Welcome to the 'Manotick Notice Board' (replaces the previous forum due to spam problems). This is for people in Manotick and surrounding rural area. Just click on "Post a new message" to announce something, ask a question, offer a room for rent, or ask for information. Find it on most pages in The Manotick Directory ( http://www.manotick.net).

Dickinson Days happens every year. The archives contain the pages for 2003-2008. You might find the 2008 contact list useful. If the organizers send me the schedule it will appear in the Manotick Directory "event" page, but I have to warn you this usually happens a week before the event.

why are all the fish ,bird, and animals that come in contact in Stevenson's creek that runs through North gower being killed. It is killing the wildlife and vegetation, why doesn't Rideau Township do something about it. The poisons in the water are getting into the well. Mr. Glen Brooks knows about it and has done nothing about the problem. A realy good mayor to have. If the health board condemed our property at 6530 third rd, and made myself, wife and son leave with the clothes on our backs. This has been going on since Ice storm and it has not improved to this day, which Glen brooks has ignored. My cousin died during the ice storm, all her body functions failed her, like the people in Wakerton ont.

Myself, I had to get 19 Cardio conversions,2 heart operations, and 1 stomach operation. Wife has heart problems. My son has numerous allergy and respiratory problems. I told Glen Brooks in the Citizen that I would stay at this Untill the day I die. I have lots of time now because I am unable to work anymore because of my health. I am going to post signs along the creek and in North Gower stores and restraunts and churches. I am also going to craigs list and Kijiji, Citizen and Sun. I have tape recorded all conversations with Glen Brooks, Norm Sterling ( environmental minister at that time),People in the township hall and at Fire department.Glen Brooks you can not lie to me and the news paper people any more. Have a nice day you will hear from me every day from here on in.
