone remember those "clubs" we formed in HS? I was a member of the Gamma Gals or was it Girls. Hey, Sharon Shake, Ellen Carnes...et al, I know you do! I retired.January 1, 2002, from Delta Air Lines after 35 years. Because of 911, a early-out retirement package was offered that I couldn't resist. Before the ink was dry on the retirement papers, I applied at the IRS (If you can't lick 'em....join 'em). I have been there 7 years now, as a GS-7 Tax Examiner, although I don't "examine taxes". I am divorcing after 30 years of marriage and have a daughter, 26 years old. Yeah, I know, I started late. Not as late as Rick Voight, however. I left Indy in 1980 for Denver Colorado; lived there until 1987, then moved to Cincinnati. Looking forward to see all of you at the 45th!

Good morning, everybody. It is a beautiful day outside. There have been some changes to the missing classmates page. Some added and some found. Please check out the page to see if you know where someone is. http://danhughesbooks.com/1964missing.htm. I have found a couple of people with the help of others. I really appreciate their help. This has been quite a job since I took on this endeavor. Someone said I missed my calling and that I should start a service, make money for it, in finding people. Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Well, I needed to get this information out to all who know me - my day may have started out as a beautiful day, but it did not end that way. Sometime this evening while my husband was napped, he passed away. He had been sick a couple of days, but refused to go to the doctor or hospital. My three sons have surrounded me, but they are in shock as well, so they need their friends. My twin brother, Lowell, is spending the night with me. Please or please keep Vic in your prayers as well as prayers for my strength.

I can not find my Keyhole but when I do we will all be 18 again, wouldn"t that be nice. Hello Bil Carter, how are you doing? I do not what to know how old David in now, but tell me anyway. Everyday I look on these website I find some familiar names. Hello Ruth Kelly, David Grider sent me the picture of our 8th grade class in front of the Old Red Brick Garden City School. I think Mrs Hoffa smiled. MY my Denise Hopwood how are you? It has been a while. I emailed a Sharon Wright but it was the wrong one. We only have to find Donna Dennis, Shirley Hunley and the Lucas kids and we will have the whole block back together. All of you send me an email to catch up kduck32@gmail.com it was 84* today in Naples Fl. A lot of us have joined Facebook, the Ben Davis crowd is growing. Rick Voight, you hear there is a Westlake Reunion coming up. Be there.

Kenny Faulkner, You may remember me, my sister Jackie dated Stan in high school. I am inferring that you are in Naples, FL. I have lived in Sarasota for the past 3 1/2 years. Carolyn Heath's restaurant is re-opening on March 28th here in Sarasota. I hope we can get the word out for a party / reunion for the classes of '64, '65, '66, and anybody else that wants to join in before the "snowbirds" head back north.

Are there any "Clermont" people on this site? I went to BD my freshman year before I had to move away but all of my friends stayed at BD. I would like to get in touch with them. During our time of sorrow at losing my husband, we, the boys and I, learned how much our friends mean to us. I wanted to let you know just how much your kindness and sympathy was so greatly appreciated and will always be remembered by my family. It is at a time like this that we realize how important friends are. Your thoughtfulness did so much to ease our sorrow.

Jackie, for what it's worth, I lived in Pinecrest, but I moved there about the time you left.
I'm in the '65 class, and I went to the 2nd half of 8th grade at Clermont - Mr. Kelly was principal, and I think my homeroom teacher's names was Mr. Harmon - a rather gruff fellow?
I remember the English teacher offered the class extra credit if they attended a revival meeting at one of the local churches. Can you imagine how that would go over nowadays?

Two stories about Mr. Harmon, still fresh in my mind after 48 years:
1. I remember how outraged he was when the Marcels' doo-wop version of Blue Moon was a hit. (Remember that song? "Dingy-dong-ding-blue moon....) He thought that what they did to a beautiful Frank Sinatra classic was just horrible.
2. He came back from lunch one fall day, madder than blazes. He drove a sports car convertible, and he had his top down, and there was a bit of snow just starting, and he got stopped by two motorcycle cops for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. One of the cops said to the other, "What kind of an idiot drives with his top down when it's snowing?" And Mr. Harmon said to him, "The same kind that rides a motorcycle when it's snowing." They wrote him a ticket in record time.

"Old Charlie" stories. 1)In the 8th grade, Clermont, Westlake, and Bridgeport had a combined football team. Charlie told us the night before our first game to not shower so that we could play offensive football.
2)He told the line that he wanted us to play like ExLax and open up a hole.
3)After college, George Porter and I were attending a sports car rally with the HCSCC (Hendricks County Sports Car Club). Charlie was very involved in that club. We were guests and not members. We won the rally and took the trophy that he had wanted. He asked "Where did you bas***ds learn to be such bas***ds?" Moomer (Porter) and I simultaneously replied that we had learned that at Fulton, but we couldn't remember which class it was that he taught.
He was a really great guy; a bit rough, but a great guy.

OK, I'm another Clermont person from the Class of '65. (Hi, Dan!) I was in Mr. Harmon's history class and homeroom, and had Mr. Kelly for math and science in the eight grade. While I think most kids liked Mr. Harmon, he actually scared the bejesus out of me! But then, EVERYBODY scared me when I was in the eighth grade. Hehe. My bro was held back in the 4th grade, so that put us in the same class until high school, and that made things very uncomfortable for me. Mr. Harmon use to call on my brother to answer a question in history class, and when he couldn't answer it, Mr. Harmon would say, "I'll bet your little sister over here can answer that!" Well, if I COULD have, I couldn't then! I just went BLANK! It was soooo embarrassing! And since my bro was always getting into trouble, Mr. Kelly was given instructions by my Daddy to give him a call when Ron got into trouble at school. If he got paddled at school (can you imagine how that would "fly" today?), he got another one when he got home. That English teacher that gave the extra credit for attending church was Pat Bishop, and she belonged to my church, the Clermont Christian Church. As many churches did back then, there was a week-long Revival every year, so I remember when Ms. Bishop had asked the class to come for Youth Night. I sang in the choir so would have been there anyway, but it was amazing how many kids she convinced to come that night! She got people from Mr. Harmon's "moron corner," like my brother and Varner Hightshue and a lot of other guys who caused trouble in class. As I recall, she DID have the most visitors that night! Never been on this website before, but what fun to read about some of our teachers! Best wishes to all!

Jackie, I sent Classmates notes to 126 members of the class of '64.
Of those, I received 5 replies.
29 others read my note but did not answer it.
And 91 people never looked at it.
I think that everyone can read and reply to notes from paying members. The problem is that a lot of people have their spam filters set so that they never see the Classmates messages.
And a lot of people signed up for Classmates years ago, having since changed internet companies and email addresses and never updated with Classmates, so our messages hit dead ends. And Classmates won't tell us which notes came back to them as No Such Address.

Hi, Jackie! Hey, do I know you? What was your maiden name? Yes, Varner and my bro were both held back, and in many of my classes. I avoided BOTH as much as I could, but hard to avoid a brother that goes home with you. Haha. Yes, I remember Miss Bishop singing at church, too. She was my favorite grade school teacher until I had Miss Dennison after Miss Bishop moved on. I worked in the English Dept. office in high school for Miss Dennison/Mrs. Speicher typing up the tests, and grading the papers. The boys were always trying to get the answers to the questions from me. Haha! Boys will be boys, right?!

Thanks for the information Dan. I hardly think that signing up as a gold member is worth the money if you can't get any messages through. Diana, I don't know if I know you or not. What year were you at Clermont? I went to Clermont all of my school years. I only went to BD my freshman year because we moved. My maiden name is McLeaster. We lived at 230 S. Tansel Rd. Now the post office is right across the street from that house. How long did you live in Clermont and where did you live? I really miss the small town atmosphere. I now live in Valrico, Florida. It is growing so fast here and the traffic is awful. I ended up going to Speedway HS my sophmere year, Howe HS my Junior year and Tech night school my senior year. I got married at 17. What a mistake that was. He was a very popular boy that went to Washington HS (when he went). I met him at the Westlake dances and also at the skating rink on Washington st. His hame was Jim Mundy. Do you know him?

Hi, again, Jackie! I went to Clermont schools thru 8th grade, too, but if you're from the Class of '64, then you were ahead of me a year. You probably knew people like Sandy Good and Kathy Burnell and some of those. I went to Fulton Jr. High my freshman year, the first year it was open, and then moved over to the old BDHS for sophomore thru senior years. But I attended the CCC from childhood thru high school so it's interesting that we never met there. I didn't live IN Clermont, but out along Hwy. 136 across the street from the old Dandy Trail, not the new one that connected to Country Club Rd. The old house is still there, but looks pretty bad. It's gone thru many transitions. I got married right out of high school, barely turned 18, and like you said, what a mistake that was! Seems like that's what we gals did back then, though, if we couldn't afford to go to college. I always marvel at the number of midwesterners who did the same thing, and are still together! Congrats to them! But the second time I got it right, and we've been in CA for 30 years now! No, I didn't know JM, but then, I didn't get out much back then. Hehehe.

Hi Diana, Yes I was in the class with Sandy Good and Kathy Burnell. I heard that Kathy was killed in an auto accident. Sandy Good lives near me somewhere in Florida but I don't know exactly where. I contacted her via classmates some years ago and she wrote me back but when I suggested to meet her for lunch, she didn't reply. My brother said she had a really bad marriage and that she has a disabled son. I guess my brother keeps in contact with her brother Jim. I sent Charlotte Nolan a message via classmates but no reply. I did find Steve Maines and he replied. He lives in Colorado and is a lawyer. Also Dick Jacks replied and he lived in Washington DC somewhere. That was years ago that I contacted them though. Where exactly was Fulton Jr. H?

Jackie '64: Yes, Kathy Burnell was killed in an automobile accident many years ago. It was really tragic since she was still so young. I sang in a trio with her and the preacher's daughter at church. Sure was a great gal! I knew Charlotte Nolan, too. She lived down old Dandy Trail just a couple of blocks from my house. She use to run around with my nextdoor neighbor, Carolyn Armstrong, Class of '63. I didn't know Steve Mains very well, although use to ride the schoolbus with his little brother Tim. The name Dick Jacks rings a bell, but can't place him. Fulton Jr. High School is at the corner of 10 St. and Girls' School Road. The new BDHS was built further up Girls' School Road. I never went there, but have been in the building a couple of times. Glad I got to "experience" the old BDHS!

Dan, I was reading your "autobiography" on your website. Very impressive. I focused in on the diet plan. I really need to loose about 80 pounds. Every time I loose weight, I gain double back. Anyway, is it possible to make up a yearbook for 1964? I looked like it took a lot of work for you but I sure would like to see one. I don't know whatever happened to my yearbook. I only had the BD one. My sister graduated in 1961.

Jackie, you asked if it is possible to make an internet yearbook for the class of '64. Yes, it's certainly possible, but it will take someone quite a bit of time. I made the '65 yearbook by scanning all the senior pictures, and putting them on a fairly simple website. I pay about $10 a year for the name ( http://bdhs65.com), and another $20 a year for the web space. I built it by hand using HTML, but now I do all the updates with a combination of FrontPage and hand coding with HTML. It's not too difficult, but it is quite time-consuming. If anyone from your class would like to do it, I'd be happy to help.

Bill Carter, You are a special person to work with autistic teenagers as this is the time of their life that should be so much fun. God's special children is what I call them when explaining to my grand daughter why they are so different. Jeff, you are so grown up that no one can ever tell how short you are. Be safe everyone and keep those memories coming.

Congratulations to Jeff for posting message number 100! And even more impressive, this board has been accessed over 1,500 times already!
Not bad for a board that started less than three weeks ago. And as more people find the board, the numbers will go up fast. Keep spreading the word!
Sharon, thanks for the kind words. I don't think I knew you in school - I was in the class of '65, and I was horribly shy, especially around girls. (I came out of my shell in college, when I started working in radio).
Think I'll set up a board for the '63 class. Anybody know any '63ers?

Well, we have a bunch of folks here from the Garden City group. Where are the folks that went to BD grade and when a school redistricting occurred, were transferred to Lora Rhodes? Then in the 7th and 8th grade it was back to BD Jr High. I went to 3 different schools and didn't move out of my house that I was growing up in on the 800 block of Norfolk. Is there anybody else out there that the redistricting affected their school? I would be fun if we could get a listing together of all the 1964 classmates and then group them together by which grade school they went to. Boy, that would be some undertaking.

Bill Carter, I grew up 2 doors from a David and Kenny Wills. I was wondering if your sister-in-law is any relation? When the family moved from Banner Ave., seems like they moved to Cadillac Drive there in Speedway. I've often wondered how they have been and if they are still with us. I remember so many of the names I'm seeing, but wouldn't recognize anyone now, I'm sure. I was also wondering if anyone knew the family of an Ellie Dost. My sister graduated with her in 1960 and I would like to locate her for my sister if I can. Can anyone help me on that?

Maureena, go to 411.com and type in "dost" and Indiana" in the White Pages search blocks, and you'll get three Dosts in Indianapolis and one in Brownsburg (and several others around the state). Call them and I'll bet you'll find Ellie.
There was a Dost in the class of '65, too - surely Ellie's little sister. (Her name was Maryke, but she went by Vickie). And we can't find her, either (but I haven't called any of those Dosts).
So if you find her, let me know. We could find Vickie too!

Maureena; SMALL WORLD!! Kenny & David are my cousins. They used to live on Fisher Ave in Speedway for probably over 50+ years. Before that they lived next to the fence at the Airport which was INSANE. They are all still here & doing well except their dad Glen who passed several years ago. They both still live in Naptown/Danville. I'll call Ken now & tell him about your post. Any message for them? neat.

Maureena - in the latest edition of the BD Alumni Directory, there is an Elizabeth Dost. I'm assuming that is Ellie. It shows her married name as Chopp. I looked it up for you. The directory shows her residence as 4029 S. Heritage Ct. New Palestine, IN 46163, tele: 317-861-5446. It also provides an email address as ellychopp@hotmail.com. Hope all this information helps and you are able to contact her.

Thank you, everyone, for the replys to my queries. I don't know which route my sister used, but she did find the right Ellie. She's wondered about her for years. Bob, I'm so glad to learn that Kenny and David are doing well. I doubt they will remember me, though. Just tell them I said hello. David and I were the same age, Kenny a few years older. I still miss hearing the planes come and go, though. I lived there until just after graduation, when the airport bought all the properties in that area. Mercy, how things have changed there. I was wondering, too, what is the old high school building being used for now? I was lucky enough to go to Ben Davis all 12 years and still have dreams about all the buildings. Again, thanks to everyone and have a good day.

Denise Hopwood, I am Dave Grider, I lived just across the street from you on Cossell Drive. You were one year behind me and your sister Cheyl was one year ahead of me. I knew Cherl a little better than you. I read on the BDHS65 site that you knew Peggy Lucas and that she was married to Don Gummer before Merl Srteep. Are you in contact with Peggy? I have wondered about her cousin Tina from Panama that came to visit one summer, we had some fun times. I drove down Cossell Drive the other day and the house where Peggy lived is gone. I think it may have burned and then was taken completely down. I spent a lot of time at your house playing basketball when the Burkhardt's lived there.

Dave Grider -- I think Mike Linn Is right. Listen to this story. My x-wife, I don't know if you remember her is staying with us because she and my current wife are good friends (I think more mother & daughter). My x is here helping with the new baby, she comes down about 3 times a year and my current wife goes up there a couple times a year, anyway, I asked my x if she remembered Dave Grider, she says yes that was the Fireman that you used to get drunk with. Then she went on this rant from 68 to 86 and named every person and every episode during that period. How in the world do thes women remember this stuff, anyway we have been getting along great for 25 years and now she acts like we are married again. I think women have a little button that remembers everything bad, nothing good, anyway it is your fault, you started it. Question, are you still married to that woman that we went out drinking for?

I tried getting married again and it didn't work all that well either. I am currently single and in a relationship and neither of us want to try getting married again. Your X called it getting drunk we called it having fun. That was in my big beer drinking days after Germany, loved that German beer. What was your X- ife's name? If she is still in Indy maybe I should stay clear of her, sounds like I took the blame for a few or a lot of things. Sounds like you are doing well now, that's great. Norm Nance-- Both of my brothers were older than me and neither worked at Link Belt. You are right about Jeff Gehle, he was a good bowler. He bowled a 297 one time at Lynhurst Bowl. The story goes that his dad was keeping score and bit a cigar into when he got 7 instead of the last strike. I don't know if he ever got a perfect game after that or not. You remember the group I ran with well, Tracy, Vic, Jeff. It's a wonder we didn't get in more trouble than we did back then. But we didn't do anything like what goes on today. Well, Dan. . .Ann Davidson; she lived on Bridgeport Road very close to Rockville Road. People would look in the phone book for a Davidson on Bridgeport Rd, see our number and call it. My mom never had to go to the beauty shop to get her hair curled! All she had to do was answer the phone occasionally; I'd hear her say, "Why I never!!!" and we'd have a new phone number in a few days! From her reputation back then, I'd say that Ann was a "people(s) person"! Having never gone out with her, I can't be sure, but her reputation preceded her! Of course, this is all just hearsay.

Norm, There may have been a John Grider that lived on Cossell Road, but if so he was no relation to me. I lived on Cossell Drive just south of Stelner's house. I did work on the farm and had a lot of fun there and also worked pretty hard. I think I made a buck hour and all the tomatoes we could eat. Harold Stelzner is still there but I understand he is in pretty bad shape. No one does much on the farm, they sell a few plants in the spring, at least they did last year. Good memories!!

Hey There Class of 64. Just back from my trans Panama Canal cruise. Wonderful time and lovely weather. Fourteen days at sea can sure spoil a person. Lola, glad to see you on the board and doing ok. Several new messagers I see. None of them probably remember me, but I remember them.

Bob, I haven't heard from Glen in over a year now. The last time I talked to him he was moving back to Phoenix. His wife had been very ill and they can't seem to determine what the problem is so she wanted to move back to Phoenix to be closer to her kids. I've sent several emails and they don't come back undeliverable, but he never answers. Have no idea what is going on. I'll send you his email from home and see if you get a response. I've been concerned for both him and his wife. Kitten made the cruise with me and it was great. We had lots of fun, lots of laughs and enjoyed ourselve very much. The food was wonderful, but I was good. Have to watch the salt and fat and the cruise ships now have special menu items for that purpose. Consists mostly of seafood and I love seafood so it worked well for me. I think I ate fresh Salmon at least three nights. Don't think Rick liked Kitten being gone much though. He says he will never let her go without him ever again. The first few days we weren't sure he would even make it. They talked every day. Sure wouldn't want that phone bill. Cell minutes were $9 per min on the ship, but Rick got her a package deal so might have been less. Email was available, 100 min for $55. and I believe she used all but one of her minutes. Me, I just go and send a postcard to the grandkids somewhere along the way and the boys know I won't be calling. They have not received the post cards yet, and may not. Mail in the foreign countries is very undependable. Gotta start saving for my next adventure. My trips are always adventures. I could tell stories for hours.

Lorraine - glad that you had such a wonderful time! Hopefully, you took lots of pictures. Bring them to the reunion. I would love to see them. Hey, think of me the next time you plan an adventure. I am ready and willing to do some traveling. Anything beats staying at home all the time. However, I am still going on a vacation the second week in May that my husband and I were planning. I'll miss him, but he will be with me in spirit, I know.

Lola, good for you. Travel is the best kind of stress relief. Are you realy sure you want to travel with me. I'm one of those people who end up on the planes that are on fire or the equipment breaks the minute I get on something. All the crazy wild things happen to me. Once I was in the Radisson Hotel at the Indy airport the night before a flight and the phone rings and this young woman wants to speak to her father who just called her and said he was having a heart attack. I tell her she has the wrong number, but she insists he is in my room. Next thing I know the manager is knocking on my door and I tell her there is no such man in my room. Ten min later the Paramedics with all their equipment are banging down my room door insisting they are there to take care of the man having a heart attack in my room. I finally take off the chain and let them look to prove there is no man in my room, let alone one having a heart attack. The next morning as I'm checking out I asked if they ever found the man having the heart attack and they said they called all the other hotels in the area and he was never found. I thought I should have a refund for that experience.

Then there was the time Mother and I were taking a sea plane flight seeing tour in a very small plane over St. Thomas. About 5 min into the flight the power goes off and the plane is filling with smoke. The pilot takes a hard right and nose dives back down into the bay. I'm taking pictures out the window all the way down. I figured when they recovered the camera they would see I was having fun as we went down and died doing what I enjoy most. People were waiting at the dock with fire extinguishers and order us off the plane into a hanger. Mother is caught in the seat belt and no one else can get off the plane until I get mother out. I looked at the pilot as we are leaving the plane and asked "Do you always land at that angle?" He just said "Get in the hanger miss." Come to find out we had an electrical fire inside the plane. No other planes were available so they refunded our money. What a disappointment not to see all the islands from the air.

Then, there was the time I'm on ATA on final approach into Ft. Myers and the plane is starting to fill with smoke. My two seat mates are saying things like "I smell smoke" "I see smoke" All the lights go out and no one says a word. We hard land at the end of the runway and the plane stops abruptly. I'm expecting them to open the doors and have us go down the slides but still nothing happens. Then the plane starts up again and we taxi to the gate. Pilot told us the AC overheated. Sure was a lot of smoke for overheated.

Bob, it all started on November 23, 1993 when I was hit by a car while crossing the street on my noon walk. Life spiraled down out of control for 2 years after that. In 11 months I got hit by the car, my boss of 8 years died and my husband of 30 years left me. Took two years to get the divorce final (very messy) and after that I started traveling and the adventures started. I guess after going through that downward spiral not much else could happen that I couldn't survive. I've become very independent and very strong. Sometimes I get tired of being strong, but it's always an adventure and you have to look at it that way.

No, Bob, the only classes that have them are 56, 64, 65, 66, and 67. Links to all of those are at the top of the '65 board: http://www.quicktopic.com/15/H/uguHTLxg54aIt's easy enough to start a new board - just click the "New Topic" link up top of this board, and you're on your way. So get ahold of someone in the 57 or 58 class and tell them about it.

Hello David Grider, I remember you as well. Do you recall that my dad was an Indianapois Firefighter? Cheryl's husband, Ken Noland is retired from Indy Fire Dept. I have not been down the old street in many years. I live out in rural Greenfield. Peggy lives in Atlanta GA with her husband, an attorney. She has 2 grown children, a boy, Lucas and a daughter Joanna. Her brother Tony owns a lumber company in Brownsburg. When remembering the kids of Cossell I forgot to mention Joey Burton who lived next to Peggy on the south.

I now live in Avon Creek Estates (Morris & Raceway Rd. I go down the old street every now and then. Joe Burton was a Speedway fire fighter and is retired now, I used to work with him some when he was on SFD. Good to hear from you.

Rick, The Engineer....I am sure you remember my late sister, Bonnie Clarke, also. You were also great friends with the late Steve Bamford. I did see you at a RR picnic in the late 80's....I was home for a visit..I lived on Long Island...and it happend to be during the annual picnic, so dad told me to come and have some fun. I'll have to ask dad about the other guy who also had a Penny for a daughter. Sam Ruff has also retired from the RR. Mom and Dad still live in their home, dad never slows down. He just had his second stomach anneurysm repaired at the Cleveland Clinic. The year after he retired, he had a massive stroke, but you would never know it....yep, he never lets anything get him down. Do you remember Ron Beasely? He and dad still hang out.

PENNY CLARKE Ok, I am glad we straightned that out, tell your dad hello for me, your dad is a great guy. I had heard he had a stroke and someone told me he was doing badly, I am glad that isn't true. I believe he was working at Home Depot after he retired wasn't he? Tell him the other Charley Clarke was the clerk we called Popeye, I think he will probably know him. It was pretty sad about Steve Bamford, do you know how his 2 sons are doing? I know the name Ron Beasely, was he a deputy, or a RR? The name sounds so familiar. That has been a long time ago. Good to here from you, tell your dad hello again.

Rick, Ron Beasley is RR. Dad had the stroke the year after he retired, on my son's 16th birthday, Sept 13, 1988. He also has had quad bypass, a brain anneurysm, one stomach anneurysm repaired, then developed a second one at the base of that repair, and had it also repainred at the cleveland clinic in cleveland. He will be 84 in Sept. He is not as strong as he was, but still is extremely active. He doesn't look much older, and gets a kick out of people who tell him he's in his 60's. He worked at Lowes for awhile, mom hates him not having something keeping him busy. Don't know about Steve's sons. Maybe Randy Wright can help you out with that one, or maybe Jim Abbott, he can be reached on the '66 board.

Hey Dan, I am confused about this website. It says that it is the BDHS '64 bulletin board, but all of the senior pics are from a different year right? I only saw one person that I knew and that was Sandra Phillips. By the way, I am trying to help spread the word about the Clermont grade school reunion. I hope that there is a big turnout. I am flying up from Florida for the week-end to go. I was sorry to hear that Bobby Pless had passed away about 10 years ago from a stroke. snlindy.com is the website for more information on the reunion.

Lola, I just remembered that your brother was in my biology class taught by Trent Gibson. I remember an incident where he and another boy, I cannot remember now who the other boy was, were doing some kind of trick that made one of them pass out onto the floor. Mr. Gibson was not in the room for some reason and of course when the cats away the mice will play. I remember being scared not only for the boy passed out but for the fact we were all going to be in trouble if Mr. Gibson came in while this boy was on the floor. He came to and all was well and I don't believe Mr. Gibson knew anything about any of it. But you never know.

Nowadays, you don't dare leave the room. My oh my, how times have changed. Come on people, fess up to your tricks during school!! {:-)

Ok, this is one of my favorites involving Trooper Trent. It was my sophomore year, so it was you guy's Senior year. I was in Caesar Class in the Senior Building with Mrs. McNabb. We were ALL Sophmores. I sat near the door. In the row, by the windows Clyde Peach sat behind John Sprecklemeyer. They had brought a bottle of Coke into class. They had punched a hole in the lid, and were passing it between them, low on the side, bending down to drink it. McNabb caught them, and told them to bring it up to her desk. Clyde had it, (do you girls remember him? All the Senior girls were swooning over him) got up and started walking to her desk, he had his thumb over the hole and was shaking the bottle as he walked. He got right up to her desk and (I was praying, "Don't do it Clyde") started to point it at her, then at the last minute, pointed it at the blackboard and sprayed it all over. McNabb couldn't speak for a momnet, she was so furious. She sent John to the janitor's office to get something to clean the blackboard. We were on the 3rd floor, the janitor in the basement. When John returned, he was standing in the doorway, with a can of powdered cleanser, open and upside down...it left a trail all behind him. We were all sitting there staring at him with fear on our faces for him. He thought it was a great joke and couldn't figure out why we were looking at him like that. Trooper Trent was standing right behind him (he had followed John all the way to the room, without John's knowledge)Mr. Gibson grabbed John and escorted him back to his office.
Our logo was "We're the class of '66, we go to school just for kicks". We were told all through school, all the way from grade school through graduation , that we were the worst class to ever go through Wayne Township Schools, so we did our best to live up to that reputation. By the way, John is an executive and retired Major in the Indy Natl. Guard...he was a chopper pilot. Clyde is also an executive and owns his own company.

Penny, Wonderful! I loved it. I sent Lorraine's message about the two boys on to Lowell. Then I spoke with him on the telephone, and I asked him about the incident. He told me that he indeed remembers the incident and that he was the one on the floor. Oh my God! He said they were messing around with sulphur and the smoke got to him. All he remembers is waking up on the floor. He does not recall who the other boy was. Now that's a shame! Wish we had someone to point the finger at!!

I also remember my friend, Donna Worrell, and I used to go out cruising around the Parkeat and Pole in her grandpa's old brown '53 chevy. I was dating David then and he helped us by disconnecting the odometer before and after we had our evening so her parents and grandpa would not know how many miles we drove. Course gas was so very cheap then, that we could cruise a long night on just a dollar's worth of gas. Oh, those were the days.

Lorraine, Chewing gum was also a cardinal offense. In the main hall of the new HS, there was a big glass showcase. The spring of '66 they posted a list of people who had gotten caught chewing gum and were't going to be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony. I always wondered if they followed through with that policy. Clyde was yanked out of BD his junior year and sent to Brebuff. He is involved in the design and manufacture of artificial limbs, if I'm not mistaken. A couple of guys from '66 see him every so often...and maybe one from '67. He lives in Indy. Man, his blue eyes were something. I once was sitting in front of him and Schylar atkins (they were altar boys, if you can believe that) at a church service held in the cafeteria of Fulton, our 8th grade year. The guys kept going pssst, pssst. I refused to turn around. after services Clyde asked why I didn't turn around when they tried to get my attention. With my nose in the air, I responded that that's now how to behave during a service. I had my two little sisters in tow...as I started to make my dignified exit, Clyde said,"We just wanted to tell you your skirt was unzipped!" Why couldn't the earth open at that moment????????? Clyde and I were good friends and he was really a great guy..not a conceited bone in his body.

This might have been posted before but Joanne (Straber) Vinton and I had breakfast this morning and talked about our reunion. Does anyone have any idea where we could reach Bonnie (Huff) Hollingsworth. Bill Hollingsworth has no clue so was wondering if any classmates had an idea. Both were in class of '64..............Thanks

Bonnie Huff has a sister, I believe, -- Sharon Huff. Sharon is listed in the latest BD alumni book edition. I sent her an email, but to date, no response. There is a telephone number listed, but I did not try it. Also, some sad news in trying to locate classmates. I located Diana (Fulton) Roark. Spoke with her husband yesterday, and he informed me that she passed away 11/15/05 after battling breast cancer for several years. I extended him my condolances. Sadly enough the deceased listing keeps growing.

Lola...has anyone been able to locate Sue Jones Wagonseller? The last that I knew of her she lived in Greenfield and I called her one day and left her a message to call me and we do lunch as we had been friends in school and before her divorce. She never called back and then she moved. I also think at one time she worked in Human Resources at St. John's Hospital in Anderson. Please let me know if you locate her. My email is martha _h_ 1999@yahoo.com. Thanks everyone

Hi, Martha - No, I do not have any contact information on Susan Jones Wagonseller. I had an address of 1755 Sandhill Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46217 with a telephone of 317-468-0717. However, the mail sent there was returned. I also have/had a FAX number for her of 317-885-7705. We sent a FAX but never received a response. You say she is divorced. Did she keep the name Wagonseller or go back to Jones? I have not been able to find out anything for her. If you can assist in locating her, I would be extremely grateful. Please let me know what you find you. Thanks for your information. Have a wonderful day and let it be blessed. I look forward to hearing from you. I tried to send this to you using the email address you provided martha _h_ 1999@yahoo.com, but it said there was a mistake in the address. You might want to try sending me an email lolalevis@aol.com. Then I will have your correct email address. Thanks again. I have the missing in action classmates now down to 69 classmates. Hopefully, I will be able to find some of them before the reunion.

#1) Let me also sends Cudos to Lola for a job well done. I remember several years ago I called the high school to request info for a reunion. Lola do they have your info in case any one contacts them.. Also I wonder if they have any current info on graduated students. I know the book that was put together by Charley LaFare had alot of grad information.
I went to the Murat Shire with Bob Fall. He was not my date. Bob post the picture of you on the horse. My date was a former classmate from Graden City me 5th grade Mrs Robinson amd she was in the 4th grade. Then she moved away broke my heart and I found her several years later at Decatur Central and fell in love all over again. We double with Bruce Allison for the PROM and then to Brown County on Sunday. That was the last date we had, I always told Bruce Allison it was his fault for the break up..???????

Hey, I work for your great post office. Why do you say that it doesn't like the name Carol Ann? If you think that is bad, you should see what is going on in the Brandon Florida office. We have four too many clerks (so they say), so they are in line to be excessed to another facility. Bad thing is that all the offices have "excess people" with no where to send them. Soooo, our four people are going to sit in a room and do NOTHING for 8 hours a day and get paid $25 an hour! Yes that's right. We can't even use them if we need them because "technically" they are excessed. Now isn't that the brightest thing you ever heard of? They want to get rid of 150,000 employees. Unfortunately, the "early outs" that they are offering is not an incentive for people to take it. If you go out early, you are penalized so much for each year. Great management.

Jackie, My husband took an early out on his federal job in '93, he was retiring 10 years early, under that deal, and got penalized 2% for each year (retirement age was 55). He started collecting immediately, with the 20% reduction, but he still made out better...it would have taken forever to get all the retirement money he got early.....he did get burnt out of $25, 000. The Congress had passed a bill that each state needed to get rid of x amount of military techs.....NY needed to down size to the tune of 125 techs. For each tech, they appropriated $25,000 as an incentive, since they would take a hit on their pensions....only 3 guys took it...none got the $25,000. I called my two US Senators, at the time, Monyihan and Al DiMotto...they said the money had been sent to NY....to the General Fund...that great black hole...no way to trace it. Do the math, NY got a windfall at the expense of the employees, but they still would have had a windfall, even if they just payed out $75,000 of the $2,625,000 they got! Oh well, that's water under the bridge....sure could have used that money, but my husband never regretted retiring early!

Penny, Yes that is the same penalty that we have in our early outs. I have 35 going on 36 years in and can retire now, but with the economy like it is, I am afraid to do it. I only have myself to rely on for support and I have no savings. I have to save at least $400 a month to cover car and house insurance and taxes. Our home owners insurance in Florida is outrageous. They tack on a charge to pay citizens insurance for their losses from the past few years of hurricanes. I have a home that is only 1560 square feet and 21 years old and it was going to cost me 1800 Plus for one year of insurance. I had to lower my coverage to 207 grand and increase my deductable from $250. to $2500. in order to get it down to 1400. And it won't do anything but go up. So that is 400 off the top of any retirement check that I will get each month. Not to mention federal taxes and insurance. Doesn't leave much. And my car and house are both paid off. I want to retire so badly but only can if I want to sit in the house all day and do nothing.

Jackie, I know how you feel. We bought our second home on LI to retire in, got it just how we liked it, then Tony took the early retirement. Goodbye LI, hellow Paris, TN. Our property taxes were over $5K in '93 on LI, our taxes on our house here which is 2300 sq. ft. on 8 acres are $608 a year. We knew not one person in TN, but we couldn't afford LI any longer, we even left our poor son alone....he was attending the University of Stony Brook on the Island, but now he had to get a place to stay...we helped with that, but it was the hardest thing in the world, to up and move from where we planned to spend the rest of our lives, leave all our friends, and move here knowing not one person. Oh well, it was nice to get the bear off our chest. We, like you, own our vehicles and our house is paid for, boy there are so many people our age in hock up to their eyeballs...Retirement can be quite challanging...Tony gets a job every so often, (then quits after a year or so) when his "I wants" exceed our budget...LOL I don't want him to get another one now.

Penny, So are you happy in Paris Tennessee? I have often thought of selling and moving to Tennessee. Then I think of the cold winters. I like the weather in Florida except when it gets so unbearably hot in the summer. Three of my children live in Florida. My son lives in Washington state. I have visited him several times. It is beautiful but I wouldn't want to live there. I love the state of Virginia but understand it is very expensive to live there too. I guess there are drawbacks to everywhere. I am originally from Indiana but would never want to move back there. It is so boring there. Although I am going there in June for a "Clermont Crowd" reunion June 13. I still have two sisters and one brother living there. So, where did you go to school? I take it that you went to BDHS but what about your grade school? I only went to BD my freshman year. Then we had to move. I hated it. I went to four different high schools. Speaking of not knowing anyone.

Jackie, I went to BD grade school for a half day in 1st and 2nd grade. then Lora Rhoades was built and opened right beside our house...went there till Fulton opened...then I went there for 8th and 9th grade. Went to the old BDHS for my sophomore and junior years, then was Senior Class Treasurer for the Class of '66, the first class to graduate from the "new " BDHS. We have been in Tn for 15 years June 3rd. Our kids both ended up settling here, but one is just outside Nashville in Mt. Juliet and the other in Memphis. We are right by KY Lake, we had to be near water, and it is HUGE! It was a major adjustment...trade offs....but life is one BIG tradeoff! We do NOT have the financial stress we had on the Island....but we don't have the social life we had there, neither. TN has no income tax, but our sales tax is on EVERYTHING...including food....so I shop the Commissary at Ft. Campbell, or we pop over the state line to Murray, KY and grocery shop there since they don't tax food. Since moving to TN, we have made a 7 day and an 8 day Carribean cruise, been to Hawaii three times, bought new vehicles at the same time (boy was that dumb!!) and bought a new boat. None of that would have been possible if we had stayed on the Island. Still, Tony's family is all still there and so are many of our friends. But many are leaving....being taxed out of their homes. Weather wise, it is very humid here, but we have daffodils in full bloom by Valentine's Day. We get around 11 days every winter month of over 50 degrees. My younger sister lives in Naples, FL. Since we left LI, they haven't had a hurricane, had a few while we lived there, the last one was Bob in the early 90's. If I moved to FL, you'd have even more hurricanes....LOLWhen Gloria hit LI in '85, she was a basically "dry" hurricane...it was weird, but we still lost power for 8 days....never thought to ask the government for anything, just neighbor helping neighbor.

Since I have seen Mike Davis's name on this site I will brag on him! On the 66 site we all talked quite a great deal about Clarence Porter being selected for the alumni wall of fame at BD. When I arrived there to watch the ceremony and congratulate Clarence, I discovered Mike Davis was also selected. Yep, one and the same, the mischievous Mike Davis who probably surprised many BD faculty when they heard how successful he has been in his adult life. Anyway, you all may have already known that, but I thought it deserved mentioning. Again, congrats to Mike!

Mary Jo, Sharon, and Lorraine - Thank you very much for all the kind words. I had a marvelous time on vacation. My son and his wife and I rented an RV to travel, thinking it might be a little cheaper. Don't think it really was. But visited many places - Graceland, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Oklahoma City National Memorial, the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, Petrified Forest and Painted Desert, Las Vegas (won a little, not enough to write about), found out I really enjoy playing blackjack. I can see where gambling could be addicting if you allow it to happen. Put a $20 bill in the slot machine and won $125.00. Beginners luck! Then went to Salt Lake City and visited with a cousin. My kids tried to walk my legs off in Las Vegas. Had a massage in Salt Lake City and the masseuse said that my gluttous was very tight. Imagine that! Rested?? No, I'll be resting here at home. Enjoyed my time so much. I have never done anything like this. My only wish is that Vic had lived to enjoy this trip. I know he was with me in spirit; that's probably why I won a little. Now to get back into the swing of life and back to the board for the BD reunion. I am so looking forward to it. I sure hope it is well attended. If not, those people do not know what they are missing!!

Bob - As you stated previously, all the places we originally wanted to go to were just too many miles. So, we are planning another trip. Don't know yet when, but future plans include the Yellowstone National Park, Mt. Rushmore, and the badlands. Apparently, in talking with other travelers on the road, Yellowstone had a snow storm just a day prior to when we were supposed to go there. Maybe it was a good thing that we aborted that part of our trip. Thanks for the well wishes.

Morning all. Happy Memorial Day. Lola, that sounds like a fantastic trip. I hope to travel the west some time soon. I've been to Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands and I highly recommend it. Mt. Rushmore is good for a day, but you better plan several days for the Badlands. At least that would be the case for me. I loved the views and seeing the vastness of that territory. I stood at some overlooks and wondered what it was like for the frontier people to come upon that area. Had to have been very formidable for a wagon train. Another great spot out west is Oregon and Washington. The Barlow Trail is still there and you can still see some of the wagon wheel tracks in that area. Lots of beautiful waterfalls. I like to fly to a general area and then take a bus tour branching out all around that general area. Leave the driving to them so you can see the sites without running off the road. I've never been to Yellowstone, but hear it is awesome. I would also like to do the Grand Tetons. I've seen them from the air and they are magnifisant. Grand Canyon is another thing I've seen from the air, but would like to do in person. So many sites to see and so few dollars to go see them! Sigh!!! I have my reunion registration all ready and will mail it tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion and refreshing old friendships. Lola, bring pictures for us all to see. You all have a great holiday and honor those who served so we can be free. Later, L

Hi, everybody! Hope you have a great weekend planned. Just a reminder - http://danhughesbooks.com/1964missing.htm lists the classmates who we still do not have any contact information, or they are still missing in action (MIA). Please check out the site to see if you know the whereabouts of anybody. If so, let me know at lolalevis@aol.com. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Rhonda, Are you the gorgeous Red Head that I had a crush on for years that lived on Mars Hill St. It seems one day you were there and the next you were gone. I always wondered what happened to you. I joined the National Guard in 64 and lost touch with everybody from 64.

Lola, I was red shirted in the third grade at Mars Hill Elementary,so all of my 64 friends went on ahead of me. I was half blind at the time and my mom and teacher thought that I should repeat the third grade over with glasses. Which I did with great success. I did graduate in 65. But never got over being held up.
Rhonda, You were indeed and probably still are a beautiful women and because I was very shy I did not express my puppy love for you. I have been Married 3 times, #1 passed away in 74, divorced # 2 in 89 and my third wife passed away 5 years ago after 13 years of marriage. I have not remarried and have a small business in Prairieville, La I still work everyday and love to stay active.I will never retire. I have started a second company called Indian River Boats LLC and will start production on my electric boat at the end of August. I will be showing this world class electric march boat all over the country. I designed and built this little boat over the past 3 years. I hold 2 patents and one copyright on it and am excited about getting it on the market. I am glad to here you are doing well. I have not been to Indy since we had our 40th reunion in 05. I moved to Florida (Cocoa Beach) in 1968 and called it home till my father passed away in 1981. I moved to Louisiana in 81 and have been here ever since. My next stop is going to be in Sarasota which is going to be home base for the Boat company. Oh! By the way I am the Jimbo's Political BB owner and administrator.

James - sounds like you have had a wonderful life even with your hangup. I would like to speak personally about Rhonda - she is beautiful on the outside and the inside. Hey, are you looking for wife #4? {:-) I just lost my husband #1 of 43 years a few months ago. It can get mighty lonesome after having someone around all the time. But, I keep myself busy and have many friends. Really, it sounds like you have all your knights in a row and doing well. Good for you!

You might want to reconsider making Sarasota your home base for your boat company. Hi Everyone.. Someone mentioned "Al Greens" on the East side of Indy. Oh my Gosh, their tenderloins were huge and their burgers were scrumptious. Remember the "Iron Skillet" ? A bit pricey but my step mom worked there as a cook and guess who got the leftovers ! So the "snow birds" are coming back from Florida now and it is good to see them once again. Rhonda, hope you enjoyed your winter while we were digging out. So Jim Burroughs, I remember the name but not the face and it really is bugging me. Can you give me any clues? Old age has really set in at our house. And.. what was the name of the putt putt golf course on the West side guys ?

Glad to Lola had a nice vacation, Now get back to work and find our missing c-mates ! Just kidding.. you all have done a wonderful job. This old fogey will be at the reunion but will be limping. I am having my right knee replaced in July, left was done in May last year. Guess there will be no dancing for me. Here is a laugh for those of you who will be filing for Soc Sec. I had applied for a copy of our marriage license and the name on the copy was "Sharon Jo Ward" (wrong name recorded by them). Long story short, Soc Sec did not accept my paperwork until I get it corrected or get married ! Well, duh, I have been married 45 years July 11th. Have a great evening everyone.

Sharon - glad to hear that you will be at the reunion. So, having your knee done, huh?! Will you be needing any kind of help? Remember, I don't live too far away - I live in Camby also. Let me know, and I will help however I can. Missing classmates - some of these people just do not want to be found. When I started this endeavor there were 168 classmates without contact information. With help from others, I have been able to whittle the listing of missing in action down to 62. I just wish all those whom I found would come to the reunion, but they aren't.

Lola, I have been single so long I don't know if I would know how to act if I found a good women. I don't drink and don't know how to dance so I don't hang out at night clubs were the women are. I have thought about joining the singles group at church but still am very shy. I do have my own teeth, (I had a Hollywood job done a few years ago.) and I do have a full head of hair and wear a short beard and mustache. I had Lasik surgury three years ago and I have 22x22 vision so I do not wear glasses anymore. I have never been operated on except to have my left hand reattached after a dog just about tore it off. I do stay busy with keeping the companies running smooth and with the housework, bookkeeping, taxes, machinery and truck maintenance I stay pretty busy. I have two trucks and four large mowers plus all the other equipment, it gets rather tense at times. My lawn services makes $100 thousand (gross) and it seems that I am always juggling money to pay bills and keep everybody happy. If you go to Dan's BDHS 65 website you can go into the year book and see the before and after pics of me and see what 63 years have done to me. I use to be a basic flight instructor and flew ultra lights. but lose my nerve after the wife passed away. I still have my plane in my garage collecting dust. If you e-mail me,(frog3@eatel.net) I will send you some pictures of my boat and some recent pictures of me,sister and brother. I do have a dog that I rescued 6 years ago, she is an American Staffordshire Bulldog and she is 13 years old. She is my shadow and never takes her eye off of me.I always wonder what she sees In me. Ha!!!!! Hey RED, I mean Rhonda, Jimbos Social and Political Bulletin Board is a place were our group can air out their feelings about were our country is headed, Constitutional issues ,taxation, social agendas and political satire and parody. You can download pictures and cartoons. You can cut and paste interesting articles that affect our future way of life and gripe about anything you please. We do welcome liberals and respect their views and never expect to change their minds but try like heck. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. And rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. Best Wishes! Hey, everybody! Just wanted to let you know that I am teaching myself HTML4 from a library book. I am so excited that I understand this stuff. My goal is to establish a 1964 home page similar to what Dan Hughes created for the 1965 class. My goal is to have a page up and running by the reunion, and I can add to it after that. Keep your fingers crossed for me. It is amazing to see that my brain can still function and learn new things.

If I am not mistaken, the Westlake site, snlindy has arial photos of Westlake from the 40's through the late 60's or so. The last time I went to the site, I forwarded the link on to friends and family who have heard me, repeatedly, try to explain Westlake, not just the pool and lake, but the picnic area, arcade, little race track behind the concession stand, and the dance hall with the retractable roof. The white birches lining the drive up, beside the lake were something I never got tired of seeing.....it was magical place and time, for me at least. Girls, remember how we would hit the showers and sit at the many sided mirrored tables, put our hair in curlers by the early afternoon. God forbid you didn't put your hair in curlers, it meant you didn't have a date....so unless everyone knew you were going "steady" that hair was put into curlers....every girl came with their "train" case.......oops forgot something else. Remember on eof the worst things we could have were garter belt marks on our legs, never wore a skirt or dress before showing up at the beach!

Lola, I was thinking of some of my buds from 64 and the only guy that I can remember is George Hamm, we were pretty close till he graduated and I lost track. I am wandering if you have contacted him or not.
Sharon, My brother Dave should have graduated in 63,his real name was Jack David. His best friends were Steve Collins, Ronnie Dennis, Herb Radkie you may have known some of those guys. We were all from Mars Hill. I have an old student directory (Paper Back) that has all of the 64 people in it, I'm going to find it and see who's in there. I spent most of my time in The deans (Trent Gibson) office so you may have seen me there. I also was a projectionist so I got around to a lot of class rooms showing movies.

Lola, I understand and respect his wish, so I am not going to contact him. I'm sure his middle name was Oscar. He was raised by his mom and they were poor as church mice. I remember his mom could cuss worst than a sailor. She would bitch him out and he would just look over at me and just shake is head and chuckle. He was a very intelligent and nice looking guy. He reminded me of the late great #1 George Reeves (superman). If he decides to attend the reunion please give him a regards. If you ever have to contact him tell him I love him!!!

Hi, Dan! HTML4 can be quite confusing unless you take the time to read and learn the different tag commands.
I even learned how to bring images across, but I did not care for the way they came across. However, I understand, that it is much easier using FrontPage and I will agree to that, especially with my previous experience using FrontPage. Thanks for all your help.

Speaking of Lola - did Lola go to the Westlake party Saturday night? I think I spotted her walking in as I was leaving. Short hair - platinum - beautiful color, in fact. Yes, Marcy, that was me. I showed up at the Westlake party, but did not stay long. The only person I saw who I recognized was Jan (Medcalf) Virgin. My hair is short, and a very white color (all natural). I had on an orange top with an orange print skort. I wish you had stopped and spoken to me. Lowell, I think, aged well. He now has salt and pepper hair, some facial hair, and has quite a few extra pounds on his body that he would like to lose.

Subject: The Lawn Mower
We have the standard 6 ft. fence in the backyard, and a few months ago, I heard about burglaries increasing dramatically in the entire city. To make sure this never happened to me, I got an electric fence and ran a single wire along the top of the fence.
Actually, I got the biggest cattle charger Tractor Supply had, made for 26 miles of fence. I then used an 8 ft. long ground rod, and drove it 7.5 feet into the ground. The ground rod is the key; the more you have in the ground, the better the fence works.
One day I'm mowing the back yard with my cheapo Wal-Mart 6 hp big wheel push mower. The hot wire is broken and laying out in the yard. I knew for a fact that I unplugged the charger. I pushed the mower around the wire and reached down to grab it and throw it out of the way.
It seems as though I hadn't remembered to unplug it after all.
Now I'm standing there, I've got the running lawnmower in my right hand and the 1.7 giga-volt fence wire in the other hand. Keep in mind the charger is about the size of a marine battery and has a picture of an upside down cow on fire on the cover.
Time stood still.
The first thing I notice is my pecker trying to climb up the front side of my body. My ears curled downwards and I could feel the lawnmower ignition firing in the backside of my brain. Every time that Briggs & Stratton rolled over, I could feel the spark in my head. I was literally at one with the engine.
It seems as though the fence charger and the piece of shit lawnmower were fighting over who would control my electrical impulses.
Science says you cannot crap, pee, and vomit at the same time. I beg to differ. Not only did I do all three at once, but my bowels emptied 3 different times in less than half of a second. It was a Matrix kind of bowel movement, where time is creeping along and you're all leaned back and BAM BAM BAM you just crap your pants 3 times. It seemed like there were minutes in between, but in reality it was so close together it was like exhaust pulses from a big block Chevy turning 8 grand.
At this point I'm about 30 minutes (maybe 2 seconds) into holding onto the fence wire. My hand is wrapped around the wire palm down, so I can't let go. I grew up on a farm so I know all about electric fences .... but Dad always had those piece of shit chargers made by International, or whoever that were like 9 volts and just kinda tickled.
This one I could not let go of. The 8 foot long ground rod is now accepting signals from me through the permadamp Ark-La-Tex river bottom soil. At this point I'm thinking I'm going to have to just man up and take it, until the lawnmower runs out of gas......
'Damn!,' I think, as I remember I just filled the tank!
Now the lawnmower is starting to run rough. It has settled into a loping run pattern as if it had some kind of big lawnmower race cam in it. Covered in poop, pee, and with my vomit on my chest I think 'Oh God please die ... Pleeeeze die'. But nooooo, it settles into the rough lumpy cam idle nicely and remains there, like a big bore roller cam EFI motor waiting for the go command from its owner's right foot..
So here I am in the middle of July, 104 degrees, 80% humidity, standing in my own backyard, begging God to kill me. God did not take me that day ... He left me there covered in my own fluids to writhe in the misery my own stupidity had created.
I honestly don't know how I got loose from the wire ...
I woke up laying on the ground hours later. The lawnmower was beside me, out of gas. It was later on in the day and I was sunburned.
There were two large dead grass spots where I had been standing and then another long skinny dead spot where the wire had laid while I was on the ground still holding on to it. I assume I finally had a seizure and in the resulting thrashing had somehow let go of the wire.
Upon waking from my electrically induced sleep I realized a few things:
1- Three of my teeth seem to have melted.
2- I now have cramps in the bottoms of my feet and my right butt cheek (not the left, just the right).
3- Poop, pee, and vomit, when all mixed together, do not smell as bad as you might think.
4- My left eye will not open.
5- My right eye will not close.
6- The lawnmower runs like a sumbitch now. Seriously! I think our little session cleared out some carbon fouling or something, because it was better than new after that.
7- My nuts are still smaller than average yet they are almost a foot long.
8- I can turn on the TV in the game room by farting while thinking of the number 4 (still don't understand this ??).
That day changed my life. I now have a newfound respect for things. I appreciate the little things more and now I always triple check to make sure the fence is unplugged before I mow.
The good news is that if a burglar does try to come over the fence, I can clearly visualize what my security system will do to him and THAT gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling all over, which also reminds me to triple check before I mow.

Yes, Steve, I think it is fun to look back and the good ole' days when things were much simpler. I am going to a grade school reunion for Clermont's 1960 class on August 13. I guess it is being co-insided with the Ben Davis reunion. Some members are coming as far away as California and Colorado. I am coming from Florida. My how we have spread out! We are even going to be able to tour our old Clermont school which is now owned by the church. I toured it the last time I was up for the reunion that was held the same time as the Westlake reunion. It sure brought back memories. Good ones.

Tom Simanton was in the Class of '64. He was only there for his senior year, having just moved to Clermont from Tucson, Arizona. His family moved into Denny Olsen's (Olson?) home in Pinecrest after the Olsens moved away. He died last week in California (his home now) of complications from gall bladder surgery. Several years ago, he won over a million dollars in a casino: http://articles.latimes.com/2000/jul/25/local/me-58694He was a great guy, as you know if you remember him.

I know that I've posted this before, a couple of years ago, but it worth a couple of laughs, So.............................
The Chili Contest
Posted on September 18, 2008, 4:50 pm, by RT Cunningham, under Email Jokes and Other Humor. My name is Frank and recently I was honored to be selected as an outstanding Famous Celebrity in Texas, to be a judge at a chili cook-off, mostly because no one else wanted to do it. Also the original person called in sick at the last moment, and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking directions to the beer wagon when the call came. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy, and besides they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted.
Here are the scorecards from the event:
Chili # 1: Mike's Maniac Mobster Monster Chili
JUDGE ONE: A little too heavy on tomato. Amusing kick. JUDGE TWO: Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild. FRANK: Holy shit, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway with it. Took me two beers to put the flames out. Hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy.
Chili # 2: Arthur's Afterburner Chili
JUDGE ONE: Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight Jalapeno tang. JUDGE TWO: Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously. FRANK: Keep this out of reach of children! I'm not sure what I am supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to walkie-talkie in 3 extra beers when they saw the look on my face.
Chili # 3: Fred's Famous Burn Down the Barn Chili
JUDGE ONE: Excellent firehouse chili! Great kick. Needs more beans. JUDGE TWO: A beanless chili, a bit salty, good use of red peppers. FRANK: Call the EPA, I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now. Barmaid pounded me on the back; now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting shit-faced.
Chili # 4: Bubba's Black Magic
JUDGE ONE: Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing. JUDGE TWO: Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili. FRANK: I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Sally, the bar maid, was standing behind me with fresh refills; that bitch is starting to look HOT, just like this nuclear-waste I'm eating.
Chili # 5: Linda's Legal Lip Remover
JUDGE ONE: Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive. JUDGE TWO: Chili using shredded beef; could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.. FRANK: My ears are ringing, and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from a pitcher. It really pisses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Fuck those rednecks!
Chili # 6: Vera's Very Vegetarian Variety
JUDGE ONE: Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spice and peppers. JUDGE TWO: The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb. FRANK: My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric flames. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that slut Sally. I need to wipe my ass with a snow cone!
Chili # 7: Susan's Screaming Sensation
JUDGE ONE: A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers. JUDGE TWO: Ho Hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. I should note that I am worried about Frank. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably. FRANK: You could put a fucking grenade in my mouth, pull the fucking pin, and I wouldn't feel a damn thing. I've lost the sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili which slid unnoticed out of my fucking mouth. My pants are full of lava-like shit to match my goddamn shirt. At least during the autopsy they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing, it's too painful. Fuck it, I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the fucking four inch hole in my stomach.
Chili # 8: Helen's Mount Saint Chili
JUDGE ONE: A perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili, safe for all, not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence. JUDGE TWO: This final entry is a good, balanced chili, neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Frank passed out, fell and pulled the chili pot on top of himself. Not sure if he's going to make it.

Some of you were talking about the old schools we went to. I know after a few of us left Garden City in 1960, they tore it down and built s new school in the playground area. They started Fulton Junior just the year after we left Garden City and then after leaving BDHS they build a new school. What does that tell ya? It is fun to tell the people I work with about my school days.I work in a 425 bed hospital with about 700 other people, who are mostly younger than me by quite a few years. Some of them I am the Father figure, others, the Grandfather figure. I tell then I went to a Red Brick School even though it had 8 grades. Who remembers Mrs Jackson's basement we went to on Rockville Rd. My son tells everyone that the reason my Dad didn't go to kindergarden was it was not yet invented. No junior high for me, Bil Carter, David Grider, Donna Dennis and many others. But it was still good memories.
I have sent a note to Lola telling her that I must attend my 5year old Granddaughter's Birthday Party at Disney World the Weekend of August 15th. To those of you that are going have fun, rehash those old days and take some pictures.

Hi, Jackie! I think we've talked before. I went to Clermont Grade School, and am probably in those group pictures you said you posted on FB. My problem is I can find you on FB, but can't see the pics. Perhaps you have settings in place that only allow your FB "friends" to view them? I'd love to see them, and maybe print them out if that's possible since I don't have any of my school pics. Let me know, ok? I'll check this BB every day to see if you've left me a message, or you can find my e-mail address on the Class of '65 BDHS website. Thx.

Hi Carolyn, the Golf Club and the Pavilion are two different builings, but on the same property - they sit next to each other. I don't know where you are staying, but if coming from the east, take US 136 west and just past Northfield you will find CR 550E - turn right. Follow that road to West Chase. If you have trouble finding it, call me on my cell 317-459-4284. The white elephant gift will be used during many different times, but I don't believe we will be using them on Friday night, but will be collecting them on Friday night if anyone brings them. They are going to be used in several different ways on Saturday. There will be a Cash bar available on Saturday night, but not on Friday night. I am so looking forward to this gathering. I sincerely hope that everybody has fun.

Thanks for the address Bob. I am meeting Rick and Kitten prior to coming on Sat night. However....I am expecting a new Granddaughter to be born any time now and if that should happen, I may not make it. That will definitely take precedence over a reunion. I'm hoping Mataline gets here before Saturday. Mommy is very uncomfortable right now. She's not actually due until 9/9/09, but she is dilating already and things are moving along. Baby is fine and weight nearly 7 lbs, so I think they just got her due date wrong. Hope to see you there.

Just to let everyone know there was a mini and I do mean mini 1964 BDHS reunion this last Monday evening, and it was held in Naples, Fl. Attending was myself, Kenny Faulkner, Nancy Macy Vasquez and Judi Moore McKenzie. Judi and Nancy are grade school friends from Garden City and Westlake. Since we are now on FB, Judi found me invited me and the rest is history. And yes did talk about fellow BDHS grads. My wife who is a 1964 Plainfield grad, her and Judi actually have mutuals friends that Judi knew in Calif. Same world. Ray, Judi's husband is in Alaska fishing. The three of us will not be able to attend the reunion this weekend. I know Judi is headed back to Calif and I am off to Disney World to help my grand daughter celebrate her 5th Bday on Monday the 17th.
All of my fellow grads have a good time. Let your hair down, at least those of us who still have hair and celebrate our good times at BDHS. See you in 5 years.

Sure, not a problem. Just request that I be your friend and after I confirm your request, go to my wall, then click on the photos tab and then click on the 1964 reunion pics. There are 50 pictures. Then click on the first picture to make it larger and use the next tab to go through the pics. Hope you enjoy them. I did not get a pic of everyone because I ran out of memory. Did not have another memory chip with me. I was borrowing a camera. Don't have one of my own. Anyway enjoy!

Lorraine, you are correct and it is a shame that no one talks on it anymore. Our lives get back to as normal as can be and we forget all about posting just a a word or even a hello. It is a shame too. Hopefully some will start back again. Take care and hope to talk to you soon.

Hi Sharon, Lola, Lorraine and all: I havent made time to get on the internet, but even though I have a facebook account I dont care much for it. I like this BD WEB SITE. HOW HAS EVERYONE BEEN? SHARON, IF I GO TO ANOTHER REUNION I GUESS IS WILL THINK ABOUT THE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS. WE DIDNT TALK MUCH, BUT IT WAS KIND OF DIFFICULT. E-MAIL ME YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND MAYBE SOME OF US CAN GO FOR COKE OR COFFEE. I MAY COME UP TO INDY AT CHRISTMAS. JUST IN THE MAYBE STAGE AT THIS POINT. LOVE YOU ALL, CAROLYN FRANKLIN WILBANKS

Carolyn, and other members of the Class of '64: Our Class of '65 has an informal pitch-in picnic every fall, and for me at least it's a lot more fun than the formal reunions. You don't have to worry about seating arrangements - you sit where you want to eat, but you also wander around the picnic, you talk to everybody, you play cards, you pass yearbooks, you laugh at how you turned out. Tons of fun, and much less expensive than renting a restaurant. We rent the large pavilion at Meadowood Park in Speedway. It cost $65 for the day (we always have it on Labor Day Sunday), and we put out a "tip jar" and most people drop in a few bucks and that pays the bills. Check out our photos at http://bdhs65.com(Who'd have thought we'd be holding a BDHS picnic in SPEEDWAY?! We hated each other!)

I can vouch for the fun at the '65 Labor Day Picnic. That class adopted me several years ago and it has always been a lot of fun. I know about as many people in the class of 65 as I do in the class of 64. I married a class of 65 member. Only lasted 30 years however. Too bad, I was looking forward to growing old together. Oh well.

John Villegas, from the class of '67, sent me a photo his sister took of the inside of Lucas Stadium. It has a huge window where you can see downtown. Here is the original photo, and then a version I tweaked for a bit more contrast: http://danhughes.net/images/lucas.htmEnjoy!

Since I have not lived in Indy since 1966 and have not visited downtown since probably 2000, I am going to assume this is a new Football stadium. where did the old one go? Did they tear it down, wasn't it just South of Washington St tied in with a convention center. It was not that old if I remember correctly. I noticed that ESPN just did a movie about the Old Balitmore Colts move to Indy in the middle of the night. I have a friend that lives on the East Coast, close to Baltimore and when I was there, we were talking with people and my friend mentioned that I was from Indy, and the people in the Bar Boooed me because because I said Indianapolis. I stated that I left in 1966 prior to the move, they did not care.

Stan: Great to hear from you. You were my first student trainer. I remember that well. When I left BD in 1970, I landed in Mesa, AZ. I started the training program at Westwood HS. Took a couple of years to convince the higher-ups that athletic training had a place in high school athletics. All 6 Mesa HS have trainers now. Some have 2 because of the number of girls participating. I retired from teaching in 1995. Now my days consist of golf, bowling, pool, walking, working on computers. Have I missed teaching?? Sometimes. Thanks for contacting me Stan. These Quick-Topic sites have allow me to keep in touch with many former students. I enjoy the contact. Mr. T

Hi Carolyn, Yes it seems like we all abandoned this site when the reunion was over. After I retire I will have more time to get on the computer without being rushed to get off. I plan to retire in 2010, finally. I would love to come to TENN once again. My mother-in-law (now deceased) used to own and condo on English Mountain and the families would take turns going to the condo for a few days. We celebrated b-days, wedding anniversaries, honeymoons, vacations and family reunions there. Oh and of course looked for mushrooms in the spring. Great place to vacation. I enjoyed the 45th reunion, wished we had more time to visit with folks though.

Veterans Day was a very good day. I went with students from Crosspointe Baptist Academy. The teacher ask me and our Vets to speak to the kids and march in the parade downtown.( Mary Jo, I heard you were down there thanks for being there. It would have been fun to say Hi!) Anyway; It was very moving for me. The military wife and mother that gave her testimony was very moving also. It behoves us to thank them for the sacrifice of a normal life they give up for these men and women to go fight for our freedom. There is a lady (Major Jennifer Parham)in our church that is in Kuwait. Her husband has the same kind of problems as the mother I talked about above. The mom has 3 boys the man has 2 teenage daughters. If you know someone like that, offer a helping hand, or at least offer a hand of thanksgiving for their sacrifice.

To the people of Garden City Grade school that graduated in 1960. I will not be able to attend your function. Thank you for sending me an invite but I am just not that old. I looked at my Florida Drivers Lic and there must be a mistake on my date of birth. No way I was born in 1946. I am sure it must be 56 or even 66.
